I thought it was an excellent itinerary and was pleased that we got to have 3 nights at Giardini Naxos in Sicily. We needed it and it gave us a chance to enjoy the town itself. Also, our tour director, Lisa was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped facilitate the trip and make it so successful. I took the tour because you offered both the Puglia region and the island of Sicily both of which I had not been to before. The choice of towns in both regions was excellent. All very picturesque and historic towns. I can see that whoever designed the tour put a lot of effort into showing us as many historic and beautiful sights as possible.
Beautiful part of Southern Italy. The towns were all so picturesque and each had their own individuality. Wasn’t expecting anything like this. Would highly recommend this tour.
The brochure is still listing a visit to lecce and we didn’t go there - they substituted it for a fishing village. I was looking forward to lecce and either the brochure needs to be updated or we need to be told before. The guide said they haven’t gone there in ages! Also two days there was way too much driving. The stay in sorrento was too short also- we had an hour and a half in town. Most of the hotels staff were very rude. The quality of some of the hotels was lacking too with matera being the exception. Breakfasts went from good to ok to inedible and need to be improved.
