The "Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek: Five Days" is a compact Himalayan adventure designed for young adults and experienced trekkers craving panoramic sunrise views. After a scenic flight to Pokhara, start your trek through rhododendron forests and Gurung and Magar villages, culminating in the iconic sunrise at Poon Hill—where a ribbon of snow-capped peaks greets the day. This tour’s standout feature is its accessibility: offering breathtaking mountain scenery and cultural encounters within a manageable timeframe. Perfect for those new to trekking or anyone short on time, it’s a quintessential Nepal experience condensed into five unforgettable days.

day 1 - Kathmandu arrival

Meet our representative on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel in the city. You are free for the rest of the day after checking in. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

day 2 - Fly to Pokhara & trek to Tikhedhuga

Leave your hotel after breakfast and head for the airport. A 25-minutes flight from Kathmandu will take you to Pokhara. Around 41km away from Pokhara city is Nayapul, where we will drive. Your trek starts from Nayapul.

A steep trail from Nayapul goes down to a bridge over a small stream. On the other side of the stream is Birethanti, a large village. Follow the trail through the main street of Birethanti as it enters into bamboo forests and winds past a large waterfall to reach Sudami.

A steady climb brings you to Hille, from where Tikhedhunga is about 15 minutes away. Spend the night in Tikhedhunga.

day 3 - Tikhedhuga – Ghorepani

The total time you will spend walking today is around six hours. Start the day by crossing the suspension bridge over Tikhedhunga Khola and climb the steep, stone steps that are said to number 3,300.

Reach the large Magar village of Ulleri (2,080m). Continue through pastures and fields to the hamlet of Banthanti. Hike through magnificent oak and rhododendron forests, with gurgling streams to reach Nangathanti (2,460m). Your day comes to an end at Ghorepani, a picturesque Gurung village surrounded by rhododendron forests.

day 4 - Ghorepani – Poonhill & drive back to Pokhara

An hour's climb further from Ghorepani is Poon Hill, the famous viewpoint in the Annapurna region that offers spectacular views of mountains from Dhaulagiri to Annapurna and Machhapuchhare. Enjoy the magnificent Himalayan panorama as the sun rises.

Then take the trail that leads to the south of the hill. Hike all the way back to Birethanti via Syauli Bazaar. A 30-minute walk from Birethanti takes you to Nayapul, from where we will drive back to Pokhara.

day 5 - Fly back to kathmandu and departure

Enjoy your last views of the Annapurna range from Pokhara before catching the flight back to Kathmandu. Please note that tonight's accommodation is not included. We will drop you off at the airport today.
