It was well paced tour. We were lucky enough to have a great guide in . We could have had more time in Zermatt.
Was good but spent a bit too much time for the day in some places and not enough time in Bern.
was a great tour guide, and was a wonderful safe driver.
In One word, it was Fantastic. We really enjoyed everything about it.
Experienced a lot more than I could if I travelled on my own
Great! Planning is good, visited many places of interest.
For the most part the itinerary was good. I felt that at times too much time was allotted after the walking tours. I do realize that this was because they wanted to have the hotel room ready when we arrived.
Spent 464 Euros (about $540 US) to see the view from the Eagle's Nest and the view of the Matterhorn. We saw neither because of the weather and cloud cover. There should be a disclaimer in the excursion writeup explaining the chances of actually seeing the landmarks
There was not much open in Zurich on the August 1st holiday. Something should have been planned.
Liked the varied itinerary and opportunities to get to know fellow travellers. Really liked Matterhorn. Didn’t care for chocolate factory visit. Was hokey and child like..no chocolate demonstration which is what we had been looking forward to. Really enjoyed walking tours with select guides at various towns and attractions. Loved the ski jumping and the night out at Swiss show Didn’t like first or last hotel. Both rooms were small cramped and had no air conditioning. The last hotel had shards of glass outside our room and down the hall. Reported it to chambermaids…nothing done. Reported it to front desk next day..nothing done. Was still there when we left.
Yes!!! This was magnificent tour, and I highly recommend it to others. Our tour guide was outstanding,
The tour itinerary covers the major cities of Austria and Switzerland very well and a brief stopover in Berchtesgaden. Walking tour of Zurich and Vienna very enjoyable. A wonderful experience travelling on a Luzern public transport with *personal info removed by Feefo* our tour director who taken indeed a very good care of the tour group and good photographer too
The itinerary and excursions were great. Our tour director, *personal info removed by Feefo* , went way above the call of duty to take care of us and make sure we had a wonderful experience. He was truly great! I would recommend this tour to others!
Our tour guide *personal info removed by Feefo* made our Switzerland Austria trip memorable, full of experiences of historic interest and information, culture, fun and care. He made us all feel like a "team" of adventurers experiencing together times tat would be a part of our lifelong memories. Thank you, *personal info removed by Feefo*
This trip was amazing! We got to see so many beautiful places in Austria and Switzerland. I would let others, who are thinking about booking this trip, that there is a fair amount of walking involved and that there are many early mornings. This wasn't a problem for me but some of the older attendees found it challenging. I would suggest that, in terms of the extra outings, the chocolate excursion be removed. Everyone I spoke to, including myself, was disappointed with this one. All the others were great.
Fantastic trip from beginning to end. Gorgeous scenery, great excursions, knowledgeable local guides.
A wonderful tour of Austria and Switzerland. Learnt so much about the history and culture of the area. Also some excellent food and restaurant experiences as well as extra time for exploring and shopping.
It was an outstanding trip. The scenery was beautiful. The people in Austria and Switzerland were so polite and wonderful. The bus tour director was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
This itinerary covers so many things you can not miss Definitely a trip of a lifetime Picture perfect and lots of history and culture It’s worth every penny You will not be disappointed Visited 4 countries Austria Germany Italy and Switzerland Highly recommended to put on your bucket list Our guide Erik Bleeker was outstanding He is incredibly knowledgeable and so friendly and helpful You definitely could tell he absolutely loves his job Thank you for the memories of a lifetime
Itinerary is fine.
The entire trip was so well planned! The included excursions and the optionals were very relevant to the journey and gave excellent opportunities to see a diversity of style and interests for the group. Our guide was a joy to be with!
My wife and I travelled to Switzerland and Austria in June 2025. The itinerary was well designed to capture the landscape and sights but not too rushed or tiring for seniors. We maximized on the optional experiences to add width and depth to our experience.
That the tour focuses on Switzerland and not enough options for Austria. Also our 1st hotel in Vienna had no air conditioning. Tour guide Judith and bus drivers excellent. Truck stops on freeways a bit tacky. You say Melk Abbey but we got 1 second glance from a freeway. This tour 2 years ago went down to Graz. I am sad it was changed to a quick look at Austria big cities and that is all. I wanted dinner with the Nuns. The farm visits in both Switzerland and Austria were lovely. Overall a great tour with a few disappointments.
Itinerary is good , except for choice of hotels in Vienna and Zurich not upto the mark.
The scenery is stunning! There are a few optionals that need to be changed but overall it was a great trip.
The choice of hotels needs to be addressed. It is unacceptable to put people in hotels without air conditioning
The tour was fantastic. The pacing and organization were great. The tour gave us a variety of activities.
It took me to the main places in Austria (Vienna, Salzburg,Innsbruck) and Switzerland (Luzern, Zermatt, Geneva, Bern, Zurich, etc) that I wanted to see especially the Matterhorn which was the highlight of the trip.
We were put in a hotel the first 2 nights in Vienna that had scaffolding all around it and broken air conditioning. It was miserable. It seems like Trafalgar would have known the condition of this hotel and put us somewhere else. The air conditioning had not been working for a week. Also our room at the Mona hotel in Montreux wasn't working and we sweated all night. We will not use Trafalgar again because we were very unhappy with these things. It seems like a reputable tour company like Trafalgar would not allow this to happen.
Moved hotels too often and some were below standards.. Also too much time to shop.
Very good selection of optionals. Great guide and driver. Very organised and helpful with lots of extra tips for journey.
The alps, the lakes , the Bernina Pass, simply breathtakingly beautiful.
The tour hit all of the sites to which I had a great deal of interest. The highlight for me was Zermatt and the trip up the Klein Matterhorn. Plus we had a great guide in !!!
Beautiful scenery, We saw interesting cities at the right pace - we alternated single night hotel stays with 2-night hotel stays. Fantastic tour director. He was familiar with and knew a lot about the places we visited.
Beautiful scenery. Great tour guide
Beautiful scenery
An excellent trip itinerary with many unique experiences. Our tour guide and driver were exceptional!
It was absolutely perfect. The right amount of time in each city. The coach, driver, and tour guide were fantastic.
Our tour director, and our coach driver, "Super" , were the best . . . shared pertinent, historical information at every stop and kept us safe with his superb driving skills. The itinerary itself was ambitious, we got a lot of "bang for our buck". It was exhausting but worth every minute. I was disappointed that, when I booked the tour, the agent I spoke with didn't mention travel insurance. Being a first-timer, I didn't think to ask about it so ended up having to purchase trip insurance from another vendor after I booked the tour. It would've been nice to have been informed of the option to purchase from Trafalgar when I booked the tour. Other than that small issue, I arrived back home tired but full of wonderful memories and new friends, thanks to Trafalgar!
Excellent itinerary! Enjoyed the entire trip which had both beautiful countryside and interesting cities. The trip included everything I had hoped experience in both countries. Hotels were satisfactory…clean and comfortable. Excursions were well done. Our tour director Amy, kept us moving and informed. Mario, our driver, was exceptional.
