Seven-Day Mount Kilimanjaro Climb: Lemosho Route

1) Airport pick up from Mount Kilimanjaro airport to moshi: excellent and on time. Eli is a safe driver. 2) 7day Lemosho route: guide, Good Luck, was professional and caring. Helped checked luggage pre-trek to ensure I have all equipment and clothing, potential risk assessment for the hike. Most importantly he helped me to reach the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro successfully despite being 4 hours later than everyone due to my slow speed. 3) Team: one guide, one chef, (Amos), one waiter (David). These were the main people who spoke to me. Great English. 4 porters who helped me as I was walking like a snail and had some slight toe injuries. Full team was very attentive to my needs and preferences of food, comfort level, questions about anything about Mount Kilimanjaro. Very friendly and patient crew.

Hygiene at camp was clearly a priority, and handwashing stations and daily sanitization made a big difference. On summit night, the guides ensured we were fully prepared both mentally and physically. We came for Safari and trek up Mount Kilimanjaro for 10 days. Everything was perfect including  professional staff and accommodation was comfortable and well equipped to help us to experience the beauty of the night sky at high altitude camp. We got luck to spot native wildlife like elephants, buffalos and monkeys. It was really amazing safari and well organized. Truly Tanzania is home to many natural wonders and exotic animals. We took many pictures  as we can for memories and to share with our friends and family back home

This trip was a long time in the making and this company helped us to achieve this every step of the way. They seem to offer the most reasonably priced package when we searched around but when we finally got onto the trek, we realised just how good the value was for our money. We had a team of 15 locals from the Kilimanjaro Region with us, including two experienced guides, Nickson and Livingstone. With their help we, as inexperienced but reasonably fit hikers, were able to reach the summit. The team could not have been more supportive. In the long buildup, Naick was very patient and helpful in emails and whatsapp messaging, allowing us the time and knowledge that we needed to organise our trip. We got a thorough briefing and help preparing our trekking gear/clothes, at the hotel, on the night before the trek. Each evening we had a briefing about the following day, before getting a wake up call in the morning from our attentive host, Zakayo - who accompanied us to the summit on the final day and will make for a great future guide. We were treated to fresh ginger tea daily, as well as other hot drinks and soup to keep warm and big portioned meals/snacks for energy. The porters in the team have great strength and heart. After we had stocked our smaller bags with the day's essentials, they would pack up the camp, including our remaining larger bags and move the whole camp to our next location - overtaking us on the way! At this point, as others have mentioned, paying for a private toilet for your group/self, to have as part of your camps, is well worth the money from the start. Our guides were more than mere pace setters, pointing the way forward, they were knowledgeable about the local region, flora and fauna. They have vast experience of climbing Kilimanjaro from all the various routes. Also, importantly, they were very humble, friendly, supportive, just generally good humoured company, as well as making for decent photographers for our small group! The trek itself is manageable, as the guides will tell you, it is more of a mental test and taking things "pole pole" - slow and steady will get you to the top, while allowing you to enjoy the journey and some breathtaking views along the way! Finally to emphasise again, this is a locally based company with local employees. They provided our small group of three with a thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable experience. I hope that spreading the word with this review, will go some way to repaying them for their hospitality and the fantastic memories which they have given to us.

My friend and I just finished a 7-day Lemosho route trek with this local travel specialist that ended in the successful summit of Kilimanjaro. I cannot praise the team enough and highly recommend them for any Kilimanjaro trek. From our pre-trek communications to our airport transfers and throughout our time on the trek, we were treated and cared for exceptionally well. This local travel specialist seemed to us to be a smaller tour operator. While this meant they didn’t have a fancy bus to drive us around, it also meant we didn’t get a “big tour” experience and received more attention and heart than what we expected, truly living out their mantra “One Team, One Dream.” It starts with our guides, Goodluck and Nickson. As the primary leaders of the expedition and the ones most directly responsible for our wellbeing, they were both exceptionally professional throughout. They were both concerned about our experience, maintaining an open dialog about daily expectations and about any questions that came up. On the health front, they measured our blood oxygen levels and pulse nightly, and we openly discussed our feelings and concerns to ensure we were all on the same page. Importantly, I felt they did a great job picking the right hiking paths and maintaining the right hiking pace for us. We felt this was critical to successful acclimatization, minimizing exhaustion, and ultimately to our successful summit. Lastly, they really encouraged us to enjoy the journey and not just the destination. They were very knowledgeable about the geology, ecology, and history of Kilimanjaro and they freely shared their knowledge. Having the right guides is essential and I feel like we got the best in Goodluck and Nickson. But our positive experience didn’t end with our guides. Incredibly we had 9 additional people (11 in total) supporting my friend and me on our adventure. And they were all wonderfully caring, too (“One Team, One Dream”). Our chef made wonderful, filling meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we had a waiter/water attendant, we had a person who attended our private toilet, and six additional porters who were incredibly hard working setting up, breaking down, and transporting our camp from site to site. To a man, they were exceptionally supportive, friendly, and fun-loving, and it was truly heartwarming to be surrounded by a wonderful group of people who all wanted to see us succeed. A great example: After we summited, my friend and I were struggling to come down the mountain due to exhaustion. Our guides messaged the base team, and six additional members met us 1/3 or 1/2 way up the mountain, carried our packs, and arm-in-arm helped us get back to base camp where they all congratulated us with hugs and high-fives. The Kilimanjaro trip was the fulfillment of a decades long dream, and the exceptional experience with this agency made it wonderful. I highly recommend them.

I love every part of our journey! One of them was the games that we play as we hike. It helped us forget that we are hiking. It was fun. We liked the meals served every single day. They served plenty of food which we can't consume. The positive vibes, the care, the endless patience, the spirit of camaraderie, the swahili words that we learned, the love, and many more. THIS WAS FANTASTIC!!! I could not recommend this tour company any more highly. Every aspect of the trip was exceeded and we were surprised everyday with a new adventure. The mountain and the route were fantastic, but what really made this such a worthwhile investment were the guides. Everyone encouraged us, the entire time. Where do I start! this tour operator is just what you need to get the most out of Tanzania. We worked with Naick who made sure our climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and experience a Safari was flawless. The operator provided the best hotel, guides, vehicles, cooks, porters; all at an affordable price. The organization for the trip was easy as Naick provided us with a detailed confirmation and itinerary. All of our travel questions were answered promptly and we were picked up from the airport right on time. This company goes above and beyond the rest. Our Mt. Kilimanjaro guides Bakari and Matthew were the best we could hope for. During the toughest weather and terrain they made sure we had everything we needed. They pushed us and took care of us. Our gear, provided by the tour operator, was top-notch and allowed us to safely summit. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable, both with the Mt. Kilimanjaro climb as well as the safari with our guide Chris. We were able to see almost every animal the Serengeti has, and our guide made sure we had the best views. I dont think this trip would have been so memorable if it werent for this tour company. They made this trip an incredible experience and one that Ill never forget! Amazing experience We were a group of 3 people from France, who made the 7-day ascent of the Lemosho route - descent Mweka Kilimanjaro Trek. Climbing Kilimanjaro was fabulous because we really had a great experience and we got the best service. Naick, who is a local travel expert, contacted us all the time and the communication was easy as he made all the logistical arrangements and the price was absolutely reasonable in addition This trip exceeded my expectations Everything was well planned, from arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, transfers to the hotel and back and of course the duration of the trek The route that we chose is very picturesque each day presented different sites. And this route helped us acclimatize to the high altitude and increased our chances of success before trying to Uhuru Peak. The food was delicious and varied every day, served with fruits and vegetables, including coffee and tea. I couldn't believe how creative the chef was at producing hot food on the mountain. In general, we could not have asked for a better guide and a better team. The hike was great, it was a great success to stand at the top and we could not have done it without the support of this team we were strong and fit and for that we finished the hike a day earlier. And even after the hike, Naick was kind enough to invite us home and had dinner with his family It made for a truly remarkable experience. We had a great trip to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and even after.

I was able to email and book the complete itinerary from Ireland with excellent communication from Naick. Having never been to Tanzania before I didn't quite know which is which Upon arrival at the airport we were greeted by the generous man by the name of Nickson. He honestly couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. He leaded us to the transport. His English was very easy to understand, His driving skills were excellent and we had a great time with him in the car not only upon the arrival but also the departure day Since this was our first to in Tanzania-Kilimanjaro, I cannot write this review without mentioning the Best guide of all time Bakari and Bryson Not only are they great at their jobs but they are super friendly and insanely polite. Plus, we didn't have one complaint about the food. The food was amazing and for that I would especially point out Kulwa [chef]. In short the whole crew was more than helpful yet made sure we were always ok with everything and anything we needed and they were nice and attentive to us the whole time and few of the crew actually became friends during our course of Kilimanjaro Along with Ramadhan, He was like the master of all song I can say! He kept the party alive for us during the time we were at the mountain!! It was fun singing and dancing with the crew I promise he could win Kilimanjaro Idol, Im not saying climbing Kilimanjaro Mountain was easy. Cause honestly it was difficult at some point and challenging but Im saying with the right choice of the operator that got great crew makes the whole experience worthy and somehow easy After the summit we had five days left with to Tanzania and due to the top notch service we had at the mountain we decided to also go on a 3- days safari to Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro and a day trip a chemka hot spring after. Nothing went wrong the whole experience was Incredible Our only real complaint the entire time was that had to leave get back home to get back to our jobs. LOL! will be ungrateful if I didnt give the special thanks to our guide, porters and cooker without you this couldnt be done. Thank you very much our friends. It was a trip of a lifetime and We were definitely not disappointed.

I was satisfied as, our entire Tanzanian trip from Mt Kilimanjaro to the safari was well organized and operated, Asante sana to the kind people working with our tour organizer since they were outstanding and extremely knowledgeable.
