Very disappointed with the tour. The itinerary was excellent but failed to accurately describe the severity of the trek. The description tended to downplay the experience by using terms like moderate ascent or gradual incline when in reality some of the treks were literally straight up & on paths better meant for more experienced hikers. The app failed to accurately describe the possible weather conditions which made parts of the trek unbearable. Further no plan B was available when the weather conditions made the purpose of the trek impossible. Specifically the hike up the Sperrin Mountains was uncalled for as the rain & fog was so severe that as her hiked up the nearly 1000 feet ascent, there was nothing to be seen other then the ground beneath our feet. Our guide could only tell us what the view was on a nice day but we saw nothing through the rain & very thick fog. This was nothing but an arduous hike up a mountain with no view or sights, not what we expected. As the tour did with the closing of Gobbins Cliff Path, an alternative event should have been offered since the purpose of the Sperrin Mountain trek, ie the spectacular view of the Country, could not be achieved due to zero visibility of our surroundings. The accommodations on the trip were mostly quite nice except the last night. The LaMon Hotel’s staff, especially in the restaurant, was extremely unaccomadting & made our last night on the tour a negative ending. Special kudos to our tour leader, Frances Galbraith. She was outstanding & saw to the needs & comfort of all on her tour with smiles & good feelings.

We loved this trip. It has a full and varied itinerary. Our tour leaders took such good care of us with snacks and drinks and even made dinner reservations for us if we needed. We didn't have to worry about a thing. The walks were challenging for us but they were well worth it and allowed us to see so much more of Ireland than we would have seen on our own. Experienced guides took us on the hikes and city walking tours and gave us interesting information about what we were seeing.
