Tanzania Mountains Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our Mountains Tanzania tours
Together with my daughter, I climbed Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route at the beginning of June 2025 – and what an unforgettable adventure it turned out to be! From the very first contact, the tour operators inspired confidence: excellent communication, clear information, and a warm welcome upon arrival. Our team of guides, porters, and cooks was exceptionally professional, friendly, and dedicated. They not only ensured our safety but also created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the entire climb. The route itself was breathtakingly beautiful. Every day brought new landscapes – from lush rainforest to alpine desert, and finally reaching the summit: a snow-covered Uhuru Peak. The guidance from our guides was invaluable; they constantly monitored our health and acclimatization and kept us motivated during the toughest moments. Thanks to their support, my daughter and I ultimately stood on the summit of Kilimanjaro – an emotional and proud moment that we will both cherish forever. The organization of meals, camp setup, and daily planning was impeccable. It’s incredible how much comfort the team was able to provide, even at high altitude. I wholeheartedly recommend these guys to anyone who wants to take on this special challenge. The combination of professional leadership and warm, personal attention makes all the difference. Thank you, team, for an experience that we – as father and daughter – will never forget!
1) Airport pick up from Mount Kilimanjaro airport to moshi: excellent and on time. Eli is a safe driver. 2) 7day Lemosho route: guide, Good Luck, was professional and caring. Helped checked luggage pre-trek to ensure I have all equipment and clothing, potential risk assessment for the hike. Most importantly he helped me to reach the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro successfully despite being 4 hours later than everyone due to my slow speed. 3) Team: one guide, one chef, (Amos), one waiter (David). These were the main people who spoke to me. Great English. 4 porters who helped me as I was walking like a snail and had some slight toe injuries. Full team was very attentive to my needs and preferences of food, comfort level, questions about anything about Mount Kilimanjaro. Very friendly and patient crew.
Visiting Tanzania in April and choosing Habari Adventure was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I landed to the final goodbye, everything was smooth, professional, and deeply heartfelt. I took on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and though the mountain tested every part of me, the Habari team was great at every step. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and caring, always checking in and keeping the team spirit alive with their encouragement. The porters were heroes-cheerful, strong, and full of heart. And the meals! Every bite gave me energy and comfort, especially when the altitude and cold got tough. Summit night was the hardest and most emotional part of the journey, but also the most magical. Reaching Uhuru Peak at sunrise, with the sky painted in gold, was a moment of pure triumph. I couldn't have done it without the love and support of the Habari crew. Beyond the mountain, I also went on a short safari-and again, Habari delivered a soul-stirring experience. From spotting elephants and lions to peaceful sunsets over the savannah, I felt connected to nature in a way I never imagined possible. The guide was passionate and deeply knowledgeable, and the camping setup made me feel both adventurous and safe. Thank you, Habari Adventure, for making April one of the most meaningful months of my life. I came for a challenge and left with strength, gratitude, and a heart full of memories.
I recently completed the 7-day Lemosho Route hike to Mount Kilimanjaro, and the experience far exceeded my expectations—especially in terms of safety, professionalism, and overall organization. From the moment we began the trek, the crew’s attention to safety was clear. Our guides were exceptionally well-trained and experienced, conducting daily health checks that included monitoring oxygen levels and asking detailed questions about how we felt. They were incredibly proactive in spotting early signs of altitude sickness and adjusted the pace and rest stops accordingly. This gave our entire group the confidence and peace of mind to fully enjoy the journey. The Lemosho Route itself is both beautiful and well-paced for acclimatization. We walked through rainforest, crossed high moorland, and trekked over alpine desert—each day offering a new challenge and new scenery. Thanks to the route’s gradual ascent and the crew’s careful pacing, everyone in our group adapted well and reached the summit successfully. The support team—porters, chef, and camp staff—also played a huge role in keeping us safe and comfortable. Camps were set up promptly and securely, meals were warm, nutritious, and catered to our energy needs, and clean drinking water was always provided. Hygiene at camp was clearly a priority, and handwashing stations and daily sanitization made a big difference. On summit night, the guides ensured we were fully prepared both mentally and physically. Their encouragement, constant monitoring, and careful pacing made a very difficult climb feel achievable and safe. If you’re looking to hike Kilimanjaro and safety is a top concern, I highly recommend the Lemosho Route—and even more so, doing it with a professional, experienced team that prioritizes your health every step of the way. It was not just a successful summit, but a safe and unforgettable journey to the Roof of Africa.
Our Kilimanjaro climb happened on 1st January, 2025 was an experience of a lifetime. The guides including Gabriel were highly professional and ensured we were comfortable every step of the way. The porters and cooks were fantastic, making sure we had delicious meals and enough rest. Their expertise made the summit possible! 100% recommend!
I recently had the incredible opportunity to trek Mount Kilimanjaro with this tour operator, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. Here's a breakdown of the key aspects that made this adventure so amazing: Gears provided were top-notch! The tents, sleeping bags, and other trekking equipment were in excellent condition. They made sure everything was well-fitted and comfortable, ensuring that we were fully prepared for the trek. I especially appreciated the attention to detail, as all equipment was thoroughly checked before the journey began. Food served was outstanding! Despite being in such remote conditions, the meals were always fresh, delicious, and nutritious. There was a good variety of meals to keep us energized throughout the trek. The crew also made sure to cater to our dietary preferences, which was greatly appreciated. Hot, flavorful meals after a long day of trekking were the highlight of each evening. Mountain crew, including porters and cooks, were absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly friendly, always ready with a smile, and worked tirelessly to ensure we had everything we needed. They were attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make our trek comfortable. The crew's professionalism and dedication were truly exceptional, and they played a huge part in making this journey so enjoyable. Summit night was, without a doubt, the toughest part of the trek, but the guides were there every step of the way. Their encouragement, patience, and expertise helped us push through the extreme conditions. They kept us safe, motivated, and focused, and thanks to them, we all made it to the top. I can’t thank them enough for their support during that challenging night – it truly made all the difference. Overall, I highly recommend this company for anyone looking to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. From the excellent equipment to the exceptional service and support from the crew, every aspect of the experience was well-organized and truly professional. If you're planning to tackle the mountain, they can deliver an experience you’ll never forget!
