Upon arrival in Rome International Airport, you will pick up your vehicle and drive toward the beautiful area of Tuscany (approx. 3 hours drive). Once you have arrived at your hotel in Montecatini Terme, Montecatini Terme is located in the Province of Pistoia, within the Tuscany region of central Italy. Check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure

day 2 - Mon Tecatini Terme – Lucca – Pisa– Montecatini Terme
Spend a full day at leisure in Montecatini Terme or drive to Lucca and Pisa. Driving approximately 30 minutes from Montecatini Terme will take you to the ancient medieval town of Lucca, one of the most fascinating towns in Tuscany. Walk the narrow streets of the original Roman grid to San Michele and its beautiful piazza, which occupies the site of the ancient Roman Forum. While in Pisa make sure to walk the quaint streets of this Old Maritime Republic and enjoy the medieval arcades of the Borgo Pio, along with views of the city's famous university that has fostered many of Italy's Nobel Prize winners. Also, not to be missed is the famous Piazza dei Miracoli, site of the Leaning Tower, Baptistery and Duomo. Return to Montecatini Terme in the evening

day 3 - Mon Tecatini Terme – Florence – Montecatini Terme
Spend a full day at leisure in Montecatini Terme or travel to Florence (45 Minutes drive), Take the time to discover this elegant and sophisticated city. Florence, capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. Be sure to see the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery of St. John, and Santa Croce, the 13th century Franciscan Church that houses Cimabue’s famous crucifix. You can see the historic open-air art museum of Signoria Square, with its beautiful statues, Palazzo Vecchio, and the Ponte Vecchio \"Old Bridge.\" One of its most iconic sights is the Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome engineered by Brunelleschi and a bell tower by Giotto. The Galleria dell' Accademia displays Michelangelo’s “David” sculpture. Your day trip departs from Florence, where you hop aboard your coach and travel through the Tuscan hills. Arrive first in the medieval city of Siena, celebrated for the horse races that pack cheering crowds into the main square twice a year. Learn about the area's history and architectural gems from your guide as you stroll the cobblestone streets. Make your way to the stunning Siena Cathedral, constructed of striped black and white marble, for a tour of its truly unique interior. Relax afterward with a 3-course lunch at a local restaurant or winery, enjoying plates of bruschetta, pasta or other regional favorites, complemented by Italian wine. Continue to the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano, known for its towers, visible for miles over the cityscape. Soak up some free time to wander the local shops and streets at your own pace. Reunite with your guide and head next to Pisa and enjoy additional time to discover the city on your own. Check out the Pisa Baptistery and the Duomo, or snap a photo with the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Your day trip concludes later in the afternoon with transportation back to Florence. Please note that this day trip involves a moderate amount of walking.
Optional: Cinque Terre Day Trip from Florence with Hiking Available: Daily
Your journey from Florence to the Cinque Terre starts by a coach, where you can relax as your guide shares stories about the area. You'll hear tales about the Tuscan city of Lucca and its famous resident Puccini, before learning about the Cinque Terre and its five fishing villages—Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso and Riomaggiore—that form the national park. After a short, two-hour drive, you'll begin your hike through the Cinque Terre on the hills above Manarola. With your guide to help lead you, you'll follow a scenic trail to Corniglia, which culminates in a steep climb of some 382 steps. Note: This charming region is natural and untouched, so there are no handrails or safety rails, and paths often cut close to the cliff's edge. (if you choose the tour option without hiking, the train will be used instead to move between villages). Once in Corniglia, you'll enjoy some free time where you can relax and refuel with these spectacular views, before continuing your journey with a hike to Vernazza, where you'll pass terraces of olive groves and colorful bars and cafes. Take a dip in the bay before heading to Monterosso by train, where you'll have free time to explore the beaches, wine shops and artisan goods famous to the village. The final portion of your journey will include a boat ride (or train ride, depending on the weather) to Riomaggiore, a village known for its candy-colored houses, as well as a final hike back to Manarola. Your day trip from Florence to the Cinque Terre ends with a coach ride back to the city.

Your day trip will begin in central Florence, where you’ll hop on your coach and relax on the ride to Pisa. Watch the scenery change from bustling Florentine streets to the vineyards and rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside. Upon arrival in Pisa, journey on foot to Cathedral Square with your guide. Admire the impressive Duomo, Baptistery and Campo Santo as your guide provides insightful background on the historic sites around you. Gaze up at the impressive Palazzo Vescovile in Piazza Arcivescovado, now a popular hotel. Make your way to the city’s most famous monument and bypass the lines with your direct access ticket. Head straight up the spiraling 294 steps to admire panoramic views at the top. After the guided tour you will have some free time at your disposal to take amazing pictures. Your tour will conclude with transportation back to Florence. Please note: If you have no head for heights, walking difficulties or aversion to enclosed spaces, the Leaning Tower of Pisa climb probably won’t be for you. Use the time to relax at leisure in Cathedral Square, instead.
day 4 - Mon Tecatini Terme – Chianti – Greve – Montecatini Terme
Spend a full day at leisure in Montecatini Terme or enjoy a relaxing drive to visit the heart of the Tuscan countryside in the Chianti region, where one of Italy's famous red wines is produced. We recommend you visit the most emblematic village: Radda In Chianti. Typically, during the harvest season, you can stop for a tasting of the region's wine & local specialties at one of the many wineries. Greve, once an important market town in the Middle Ages is considered the entrance gate into the Chianti region. Don't miss a visit to the beautiful Montefioralle, a well-preserved small, fortified village located on a hill above Greve and the birthplace of the famous explorer Amerigo Vespucci before returning to Montecatini Terme

day 5 - Mon Tecatini Terme – Siena – San Gimignano – Montecatini Terme
Spend a full day at leisure in Montecatini Terme or drive to visit two of Tuscany's true gems, Siena and the medieval walled town of San Gimignano. Set in the beautiful Tuscan countryside with lush vine escarpments and gray-green olive trees, Siena offers much to see, from fine palaces to the Duomo and Piazza del Campo, where the famous Palio Horserace is run. Walking along the medieval streets admiring splendid palaces. See the Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in the world and site of the famous 600 years old horse-race, called “Il Palio”. Then, travel to San Gimignano, a typical Italian city that has remained intact through the centuries; situated on a hilltop and famous for its numerous towers, frescoes and other art treasures. Built by early noble families, fourteen remaining stone towers line the ramparts of this medieval town, dominating the streets below and creating a beautiful skyline easily seen miles outside of town. Perhaps you will enjoy a leisurely walk through the town's narrow lanes and squares before returning to Montecatini Terme

day 6 - Mon Tecatini Terme – Rome
Today you can explore your last day in Montecatini, with its thermal waters, spa and wellness treatments and within the city you can find some gorgeous fountains. There is also a vintage funicular from the 1800’s which offers you a 360-degree view over the city and Tuscany region. Admire the spectacular setting of hills, cypress trees, olive groves and endless rows of grape vines before you make the drive back to Rome. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure in Rome or choose to book one of our optional tours and activities. Rome is known for its stunning architecture, like the Colleseum, Pantheon, and Trevi Fountain as the main attractions with amazing foods such as spaghetti, lasagna, pizza and gelato.

The first stop is Esquiline Hill where our guide will show you some of the treasures inside the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, before continuing by coach to see the Holy Staircase and the Lateran Palace. Visit the Basilica of San Giovanni, the cathedral of Rome (inside visit). Then proceed along the Ancient Appian Way, passing the Chapel of “Domine Quo Vadis” before arriving at the Catacombs, the ancient underground cemeteries and first hiding places of the Christians. A visit to either the Catacombs of San Callisto, Santa Domitilla or San Sebastiano is included, depending on seasonal conditions. The tour will end with a view of the Baths of Emperor Caracalla. End of the tour and return by bus to main central points of the city (Via Veneto, Piazza Barberini, Piazza Venezia, Piazza della Repubblica and Termini Rail Station).

Next your expert guide will lead you in St. Peter Basilica, revealing you its masterpieces as the PietĂ by Michelangelo and the internal decorations by Bernini, ending the visit in St. Peter's Square.
Optional: Half day tour of Crypts & Catacombs (3.5H) Available: Every Day
Discover imperial and early Christian Rome and millennia of history as you descend into the Eternal city's underground burial chambers, its long winding catacombs, and its crypts. Go below and beyond to a time when Christianity was considered a simple cult whose members were executed as pagans and buried as martyrs. The one and only tour that takes you to crypts and catacombs from different historical eras, in various locations and with varying styles. Much of what Rome has to offer is buried underground-and through this tour, our guests can discover the underside of Rome through three select sites--The Cappuccini Crypt (chapel decorated entirely by human bones), Domitilla Catacombs (ancient Christian burial ground) and the Church of San Clemente (built over an ancient fourth century church built over an even older Roman house containing Christian artifacts and a pagan temple-with ruins reaching 57 feet deep).
Optional: Visit the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum Walk in the footsteps of Roman emperors and citizens on a tour of Ancient Rome, with a VIP entrance to the Roman Forum first: The Colosseum will be the last part of your tour. Before you visit the Archeological area, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in ancient Roman times with this intense 25-minute multimedia video showing the before and aftereffects of all the best sites of Rome including the Colosseum and Underground, Pantheon, Circus Maximum and the Vatican area. The video is ideal to view before taking your tours as one can appreciate the splendor of how the ruins were in Ancient Roman Times. Skip the long line at the entrance and access the Roman Forum: walk along the Via Sacra and immerse yourself in Roman history. The main path through the Roman Forum, the Via Sacra, once sparkled with festivals and triumphal processions. Ends at the Temple, which houses the altar where Julius Caesar was cremated. Visitors from around the world still leave flowers and candles at the site to this day. Before reaching the Colosseum, you can have a general overview of Palatine Hill where legend has it Romulus founded the city of Rome. The hill looks down over the Roman Forum and the Circus Maximus chariot-racing circuit. Once inside the Colosseum, your expert guide will teach you about the amphitheater's bloody past, with tales of gladiators, mock sea battles, and executions.
