Itinerary
A guided walk in western Sicily to discover archaeological sites, colourful seaside towns and stunning coastal views. On the southern border of Europe, just a few kilometres from Tunisia, western Sicily offers an eclectic mix of culture, history and some exceptional landscapes. On this guided walk you will discover the archaeological site of Segesta, where temples, theatres and an acropolis are evidence of Sicily's ancient historical legacy. Walking along the Zingaro Nature Reserve shows the typical vegetation of the Mediterranean countryside in a wild and extremely beautiful environment of coves, caves and impressive rock walls. Visit the wild island of Levanzo and explore the narrow streets of Trapani, sample local produce in the markets and discover Palermo's art treasures. Your guide will unlock the secrets and history of the region, making this trip truly unforgettable.
day 1Arrive in Palermo
Make your own way to your hotel in Palermo. There will be a welcome briefing with your guide at 5pm, dinner is included tonight in a local restaurant.
Palermo has many architectural masterpieces belonging to different cultures and centuries. If you have arrived earlier in the day, we recommend you taste some typical street food like “panelle” and “cazzilli”. Time permitting you can head to Monreale to admire its beautiful Cathedral which is famous for its precious golden mosaics in the Byzantine style.

day 3Visit the Nature Reserve of Zingara (5hrs)
day 4Explore the Monte Cofano Nature Reserve, transfer to Trapani (3hrs)

day 6Day trip to Levanzo, smallest of the Egadi Islands (4hrs)
