Very Good

Absolutely fantastic experience! This trip blended culture, history, and breathtaking landscapes perfectly. Switzerland, especially was a dream come true with stunning alpine scenery. The entire tour was well-organized with comfortable accommodations and seamless transitions between destinations. They delivered an outstanding tour!

9 day tour Italy, Switzerland and Paris

The tour was good. It covers a lot of cities. Tour provides 8am to 7pm sightseeing. It was too hot when we toured. One of the hotel in Zurich did not have A/C. Breakfast in all hotel was good. Hotels are good. It’s mostly bus tour. It’s convenient as you don’t have to worry about carrying luggage from one place to another. The driver and staff are good. For first timer, it’s a good one as everything is planned for you. However if you plan to visit attractions other than mentioned in the tour, it’s difficult.

Amazing sights, great food, but accommodations/communication leave a lot lacking

I took this trip expecting to see a lot, four countries in 10 days. Knowing we'd be on the move was expected and I was looking forward to getting to see so many locations on one trip. My trouble started early on tho, with a delayed flight causing me to miss my transfer to the airport. I'd communicated with the tour company, who insisted it was my fault and I had to take a taxi at my own expense to the first hotel. Not a great way to start a trip. The hotel we stayed at started an unfortunate trend, as every one is far outside the city center and quite dated. Black mold in showers was common, as was one power outlet per room and no air conditioning/windows that didn't open. I understand options to lodge so many people may be limited, but moldy bathrooms and hot rooms aren't acceptable at this price point. The locations being far from city centers prevent you from going out in the city at night to have nice meals/shop, and there are often no/very limited food options near these hotels and even they may be closed by the time you reach hotels. Perhaps an upgrade to nicer hotels could be offered. Also unfortunate is the bus that you are sometimes on for 5+ hours at a time to reach different countries has no wifi, even though its advertised to have it, and there are no power outlets at your seat. Having said all this, I felt the sites themselves were beautiful and amazing. I loved the cities we saw, and felt this trip helped me plan where to come back to and spend more time. Grindelwald and the Alps were a big highlight.

The Alpine paradise of Switzerland, with its high snowy peaks, manicured meadows, and sapphire lakes, is also the home of chocolate, cheese, and red trains. Take a stroll through Zurich Old Town and grab a cup of coffee in Lucerne before venturing outdoors for a relaxing walk. Gaze at the pyramidal shape of the iconic Matterhorn while trekking in Zermatt or discover the captivating highland landscape of Kandersteg, home to numerous attractions, like the Allmenalp trail and the tranquil Lake Oeschinen.

When to go to Switzerland

The best time to visit Switzerland depends on your inclinations and interests. The country turns into a playground for winter sport lovers between the months of November and March, while you can admire the foliage in the woods of the Swiss countryside during fall, which lasts from September to November. Spring (April to June) is a great time to hike amid the wildflowers on Alpine slopes. The summer months between June and September are the high season in the country, when temperatures can range anywhere from 18 to 28 °C. Learn more.

How long to stay in Switzerland

Itineraries to Switzerland can be as short as a long weekend or last for a couple of weeks or more. If all you have is a couple of days, then enjoy a city break in Bern or head for the tiny resort town of Saint Moritz instead. Plan at least a week-long jaunt in Switzerland if you want to capture the sights and sounds of its cities and take in the beauty of its mountains. If you have around 10 days to spare in Switzerland or two weeks, drop by the trendy cafes of Zurich before heading for the icy walls of the Aletsch Glacier. Bump into the jet-set amid the opulent chalets of Verbier or navigate the Alpine Pass Route. Learn more.

Must-visit destinations in Switzerland

Visit Zurich, a city with a history going back to the days of the Romans, and take a stroll around the city’s lake or enjoy the views from the Roman fortress of Lindenhof. For romances, castles, and picturesque views, explore Lake Geneva. A taste of paradise awaits you in La Gruyere, known for its world-famous cheese. Test your endurance as you power your bicycle through the winding stretches of Le Fou, one of the world’s most famous cycling trails, and breathe in the crisp mountain air of Gstaad, the wintery playground of the rich and famous. If you are not an active traveler, you can hop on the Glacier Express and chug through the Alps and the Rhine Gorge instead.
