Absolutely fantastic experience! This trip blended culture, history, and breathtaking landscapes perfectly. Switzerland, especially was a dream come true with stunning alpine scenery. The entire tour was well-organized with comfortable accommodations and seamless transitions between destinations. They delivered an outstanding tour!
The tour was good. It covers a lot of cities. Tour provides 8am to 7pm sightseeing. It was too hot when we toured. One of the hotel in Zurich did not have A/C. Breakfast in all hotel was good. Hotels are good. It’s mostly bus tour. It’s convenient as you don’t have to worry about carrying luggage from one place to another. The driver and staff are good. For first timer, it’s a good one as everything is planned for you. However if you plan to visit attractions other than mentioned in the tour, it’s difficult.
I took this trip expecting to see a lot, four countries in 10 days. Knowing we'd be on the move was expected and I was looking forward to getting to see so many locations on one trip. My trouble started early on tho, with a delayed flight causing me to miss my transfer to the airport. I'd communicated with the tour company, who insisted it was my fault and I had to take a taxi at my own expense to the first hotel. Not a great way to start a trip. The hotel we stayed at started an unfortunate trend, as every one is far outside the city center and quite dated. Black mold in showers was common, as was one power outlet per room and no air conditioning/windows that didn't open. I understand options to lodge so many people may be limited, but moldy bathrooms and hot rooms aren't acceptable at this price point. The locations being far from city centers prevent you from going out in the city at night to have nice meals/shop, and there are often no/very limited food options near these hotels and even they may be closed by the time you reach hotels. Perhaps an upgrade to nicer hotels could be offered. Also unfortunate is the bus that you are sometimes on for 5+ hours at a time to reach different countries has no wifi, even though its advertised to have it, and there are no power outlets at your seat. Having said all this, I felt the sites themselves were beautiful and amazing. I loved the cities we saw, and felt this trip helped me plan where to come back to and spend more time. Grindelwald and the Alps were a big highlight.
Discover Switzerland on Your Custom Trip
Snow-dusted peaks, sapphire lakes, and postcard-perfect meadows, Switzerland is a destination where nature and precision meet in perfect harmony. It’s the land of chocolate and cheese, red trains that wind through mountains, and villages that look straight out of a fairy tale. A customized Switzerland tour lets you experience this Alpine wonder exactly as you imagine it. Wander through Zurich’s Old Town and stop for a coffee by the Limmat River, then take a lakeside stroll in Lucerne before heading into the mountains for a dose of fresh Alpine air.
Hike beneath the majestic Matterhorn in Zermatt, marvel at the mirror-like calm of Lake Oeschinen in Kandersteg, or ride a cable car to the panoramic trails above Grindelwald. Whether you dream of luxury hotels and scenic rail journeys or quiet alpine cabins and local cheese tastings, our travel designers can make it happen. When to plan your bespoke Switzerland holiday
When it comes to planning a customized trip to Switzerland, you can do it months in advance, but is it necessary? Our travel experts in Switzerland can accommodate personalization requests up to three weeks before your trip, but ideally, they recommend starting the process four to six weeks in advance. This gives you the best chance to secure boutique accommodations, premium rail passes, and exclusive experiences tailored to your travel goals.
Besides this, it’s also crucial to decide when you will travel to Switzerland. Summer (June to September) is the high season, with warm weather and clear skies ideal for scenic train rides, lake cruises, and hiking, though it’s also the busiest and priciest period.
The shoulder seasons; spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November), are the sweet spots to explore Switzerland. Spring brings alpine blooms and quiet trails, while autumn offers golden forests, crisp air, and harvest festivals. From November to March, Switzerland turns into a winter wonderland for skiers, snowboarders, and Christmas market enthusiasts. Read our month-by-month guide with seasonal overview.
How many days is ideal for a customized Switzerland trip
At Bookmundi, you can request for custom Switzerland holidays ranging from 2 days to weeks. So whether you have a long weekend or several weeks to spare, our travel experts can create a custom Switzerland itinerary. With just a few days, you can enjoy a cultural city break in Bern, Zurich, or Geneva, soaking up art, architecture, and lakefront views. A 7-day itinerary allows for a balance of city exploration and Alpine escape, perhaps combining Zurich, Lucerne, and a few nights in Interlaken or Zermatt.
If you have 10 to 14 days, you can journey deeper: glide along the Aletsch Glacier, ride the Glacier Express across snow-clad valleys, or visit Saint Moritz and Verbier, where luxury meets adventure. Two weeks in Switzerland opens the door to a seamless mix of iconic highlights and lesser-known gems — from the vineyards of Lavaux to the hiking trails of Lauterbrunnen and Mürren.
