Good itinerary. Visited some amazing places/ sites. The activity level and pace was a good level. There was a lot of time on the coach bus but that was necessary in order for us to visit the sites we did. Accommodations were good, clean, responsive staff.
The travel advisors were well informed. The driver and coach were great. The itinerary was great.
A great overview of different regions in Greece! Wonderful experiences that showcased the history and culture of this beautiful country. Our tour guide was top notch and our driver was stellar on the road and with our luggage. We love Trafalgar and look forward to our next adventure with them!
Awesome Information filled excursion! We enjoyed the Ancient ruins across Greece (Athens, Posiden, Korinth, Delphi, Olympia, Monasteries in Northern Greece) Tour Director Stylianos Nomikos was a fantastic tour guide and kept the group organized! Bus driver (Spiros) navigated some pretty exciting roads (The views were spectacular!). Thankyou to the Trafalgar team for coordinating and managing this trip!!
This itinerary is perfect if you’re looking to see multiple parts of Greece, especially the ancient sites. It is a fast-paced trip to fit in all the stops, but that’s normal for multi-city tours and we still felt like we had enough time to see the highlights. Our tour guide and driver were amazing, and the provided meals were very good. If you’re looking to spend time on beaches, make sure you book extra time in Athens or on one of the islands because there is not time during the land tour itself.
Such a wonderful time!! Our tour guide, now turned friend was super knowledgeable and she made you feel like you were a part of her family, as did our driver . They are the best!! They even made some arrangements to get us to have lunch by the water which was something we all were hoping to do and they made it happen! made sure the bus was stocked with cold water, which was helpful with the Greek sun. I celebrated my birthday while there and I was spoiled and made to feel like a queen. So thoughtful and generous! They were an important part in making the vacation a success in all areas; food, fun, laughter, activities and many memories made💛!
Excellent trip. Truly the highlights of Greece. Bus and driver were great. Our host was amazing, super knowledgeable, engaging and accommodating. Loved the local guides too.
was a wonderful tour director. The tour itself was well paced and well thought out. I was disappointed in Greece itself, but that is no fault of Trafalger. The parts of Greece that are ancient and fascinating are still so, not so much with modern Greece.
Excellent trip well organized lots of information amazing tour guide and driver very good hotels all in all a very worthwhile trip
Busy. As long as participants understand that the focus is on ruins and that there is a lot of walking and information overload, then this trip is as it is described. However I among other participants, wished that there was an opportunity to spend an hour or two at a seaside location, as we did drive along shoreline a lot, to allow time to relax on a beach, and even soak your feet in the water. OR allow an extra hour or two at a hotel to enjoy the pool and just relax as this is a very active tour. Our tour director was phenomenal!! As a company, she is a keeper and a wonderful representative of Greece and Trafalgar. I hope you are able to give her a bonus or a solid salary increase! Our driver (sp?) was a great driver and very personable. He and made a great team.
Great tour and great tour guide. We really enjoyed how everything was planned out and we got to see everything we wanted to see during our trip. We also loved the tour guide and the food.
Great itinerary! It was very well laid out. Our travel director Byron Anderson was fantastic as well as the local guides.
The Best of Greece take you on an adventurous and informative journey to some of the significant beautiful ruins.
Lisa was an amazing tour director! Request her! The people in Greece are so kind! Food is amazing! The entire tour was educational and very organized! Love Love Love Greece! Left part of my heart there so I will definitely go back❤️
Great tour with excellent guide & bus driver. Some hotels are now a little dated otherwise very happy with our tour
Thorough and busy content of sites, museums, history, mythology and country. Great value. Great hotels and food. Good for a solo trip. Almost too busy could use an extra day around day 3 or 4. Tour director is best so far of my 4 Trafalgar tours-made it welcome, fun and come aliveis authentic and generous with knowledge and caring for the group. Expert driver . Lovely trip.
was the best guide! The local experts were very knowledgeable and friendly. They made it fun to learn. The food and lodging were outstanding. We really enjoyed the local experiences. I can't wait to book another Trafalgar adventure.
A lot of variety in locations visited, very interesting topics, tasty samples of olive oils and honeys, excellent historical explanations from local experts, fun dining experiences, just the right amount of personal time.
Great mix of activities and sites. Excellent tour director and driver.
This was a very comprehensive tour and the tour guide was professional, engaging and knowledgable and constantly telling us stories that were relevant to the area we were travelling through, it was very interesting. The bus driver was also great and always happy to accomodate us to make the tour easy and fun. The areas, villages and places we visited were so special with its history, these visits were well planned with specialist tour guides to personally walk us through each archeology site or museum, their knowledge is above and beyond so this was particularly interesting and educational. We did a mixture if activities which was a great balance for the tour.
It was a nice adventure. Kept us busy. We seen a lot, the food was great and our tour guide was wonderful, his name was *personal info removed by Feefo*
I'll leave the*personal info removed by Feefo* took us on an odyssey through the country of Greece showing too numerous to mention historic sites and temples, beautiful countryside, mountains, landscapes, Ocean views, and many historical locations with facts. We also experienced The Life of Bees as well as the life of olives and olive Growers. She made sure that each member was present that we were on time but no one was left behind. She was professional and Timely but Pleasant. I would recommend her to others.
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT THE TOUR DIRECTOR AND DRIVER WERE AWESOME, THE ITINERARY WAS GREAT, SOME TOURS UNFORTUNATELY REQUIRE CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PEOPLE AND IF IT WASN'T ENOUGH WE COULDN'T DO IT, WE UNDERSTAND THAT IS NOT TRAFALGAR FAULT, ALSO THE HOTEL ONLY PROVIDES 2 SHUTTLE TIMES TRANSPORTATION AND IF THE FLIGHT IS DELAY PASSANGERS HAVE TO FIND THEIR WAY TO THE HOTEL, OTHER THAN THAT I ENJOY MY TRIP, I WAS WELL INFORM OF THE HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY AND THEIR BEAUTIFUL SCENERY, WITH THE HELP OF OUR PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY TOUR DIRECTOR *personal info removed by Feefo* AND A WONDERFUL EXCELLENT SAFE DRIVER *personal info removed by Feefo* THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!
Our tour director () was excellent and did an outstanding job. My only problem with the tour was me in that to take full benefit, one had to be able to do a lot of uphill walking and for me that was an inpediment. This tour is not for elders.
The itinerary was excellent but accommodations for folks with disabilities was lacking. Not everyone is interested in religious temples, mosques, synagogues, etc. The itinerary was designed as a one size fits all, which is not the case. The choice of venues to eat started with better than decent places and it became less and less attractive. The last place we visited for our last meal was completely ghetto. Food offerings were poor, food was not good, overall quality was poor.
Wonderful trip. Erin was very knowledgeable about Greece. It was like a history class for my grandsons but fun. We arived at the sights before other buses got there and became so busy. We stayed in great hotels and ate at delicious local restaurants. This is my 3rd trip with trafalger. I can’t wait for my next one.
The 5-star rating is for our trip staff. , our travel director, and , our driver, performed their duties with grace, humor, and the utmost professionalism. Winding mountain roads usually terrify me. With at the wheel, I felt comfortable and calm the entire time on the coach. We couldn't have asked for a better travel director than . He is kind, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Greece and its culture. He kept our large group of 48 travelers engaged throughout the tour. When necessary - like when the heat wave proved too intense - he accommodated individuals' needs and modified the schedule. is truly a gem and I hope we're lucky enough to travel with him in the future. We had outstanding local specialists as well, though I'd like to give special recognition to (Athens/Acropolis/Acropolis Museum)(Ancient Theatre at the Asklepieion of Epidaurus)(Ancient Olympia), and (Delphi). Their passion, experience, expertise, and ability to captivate and entertain a crowd shone through. Not to mention that they all have great speaking voices, which kept us all engaged in the stories. In general, I expected far better food than what we experienced. While I understand that it's challenging to find restaurants in the more remote locations that can accommodate large groups, some of the food was poor quality, especially at the lunch spots. Given the online reviews of some of the dining venues, I don't think I'm alone in that view. Moreover, we had to pay out-of-pocket for some of those meals. I wish I could offer a solution. Maybe stopping in different towns with a few more restaurants to choose from and allowing travelers to select their own lunch spot. Or even offering sack lunches at stopping at a park to eat. On the upside, the meals at To Kaplani, Magna Grecia, Villa Symposium, Touris Club, and the Divani Caravel breakfast buffet were excellent. Despite some uneven air conditioning during a serious (>100degF) heat wave, the hotels were good. I'd certainly stay at them again if we return to some of the cities we visited on this trip.
The itinerary exceeded my expectations. Meteora Greece is the most beautiful and peaceful place I can imagine. Delphi and Olympia tied for 2nd and their beauty as unexpected. Enjoyed the history. The remaining places including Athens had so much history. The guides were excellent. Hotels were great. No complaints at all. We are still thinking and talking about Greece
This was the trip of a lifetime. Everything about it was top quality.
The tour guide and bus driver were excellent, but the bus lacked leg room and the overhead area was so narrow that you could not fit anything except a very small bag or backpack. So anything else had to go on the floor. This along with reclining seats led to very uncomfortable long bus rides. The hotels were just ok. I should not have to beg for air conditioning that works especially if the temperatures are near 100 degrees. You should not have to wait for hours for the room to be ready and then have to stand in line with hundreds of people to check in. If you use the same hotels every time, they should know the number of rooms needed and have them ready. The breakfast buffets were mediocre. Same lukewarm food every day with no variety.
A well rounded mix of sightseeing and local activities eg, visit to an olive farm, cooking class.
Everything was perfect. Organization, administration, locations, tour guide (), driver (aka ) all great. People we met along the way, meals, olive farm and culinary experiences all life enhancing.
I really enjoyed the busy pace of this agenda with new sites each day. Our Travel Director was perfect; friendly, easy going, happy, professional, funny, calm, very likeable. Our travel group couldn’t have been better…respectful of each other, always on time, no one held up the group. Even though the temperatures averaged 36C - 40C each day there was plenty of shade to dip into while listening to the local guides with one exception, I will say, the local guide atop the Acropolis got lost in history way too long, almost 30 minutes in one scorching hot spot, yet, the beauty of being able to wander off for photos using the whisperer was fantastic. Food was excellent, hotels were very good. Overall I really enjoyed this trip. A good mix of singles and couples with a terrific sense of humour. A wonderful balance…maybe luck of the draw. The return transfer to the airport checkin counter was fantastic. The WhatsApp communication and follow up reminders each night from our Travel Director was very much appreciated. Well done Trafalgar. The attention to detail was right on. Nice variety of archeological sites, museums, shopping time as well as coastal views.
