Itinerary

Venture into the wild heart of eastern Nepal on the "Kanchenjunga Base Camp" trek—a 25-day journey crafted for experienced trekkers eager for solitude and dramatic Himalayan vistas. Starting and ending in Kathmandu, this guided group tour follows the Tamur and Ghunsa rivers to the northwestern flank of Kanchenjunga Himal, home to the world’s third highest peak.

Along the route, you’ll encounter the rich cultural tapestry of the Rai and Limbu peoples, lush flora nourished by ample rainfall, and an array of awe-inspiring peaks including Pyramid Peak, Jannu, the Twins, and Kanchenjunga itself (8,586m). The return trek traverses the southern side of the massif via the challenging Mirgin La Pass, offering a rare and rewarding mountain traverse through one of the Nepal Himalaya’s most remote and picturesque regions.

The standout feature of this trekking tour package is its access to rarely visited terrain where both cultural encounters and alpine grandeur are at their most authentic—perfect for Himalayan enthusiasts seeking a true wilderness adventure.

perfectly organised trekking.

The Kanchenjunga Basecamp trekking was an incredible adventure for us. We enjoyed the travel from day 1 to day 24. Strenuous walks, cold nights and some high altitude complaints were truly forgotten because of the pure nature, the asthonishing views, the fantastic moral of porters, kitchen team, guide and leader, the Yatzhee games with Lakpa and Karma, the lovely food and informative dinner talks from our leader. An unforgettable and highly recommendable trip for those who are physically fit and ready for adventure!
