Lara is a fantastic guide, she has put together a fabulous trip, with a wide variety of walks and experiences. She obviously knows the locality extremely well, and is keen to share her love of the area with guests. She never stopped making suggestions and recommendations to make our visit as interesting and enjoyable as possible. An excellent trip.
The tour was expensive and we were in a mediocre hotel with flaky internet. But the tour leader was exceptional in all areas. Her presentations were faultless, her interest beyond compare and nothing was ever too much trouble for her. An excellent part of the holiday Would l travel with Explore again? Probably not they're too expensive. Without Lara's input l'd be asking for a refund.
A splendid week of walking and sight-seeing in this lovely part of Sicily around Etna in a small friendly group with an inspiring tour leader. Each day had different walking, geological and historical highlights in this well-designed itinerary based on Lara's professional and personal experience. And the hotel's dedicated sandy beach was very welcome at the end of each day.
This was a wonderful discovery of the treasures of Sicily. Amazing ancient monuments dating back 300 to 2500 years, beautiful villages and seascapes, the barren landscape of Mt Etna, and great food everywhere.
I was extremely impressed with everything surrounding the tour. This was the first tour I’ve taken after years of traveling. I enjoyed all of our guides and the knowledge they shared with us about the area we were in. The itinerary was very manageable and loved having enough time to explore on our own at each destination. The wineries we visited were beautiful and the wines were excellent.
I can’t say enough good things about our experience in Sicily thanks to Mossimo and his team. Excellent, informative tour guides…Denise, Carlos, Antonio and Sem. The cooking class may have been the highlight, but all of the activities were fun and the pace of the tour, planned activities/free time mix was perfect. Will definitely recommend!
