A most enjoyable, at times challenging experience since we did the whole trip on conventional bikes. The bikes were in good condition, the chosen hotels were good, and the special app made navigation easy. We were lucky with the weather; I would have hated to do some of the gravel/dirt road stages in the rain.
Challenging but fun ride from Bolzano to Venice. The challenge came not so much from the distance and occasional hills but rather from the cycle path conditions. A lot of gravel paths that were slippery and rough going.
Very well set up. Super organized. Amazing app made our biking experience so much more enjoyable. The app even has voice instructions!
Wonderful, spectacular scenery, comfortable mountain gites, good food, great guide highly recommend.
Our Backroads to Venice self guided trip was absolutely fantastic. The bike paths In northern Italy are incredible and so well maintained we were on a few minor back road but never with a lot of traffic. Scenery was absolutely incredible all the way, much of the path was along the Adige river which was stunning. We upgraded to electric bikes which we were extremely happy with. We had no problems at all. They were easy to use and very long battery life. We were also provided with a lock to lock the bikes up in town. They also had a lock as a part of the bike frame, so we always felt safe leaving them The week of our ride was 35 Celsius plus every day which was a little unfortunate but we were thankful for the electric bike, we just had to leave earlier to avoid the heat of the day We upgraded to the better quality Hotel. They were all excellent, particularly the Bolzano Hotel. All of our breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The app was very easy to use and very accurate. Highly recommend a handlebar holder for your phone. We took a padded seat cover, which I’m very thankful for. Highly recommend this ride.
Fantastic, well organised, cycling trip. Lots of variety from vineyards, cities and olive groves, castles everywhere. A very easy cycling route with easy to navigate instructions.
Overall it was a well organised trip. However we did have some problems with detours which were not documented and were difficult to negotiate on a bike. Also some previous knowledge of what different road signs mean would have been helpful.
The Backroads to Venice self-guided tour was awesome! They took care of all the arrangements very well. The GPS worked great! The bike was in great shape and worked well. Luggage was always delivered on time. The first two days of biking was especially amazing, with beautiful trails and scenery. The stay in the thermal district was amazing. This was my 2nd UTracks experience and I will use them again. Highly recommend!
Overall the trip was great, but an error with our booking meant we didn't get time in Padua, or have the last day to spend in Venice, as we had to move on. Some of the ride days were quite long so we didn't have much time to explore each town.
The trip went well, good bikes, route worked every inch of the trip, hotels were very good and luggage transfer arrived early most days.
