This was not just your typical see the forty churchs and ruins. I enjoyed the optional tours and dinners and the experiences that were included. Our tour guide was excellent as well.

This is a perfect trip to do something more in-depth than other Contikis. This trip is modular, and the Real Sicily component is the last part of the trip, so there may be people from early components. The pace was relatively laid-back, and you had ample time to explore each town/city. The included and add-on experiences were great (my favourite was the boat cruise in Cefalu, where we got to swim off the boats at sunset). The farewell dinner was quite overpriced for the quality of the food we received (we were told the main was going to be lamb- it was a quarter of a hamburger patty sliced up). The quality of the hotels was of a higher standard than other Contikis I've done and they were generally in central, convenient locations. Our trip manager was terrific, provided plenty of recommendations, and was friendly and approachable.

Good pace, nice variety. Dinners were late but I guess that’s the norm in Sicily. Our guide was good but she seemed offended that I didn’t do everything on the itinerary. She was that way with others as well.

I loved the towns that we went to and seeing their individual beauty, architecture, and culture. I also really enjoyed the free time add ons and thought they added quality learning and experience to the trip. I do think 2 full days in Cefalù was a lot. There's not too much to see or do there and the second day we were so bored because we had seen and done everything on day one.

It was good but the add ons were not worth the price at all. They were way over priced. The walking mafia tour was £30 and didn’t explain anything and didn’t really take us anywhere.

It started off great but the last hotel really let it down. There was *** in the sink! I don't think the anti-mafia tour was worth it either. To be fair, the rest was quite good and it would have been four star otherwise.
