Well organised trip. Enjoyable walk through nice countryside and medieval towns and villages, not too demanding but at the same time there were a few more challenging sections. The only section that I would by-pass next time was a walk from Spello to Foligno - short walk of 7 km mostly through the outskirts of Foligno. Would have been better to be taken to the next section starting at Uppello. The accommodation was very good, although the hotel Poledrini at Foligno whilst comfortable was rather sterile. Overall got what we expected and would recommend.
The information provided was excellent and the navigation app worked well. The accommodation was extremely good. Overall I found the walk more difficult than I expected, but in the end very rewarding.
The trip was varied and well paced. Accommodations were generally excellent. Unfortunately one of our party had an injury and needed to be assessed at the hospital. The staff at our Trevi accomodation the Hotel de Trevi were really helpful finding a taxi at Easter. Despite this set back we still enjoyed the last two days and were able to explore our surroundings even if not do the full hike.
Our walk from Assisi to Spoleto was a pinch me moment. At all time the walk was very satisfying and beautiful with spectacular vistas and interesting structures along the way. The combination detailed directions and downloaded map gave us confidence that took the stress out of the adventure and allowed us to relax and focus on the journey. We recommend this walk to anybody of average fitness levels.
Some sections of Assisi to Spoleto have very uneven surface, bear this in mind when selecting footwear.
