They organized a wonderful trip which exceeded my expectations, the scenery was beautiful, accommodation excellent, food and service top notch, GPS was easy to use and follow, look forward to doing another adventure with them in the future.

Terrific 6 days of hiking the Aosta Valley and approach to Monte Rosa Italy. The days were beautiful and filled with challenging hikes and the evenings were wonderful and full of good food and company. Hikes were clearly marked and well maintained.

My husband 20 year old daughters & I had an amazing hike around the Wildstruble circuit. Beautiful scenery sunny weather and challenging hike. Amazing GPS map App so hard to get lost with comprehensive information about accommodation and what to expect each day. Lovely accommodation!

For the most part the itinerary was good. I felt that at times too much time was allotted after the walking tours. I do realize that this was because they wanted to have the hotel room ready when we arrived.

Spent 464 Euros (about $540 US) to see the view from the Eagle's Nest and the view of the Matterhorn. We saw neither because of the weather and cloud cover. There should be a disclaimer in the excursion writeup explaining the chances of actually seeing the landmarks

Overall excellent trip. Weather helped as was excellent. Able to walk all high passes and enjoy fantastic views. Accommodation was basic but OK, food overall was good. Never went hungry. Plenty of opportunity to stop and take photos, never felt rushed.

Switzerland Walking Tours

Highlights of Switzerland Walking Tours

  • Take a foodie walking tour in Zurich to taste the Swiss dishes and chocolates during your Switzerland trip.
  • Wander around the edge of Lake Geneva. As one of the most popular lakes In Europe and one that’s surrounded by the Alps, it is a breathtaking place for a walking tour.
  • Check out the hills and trails of St Moritz. In winter, this is a world-famous ski resort, but in the late spring and summer months, the town is a playground for pedestrians and hikers alike.
  • Walk in the shadow of the Matterhorn in the car-free town of Zermatt. A popular ski resort and hiking region, the town’s quaint alpine vibe is the perfect spot for Switzerland walking tours.
  • Combine your Switzerland walking tour with an e-bike excursion. Thinking about hitting up the Bernese Oberland area of Switzerland, including the mighty Eiger? You might need the extra boost on the incline sections with an e-bike.

Travel Tips for Walking Tours in Switzerland

  • Check with your hotel reception or hostel desk to see if there are any free walking tours around your local area. Especially in Swiss cities like Zurich, Bern and Basel, free walking tours are very common and a great way to orient yourself.
  • Consider looking into porterage services if you are on a multi-day Swiss walking tour.
  • Join a guided tour if you are unsure about routes and sites to visit during your Switzerland trip.
  • Make sure to carry enough cash to purchase supplies in a village or small town—remember it is Swiss Francs, not Euros here.
