For those short on time but eager for a taste of Nepal’s mountain magic, the "Ghorepani Poon hill Trek 5 days" trip is a perfect fit. Crafted for young adults who prefer moderate trekking, this journey offers stunning Himalayan panoramas from Poonhill without the demands of high-altitude hiking. Wander through terraced fields and Gurung and Magar villages, soaking in vibrant local culture and picture-perfect scenery. Guided every step of the way, the trek promises breathtaking sunrises and unforgettable memories. The tour’s unique selling point is its accessibility—delivering awe-inspiring views and cultural encounters in a compact, manageable itinerary.

day 1 - Kathmandu to Pokhara(1400 m)

You should let us know about your arrival to Kathmandu, we will be there to pick you up from Airport to your Hotel but our package only starts from the second day of your arrival.

Our representative will come at your door, at your hotel at 6.30 am in Kathmandu, to receive you before we start the trip.

The trip starts with a drive of around 6 to 7 hours through lush green forest, meandering road through the hills and gracefully flowing riverside.

You will also come across lively markets and clusters of villages on the way. Buffet lunch will be taken in one of the roadside restaurants.

Today, after we drive to Pokhara (200km), we will see the good scenery of the majestic city. You can go boating in Fewa Lake(if we have enough time, as boating facility gets closed early), which overlooks the Annapurna Himalayan Range. In the evening, we prepare for the trek.

day 2 - Pokhara-Nayapul to Ulleri (2070m)

On the first day of the trek, second day of our trip, its a 2 Hours drive in a local bus/taxi from Hotel to Nayapul (1050m). From Nayapul we start our Poonhill panorama trek.

Covering many picturesque views of a northern hilly region of Western Nepal we ascend through the various alpine forest, bamboo forests and grass and shrub-lands.

Tonight, we stay over-night at Ulleri, a very beautiful and serene town with folk culture will provide you a Tour-orgasmic experience along with its very refined hospitality.

day 3 - Ulleri-Ghorepani (2874 m)

As we leave Ulleri, a town of glistening views, culture and hospitality, we walk along the trail made out of stone all the way to Ghorepani. We pass along the way with Annapurna on our right and wild flowering forest and wet soiled hills at our left. As you go along it sometimes feels like the way has got never-ending stoned steps and you may want to admire those who might have built it.

As we arrive to Ghorepani (2874 meters/9429 feet), an ancient-looking village wrapped-up in the abundance of services and facilities you wouldn't have imagined to get in a village like this. It's the best the time to tell your friends, families and loved ones about your trip and how much you want to be skeptical about yourself that you want to forget everything and just settle here. But it doesn't just end here, we are here only on the way, staying only a night. And tomorrow morning, early, shall be the liveliest of the times you have of this trek or of all treks, for that matters.

day 4 - Ghorepani-Tadapani(3200m)

Early in the morning(at around 4 or 4:30), we head up to Poon-Hill, to a viewpoint to have a panoramic view of sunrise. You will be able to see mesmerizing sunrise from this place. After an hour up-hill walk in a cold breeze, sipping coffee/tea sold by a guy out there, looking at the Sun rising on Dhaulagiri Mountain Range, Annapurna Mountain Range, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu, Ganesh and several other Himalayan Ranges seems nothing less than magnificent, that with people at the number of 200 or more .

After this we trek back down to Ghorepani and have breakfast. After breakfast we continue our journey back to Tadhapani, a place towards Pokhara. With such a bewildering view and nostalgia of craving to stay some more day in Ghorepani we head ahead placing the whole Annapurna Range on the right and some steep hills at our back.

And we are here at Tahdapani, you might want to get some rest and then time for dinner.

day 5 - Tadhapani-Ghandruk-Pokhara

Wake up, early, sunrise isn't any less spectacular here than you see at Poon-Hill, with less crowd and cold breeze. After we enjoy a picturesque morning with a lovely breakfast at Tadhapani we now head towards our last destination but not any less, Ghandruk, before Pokhara.

Ghandruk is much a cultural hub mingled with a picturesque scenery in its background. You can enjoy around several things like inside-home cultural museums, tiled roofs, people and their hospitality along with your lunch.

Now its only 3 hour ride in a local bus from Ghandruk to Pokhara leaving several beautiful landscapes and clear-water rivers.

Our package ends as we get to Pokhara today.

Poon Hill 5 Day Trek

The hike was beautiful and we were blessed with wonderful weather despite going during monsoon season. And even though it was the off season I found it very peaceful and a really lovely time, so try not to let the idea of an off-season scare you too much :)

Poon Hill Trek

I can’t recommend Shiva and his team highly enough. From the moment I stepped out of Tribhuvan International I felt that warm Nepalese welcome, with our guide Bishnu greeting us at the airport. Nepal is a beautiful country with some of the most amazing countryside. Shiva’s team guided us on a truely authentic experience always ensuring we were catered for. Poon Hill although considered a relatively easy hike still had some challenges and Bishnu ensured we took it at our pace. We climbed Poon Hill in what is considered the off season, maybe we were just fortunate with good weather but all the waterfalls and the fewer crowds seem like the perfect time to me.
