Salam! Welcome to Morocco. On arrival at Marrakech Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure. Tonight, there is an orientation meeting lead by your tour leader at around 7:00 pm.

If you can't arrange a flight that will arrive in time for the meeting, you may wish to arrive a day early so you're able to attend. We'll be happy to book additional accommodation for you (subject to availability).
A thrilling adventure through Morocco's High Atlas Mountains awaits you today. Get ample opportunity to witness the varied geological and ecological zones as you travel through the Moroccan countryside during a five-hour bus ride over roads that are steep and winding with stops included along the way.
The journey today will take you to the highest elevation of the whole trip, at more than 2,260m. Drive through the Tizi N'Tichka road, a dramatic, winding path that travels through peaks and valleys of the High Atlas Mountains.
Stop for a tour of Aït Benhaddou, a prime example of the classic Southern Moroccan architecture style. Continue your journey by minibus at around 3:00 pm. Arrive at Agdez, a small trading village that is also a gateway to the vast Sahara Desert.
Check into your hotel on arrival in Agdez. You are free in the evening.
Your Sahara adventure starts today at about 8:00 am when you board the minibus. Drive across the Middle Atlas to Erg Chigaga on a road that winds through pine groves and giant acacia forests. This route has been used by camel convoys for centuries.
After lunch in Foum Zguid, at around 2:00 pm, you will board off-road vehicles and make your way to the Erg Chigaga Desert. Your trip experience leader will help you and your group members interact with the welcoming locals.
Later, settle into your Sahara camp where dunes rise and fall around you and feel the spirit of the explorers of the yesteryears. Witness an incredible sunset while listening to traditional music under a canopy of stars. Weather permitting, the Milky Way might be visible tonight.
You will stay in a walk-in canvas tent complete with a camp bed, mattress, fresh linens, pillows and private, ensuite toilet facilities at the camp. There is a separate tent for dining.
Wake up amid the silence of the desert this morning. Your camp is located where few foreigners venture, along routes known only to camel and goat-herding Tuareg nomads.
Start your day by boarding off-road vehicles for a ride to meet the nomads. Visit members of a local desert community in their home to experience the traditional side of Moroccan life. Your trip experience leader will then guide your group around the untouched land of the African Sahara during a full-day trip.
Perhaps you would like to visit geological sites or discover the secret oases in the area. Don't worry. Your trip experience leader knows the area like the back of his hand. You will even get the opportunity to enjoy a short camel ride.
Your day comes to an end at around 3:30 pm, after which you will head for your hotel in Foum Zguid. Check into the hotel and relax before it is time for the next activity. At around 6:00 pm, join a local cook to learn more about Moroccan cuisine. Tonight's meal centres around staple Moroccan dishes.
Leave your hotel after breakfast and travel to Amtoudi, an anti-Atlas town in the middle of an argan forest. Your three-hour orientation hike starts after you have checked into your hotel in Amtoudi at around 3:00 pm.
The igoudars (communal granaries) of Amtoudi offer a peek into the region's prosperous past. These sites still exist today and are well worth a visit. In the villages, these fortified collective granaries are used to store food, such as cereals, honey, and the jewelry of the tribe members.
The architecture of these granaries, as well as the materials used to construct them, fit harmoniously with the surrounding landscape and reflect the characteristics of Berber architecture, distinguished by its thoughtfulness and its respect for the environment.
Then stop at one of Morocco's most eye-catching natural sights, the lush Amtoudi Palmeraie Gorge. Don't forget to carry your camera as you take a walking tour of the wondrous gorge and its surrounding area.
You have the evening free for yourself. Relax In the middle of the Atlas mountains.
Set out for the city of Essaouira in the morning. Along the way, stop at the delightful resort town of Agadir, where you will get the chance to see beautiful beaches along with the famous surfing area of Taghazout. Visit a cooperative to see traditional methods of extracting argan oil. The demand for this oil has grown drastically due to its use in cosmetics and cuisine in the West.
Continue to Essaouira. Also known as Mogador, the modern city of Essaouira was constructed only in the late 18th century by Mohammed III. French and Arab influences shine through its medina's architecture. Essaouira played a major role in maritime trade, bridging Sub-Saharan Africa with Europe. A multicultural lifestyle thrives in this place as people from various ethnic groups and religious backgrounds live in harmony with one another.

Bid farewell to the Atlantic Ocean at noon today as you head for Marrakech. On arrival in the city, you will head out to discover this historic destination. Start from Koutoubia, a 12th-century mosque and minaret that is also one of the oldest Moroccan mosques in existence.
Then explore Bahia Palace, whose 360 rooms tell the tales of love and engineering mixed with Italian marble and Sudanese gold. See the richly decorated tombs of the Saadi dynasty. Your evening comes to an end in the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, home to a dazzling display of acrobats, storytellers and snake charmers.
Take your time to absorb Marrakech's vibrant, kaleidoscopic culture. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow travelers.
