Explore the serene Langtang National Park, just a stone’s throw from Kathmandu, and revel in panoramic views from Kyanjin Ri or Tsergo Ri.

This route is perfect for those new to trekking or on a budget, offering well-maintained trails through forests and alpine meadows, with the chance to spot peaks like Dorje Lakpa and Langtang Lirung. Optional extensions let you tailor the experience to your interests.

day 1 - Kathmandu—Syabrubesi

We will begin our 6-day trek with an early breakfast followed by a drive to Syabrubesi. Drift through winding valleys and traditional villages as you reach the Langtang Himalayan range.

Once you enter the Langtang National Park, make sure to show your trekking permit at the checkpoint. From here, you reach Syabrubesi in approximately two hours with a view of the Langtang and Jugal range.

Upon arrival, check in to the lodge and spend your remaining day at leisure.

day 2 - Syabrubesi—Lama Hotel

Our trek will begin after breakfast. We will cross bridges and walk along a straight path to reach Domen. Continue walking and follow a small river path. From here, begin your uphill hike. The Hike takes you along a dense forest of rhododendron and oak. Make sure to stop by and look at the cliff to notice the bee hives. On the way, you pass along the Bamboo and Phare village.

Once you reach Ramche, your uphill journey ends. We will take a right and follow the straight trail for about half an hour leading to Lama Hotel for overnight stay.

day 3 - Lama Hotel—Kyanjin Gompa

We will start today’s trek through the ancient jungle on the stone-paved path. On the way, you will see a glimpse of Langtang Lirung between the trees. After two hours, we will reach Riverside, a small village with some lodges. From here, continue walking and cross a suspension bridge followed by a small wooden bridge that will lead you to a steep uphill path. Once we reach the end of the hill, the trail emerges from the forest and we will be able to see the Himalayas on either side of the valley.

After passing a few settlements used by herders who bring their livestock to graze in the high pastures during summer, you will reach Ghoda Tabela. The path then takes you gradually ascends leading you to Langtang valley. You will first walk across the old Langtang Village. The trail is a melancholy reminder of the 2015 earthquake where the village of Langtang once stood. Cross the section and you will reach the new Langtang Village settlement, where you will spend your night.

After Langtang Village, we will head to Kyanjin Gompa for overnight stay.

day 4 - Kyanjin Gompa—Kyanjin Ri—Langtang Village

We will start our trek early morning today to get the sunrise view from the viewpoint. The trail climbs steeply and you will ascend through rocky terrain until you reach the top of Kyanjin Ries. As you ascend, you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains as well as the Langtang Valley below. You will be able to enjoy the sunrise and spend some time at the top of the summit. Once we reach the summit, we will descent back to Kyanjin Gompa.

Here, we will have a nice breakfast at the teahouse before continuing our trek back to Gompa. From there, we will head to Langtang Village for overnight stay.

day 5 - Langtang Village—Syabrubesi

After breakfast, we will take an uphill hike. Walk along the paved stairways to reach Sherpagoan. From here, continue walking and cross the bridge from the path widens. We will continue walking along the ascending trail and once we reach the peack, we will descend with a shortcut from the narrow trails through a small forest of pines and oaks that will lead us to Kyanjin Village.

From Kyanjin, we will head to Syabrubesi. The trail to Syabrubesi is a steep descent through the forest path. Once we reach the end of the trail, we will cross a bridge to reach our destination for the night.

day 6 - Syabrubesi—Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will transferred to Kathmandu via the same route. We will take our lunch on the way. After reaching Kathmandu, you will be presented with a trekking completion certificate, followed by a farewell dinner program.
