The trek was great. Very challenging but Juddah and the other guides made sure everyone was looked after and addressed any challenges we had along the way. They looked after us very well.
We recently completed the Everest Circuit trek with World Expeditions, travelling as a family of six — and it was truly the experience of a lifetime. Choosing to do a trek of this scale with teenagers and young adults meant we were especially focused on safety, support, and strong logistics. We chose World Expeditions because of their excellent reputation for health and safety, and we are so glad we did. Not only did all six of us complete the full circuit (a goal we weren’t sure we’d achieve!), we did it feeling supported, well cared for, and genuinely uplifted by the experience. Our trek leader, Juddha, was exceptional — calm, experienced, knowledgeable, and kind. He guided us with quiet confidence, always making sure we were safe, informed, and encouraged at every stage. The porters and kitchen crew were equally impressive — warm, capable, and somehow full of energy even when we were exhausted. The food was amazing, the logistics seamless, and the team spirit unbeatable. From Gokyo Ri to Cho La Pass, Base Camp, Kala Pattar, and back through the villages, the landscapes were jaw-dropping — but what really made the trip was the people and the care behind it all. This wasn’t just a holiday — it was a life-changing experience. One we’ll talk about as a family for decades to come. We can’t recommend World Expeditions highly enough — especially if you’re looking for a trusted company to guide you through one of the most breathtaking adventures on Earth.
I was very impressed with the tour run by World Expeditions. Their level of care and professionalism exceeded all my expectations. Juddah, Mila, Gurwinder and Dillip were so patient, kind and attentive to all of our needs. It was a challenging adventure and nothing was too difficult for them. They made us feel like family and aimed to please at every chance. I highly recommend travelling with this company, in particularly with this crew. These men are a credit to this company.
The tour was an awesome experience. Our guide, Bir was very knowledgeable, caring and experienced. I would definitely recommend the tour.
Very happy with World Expeditions. I could only do a part of the trip due to illness, however, they way World Expeditions managed that issue was wonderful and caring. I would love to go back and do the remainder of the trip at another day. Very professional team, locally and extended.
This was my 2nd adventure with World Expeditions and, honestly, I can't wait for my 3rd. The most stress-free way to have an incredible adventure, meet amazing like-minded travellers and also meet incredible locals. The team that looked after us were the kind and caring and always had our well being at the forefront of everything they did. Accommodations were great and the food was even better. Superb trip - special thanks to the lead guide Sanjay and overall team for working so hard to make the trip safe and special
I thoroughly enjoyed the Everest Circuit & the Cho La in Comfort trek, the orgsnisation was very efficient, the views were amazing and the camaraderie with the guides and other trekkers added to the enjoyment of the trek.
My Everest Circuit + Cho La in Comfort trek was amazing! The scenery was spectacular and so was the way we were looked after by the World Expedition team. We didn't quite make it to Basecamp due to being snowed in at the base of the Cho La Pass so that was a bit disappointing, but our guide Tschering had done his best to get us there until it became too much of a safety issue to continue. We had to head down via a different but safe circuit with the scenery even more amazing with the fresh cover of snow. It was a very challenging trek, especially for a 70 year old, but I never felt like my age was an issue to Tshering and assistant guide Santos. Our cook did a fantastic job with just basic equipment and the meals were always amazing and as much as we could eat. So all up a fantastic experience and I am highly recommending World Expeditions to everyone I talk to about my trek.
Everything has been well organised
The Everest Circuit & the Cho La in comfort tour has been one of the highlights of my life! The guides and support staff were knowledgeable, took great care of us and showed pride in their work.
Very well organised and the staff in Australia and Nepal were extremely kind & helpful. I would definitely use world expeditions again
This is a epic adventure and a challenge on every level. The breath-taking views, sense of achievement, amazing culture and fabulous friendships have created lifelong memories. Just spectacular!
We all had a great time with guide and porters doing everything they could to make our trek as good as possible When they were trying to get info from World Vision local management I felt this was lacking a little as we ended up doing two bus journeys of 10 and 8 hours
Overall our trip was very challenging but enjoyable. Fortunately we had an excellent leader in Roy who we had utmost confidence in. His knowledge of the trek, prevailing conditions and ability to relate to each participant was first class. Our trainee leader in Nima would have learnt quite a lot on this trip. Our other guide in Sandep also worked extremely hard and supported us very well. Not so great was the 10 hour mini bus trip to Ramechhap to make the flight to Lukla. We understand the difficulties the prevailing landslides contributed to thus situation, but the road conditions were very poor and I felt unsafe to be driving on. I think WE need to come up with a safer alternative should this situation continue much longer Also we all agreed that the return trip should be via helicopter and everyone agreed, following an email from the Nepal office, to pay extra for this. However on return to Lukla we discovered no organisation had occurred, extremely poor support from the Nepal office.
While the trip was challenging the support of World Expeditions was great. The Meals were more than adequate. and the Trek leader was fabulous
This experience was life altering in the most spectacular way. We had an exceptional group of local team members who kept us safe, taught us so much not only culturally but also physically given the environment was beyond our lived experiences and amazed us with their professionalism. I could not recommend World Expeditions and their guides enough.
Excellent value for money with every detail thought of and the highest care taken to ensure you are having the trip of a lifetime.
5 out of 5 ?. The coordination and experience from the World EX representatives was first class. Special mention to our Sherpa Guide, Padam. His modesty, knowledge and professionalism was a stand out. I couldnt recommend this trip enough to someone else who wants to experience Nepal.
Excellent, blown away with the care and detail of the members (Padam, Yam and Buwan) food was outstanding considering where we were especially when we were provided for by the world expedition crew themselves. Would recommend 100% confidence you will have a great time mixed with some pretty cool people and emotions.
Very well organized trip. Great time , great Tout leader and crew!
Absolute trek of a lifetime! it wasn't without logistical challenges trekking in the off season with power outages, closed lodges and people in the group getting sick but the World Expeditions team were absolutely phenomenal managing everything. Couldn't be happier with how the trip went or recommend them enough!
Of all the expeditions I been on our guide Rinzing Sherpa was the best. His knowledge of ecology, culture made this trip the most memorable.World Expeditions he is worth his weight in gold.
This trip was fantastic! Well paced to minimise altitude issues Food was great and the guides (esp Rinzin ) were great
First big trekking trip and it was superb. Rinzin, our Lead Sherpa was brilliant. His local knowledge and experience was a great addition to the trip bringing alive the culture and nature we were surrounded by. Well organised and reassuring.
Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Ri and the Cho La were my highlights - I could happily have skipped EBC, Lobuche and Gorak Shep. Crossing the Cho la was one of my best days ever in the mountains. Rinzin Sherpa is an excellent guide and fixer and the trip was well organised and executed.
We trekked via Cho La pass to Everest base camp from late October to mid November and overall we felt that it was a great experience and good value. Things that were good: - the World Expeditions local staff from start to finish were professional, friendly and supportive. Our trek leader Tshering and guide Lucpar and their support staff did a impressive job of taking care of all our day to day needs, health and safety. We cannot thank them enough for their efforts. - The route and acclimatization were well thought out. The ascent was gradual enough to minimize the risk of altitude sickness. - Fantastic scenery - Great weather, we had clear skies every day. - Accommodation was mostly quite good. Things that could be improved: - The accommodation at Gorak Shep was not great (but there does not seem to be any good alternative). - The itinerary published on the WE website is a little inaccurate and should probably be updated to reflect the latest conditions. - The bus ride from Kathmandu to Ramechap (for the connecting flight to Lukla) was long and uncomfortable. Unfortunately this seems to be unavoidable in peak seasons. - A better selection of food. Perhaps more local Nepalese dishes would have been preferable to western dishes.
Highly recommend the Cho La Pass Trekking experience. Hiking during the day was a fabulous, spiritual experience. The down time and nights were much colder than expected. The evenings were the most challenging part of the experience due to the cold.
One of the best experiences of my life! Not only was the circuit itself a truly beautiful journey, but the professional experiences of the guides and porters helped enrich our trek so much. The food was also incredibleeeeee.
World Expeditions is honestly the best company ever. They are so organised and prepared for anything (including helicopter evacuations!). You always feel so safe and taken care of on these trips. Amazing experience.
