The Back Roads tour was a great way of taking in a lot of the natural beauty of Scotland (highlands and the islands of the Inner Hebrides) as well as interesting aspects of Scottish history. Clara, the tour leader, gave a lot of attention to ensuring that all 11 members of the tour were supported to be included in as many experiences as possible. Ian, the bus driver, skilfully guided us around many scenic "back roads" as well as contributing his own take on Scottish/Gaelic culture and history from time to time. Recommended for people who are able to do some walking at various places of interest and especially for people who have an interest in Scottish history.
Really enjoyable tour, tour guide was very knowledgeable and driver was awesome, felt very safe. Negative aspects were accommodation was too small and too remote at couple of locations. Time frames were bit tight at times. The few little extras thrown in were nice though....overall 4star
Tour guide Leslie Anne was fabulous, driver Abby was excellent. The highlands and Isles were magnificent. A very memorable experience!
The places we visited and stayed at we’re great
Was a wonderful experience for my first time. The scenery was great and a wonderful guide and driver. Being a small group everyone was friendly. I enjoyed the lovely hotels and castle we stayed in. The season was the right time for travelling. Well done Peter for the interesting places he showed us. Was great to visit Loch Ness even though Nessie was hiding. People so friendly. Didn’t see an otter or fox. The crows were great what huge nests. Again thanks so much for the trip and your kindness when I became ill. Just wished my suitcase had been bigger. All the towns we visited and ferry crossings were fantastic.
