3 Passes trek with nice views, good weather and good agency

We had a really nice time on our three passes Trek. I would definitely recommend doing the three passes over the normal Everest base camp trip as views are much nicer and you see more of the Everest region. Just don't rush the trip too much as you really need the time for acclimatization. Making the trip longer is always the better option then shorter and we have seen quite some people who had big issues with altitude sickness because they went up too fast. There are several peaks you can add additional to the three passes if you have enough time what I would recommend as well. Be careful with the guide you get, at the end it is your trip so he should really adapt to your wishes. Here you have to be strict that the guide is following your wishes and not you his.

It was a truly memorable experience.

I did the Everest base camp and the three high passes trek. The arrangements made were terrific and the itinerary planned was great. The guide was a fantastic person, we got to trek together a lot especially after the basecamp hike ended and we went on our own for the three-passes trek. It was a truly memorable experience and I am definitely coming back to Nepal again in the next couple of years for some climbing.

Great trek, great company, so-so guide

Completed in late monsoon so managed to get some sporadic, but nice views. This local travel expert handled rebooking flights/hotels when bad weather cancelled the first flight which was fantastic, they are a great facilitating company. Guide was nice but disinterested in the main points of interest. I was rushed when I reached the Kalla Patthar and Gokyo Ri viewpoints which were the highlights of the trip. I would have liked to spend more time enjoying the sights but the guide was keen to finish our hiking days quickly. I also missed out on a good 6am view of Everest from Kalla Patthar because my guide didn't feel it was "good enough" to wake me up for it. Instead, we arrived for 730am and saw nothing but clouds. By the end of the trip, I had to advocate for myself and insist on early starts so I could enjoy the views I came to see, which I felt defeated the purpose of having a guide. Definitely recommend the agency, but hope you get a better guide than me.

3 High Passes/EBC Trek

What an experience! The 3 High Passes/EBC Trek is a must do, the scenery is absolutely stunning!!! I definitely do not regret to had choose this local tour operator for this trip. The bond with my guide ''Keshar'' was top, he really knows the mountains and definitely became a new friend along the way. Raj the owner was also super efficient helping me and answering all my questions really fast and super friendly too. I guarantee you guys that you will see me again for the Mera Peak sometime soon!! Thank you! Pascal

Green Valley is a gem, Raj is an amazing coordinator, and Bisho is a superb guide

I chose a local tour agency when it came to booking my EBC + High passes trek in April 2021and boy am I glad I did that!! In summary, they have more than earned my highest recommendation.Raj, the coordinator, was incredibly accommodating from the beginning and closely worked with my schedule and ever-changing COVID guidelines to help book my trip. I only had 9 days off from work, and was comfortable with my training, but the shortest trip offered by any other tour operator was over 12 days. However, with Raj, he created an individualized itinerary for me and assigned me a fit guide/porter duo to set me up for success. He even personally picked me up from the airport and dropped me off after I completed my trek. My flight to Lukla got cancelled due to the poor weather, and Raj diligently worked with me to organize a Jeep to Phaphlu and a private helicopter to Lukla the very next morning due to my already annotated trip.My guide, Bisho, was enthusiastic, friendly, and was proficient in English. He did everything in his power to ensure I was able to accomplish my goal of completing the EBC+High pass trek in 8 days; and simultaneously, have an enjoyable and memorable trip. He ensured he pointed out all the notable peaks during our week of clear skies, as well as the history and significance of Sherpa culture and Buddhist traditions. Although I pre-medicated with Diamox, I felt some signs of altitude sickness one evening in Lobuche due to our lack of acclimatization days. On that evening, Bisho played cards with me, offered to give me a head massage, and sang a beautiful Nepalese song. He was up-beat, thoughtful, and calm throughout the tripif you have the option to choose a guide, I would strongly recommend you ask for Bisho as he will not disappoint! My porter, Jit, was similarly wonderful and ensured he kept up with our ambitious pace. He acted as an assistant guide and helped out with ordering meals and ensured that I was well-taken care of. In summary, the operator was an absolute gem amongst the 100s of tour coordinators offering the EBC +/- high passes trek. They have earned my highest recommendation, and I would highly recommend them to my family and friends!

Amazing, tough but rewarding adventure

Tshering guided us safely through the Himalayas for 3 weeks. He helped us acclimatize and pace ourselves, and was extremely knowledgeable as we traveled through the Himalayas.

Excellent Trip of Everest

from the beginning we had nice communication with the Owner Rajendra lamcihhane . He picked us up from the airport and explained in details what we can expect on the trek. Our Guide Sapta was excellent and gave us enough flexibility. I am again planning to visit Nepal to do another adventure and will definitely book with these Guys.

Breathtaking EBC + 3 passes

The view in the trek is absolutely breathtaking and incomparable. For 3 passes, 16 days is not too slow or too tight, very balanced. I particularly like the acclimatization days in Chukung and Gokyo, easy trekking days and also getting away from the crowd to EBC. If there is room to improve on itinerary, i wish there is one more night in Thame, considering its so beautiful and famous as the home for well-known mountaineers. It serves as quite a relaxing place after completing 3 passes. My guide Bishwa, hes absolutely professional, reliable, and well equipped with the knowledge of mountains compared to the other guides on the way I saw. Even other guides need to ask him the name of mountains. He is also very caring, without his help I couldnt have passed Kumbu Glaciers. He also helped to fix my shoes and treated my allergy to the sunshine. I am very grateful for him and can only highly recommend him to you if you are planning the trip in Everest region.

Tough but wonderful

I did the trek late November to early December. Wonderful clear blue sky all but 2 days. It was however starting to get real cold in the end. The trail up to EBC was still a bit busy, but the other part was almost empty! I walked without a porter, definitely doable but the day crossing the passes are very tough.

An Amazing Adventure

I greatly enjoyed my adventure in the Khumbu region. The tour operator took care of all of the details of my 3 Passes trek. My guide Sange was awesome. He was an amazing coach when the going got hard and was good company as I was on my own most of the trip. I could tell that he wanted me to succeed and get the most out of my adventure. While the EBC trail was pretty crowded in October, the 3 passes were amazing. We went counterclockwise, which I would recommend. My only other advice would be that the first pass (Kongma La) is the hardest and not to lose heart. The subsequent passes are more beautiful and go quicker. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company and my guide and porter (Sange and Dave) to anyone considering a trip.

Everest Base Camp - 3 Passes Trek

The Three Passes Trek is the ultimate tour of the Everest region. It was my first trek at altitude, and I was a little concerned about attempting this route, but I am so happy I did it. The Three Passes Trek takes you off the beaten path (read crowded trail) of the straight up and down EBC route, and provides all of the highlights of the region, both in terms of stunning mountain views and the local culture. We completed our clockwise circuit (Renjo Pass, Cho La Pass, and Kongma La Pass) in 17 days, and probably could have accomplished everything in about 15 days, however it was important to have some buffer space to acclimatize and rest. Be prepared for cold weather and snow - we had about a foot of fresh snow going over the Cho La Pass, which created a beautiful scenery along with an extra hard push to the top. Also, expect to spend time in Lukla after your trek is done as flight delays are the norm. It is definitely a much more challenging route, but the rewards are absolutely worth the effort!

Wonderful Himalayan Experience with Green Valley

The 3 Passes Trek was an awesome adventure. Over 16 days we experienced great views and charming mountain villages. We are glad we got off the busier route with so many people just doing the EBC trek, but still glad to have gone too to check it off the bucket list. Each of the three passes provided a unique view of the Himalayas, and while often challenging - worth every step. Some of our favourite moments were standing on top of the highest pass, Kongma La, overlooking the partially frozen lake and the walk over a glacier to get to Cho La pass.

EBC - 3 Passes

This is a fantastic trek. We have fairly good weather all the way up (started in early September). Hiking at altitude is difficult but it is made worthwhile by beautiful views, and people you meet along the trail. I made it to base camp, however was unable to continue to the 3 passes due to altitude sickness. As a result we descended from Base Camp. Despite this, I still had an incredible time; I would definitely recommend this trek. I also met a stray dog in Namche with really blue eyes. Not sure why, but this was a highlight. See attached photo.

EBC trekking with (or without) 3 Passes trek

We had a very good, enjoyable, incredible trekking with this travel agency. Our quide Keshar Mani Raj was and still is very professional, took very good care from customers, excellent company and flexible in situation that changes. We had also porter named Dambar his a great guy. We had a little problem during our trekking like missing luggages by flight company, symptoms of alttitude signess and diarrhea but everything solved.

Excellent High Passes Trek

This local tour company organized an awesome trip for me to do the Three High Passes trek in Everest region. Unfortunately, I had to come down early due to altitude sickness, but the company was with me every step of the way. The owner Raj met me at the hospital and helped smooth over things so that I could get discharged as soon as possible. I had no intention of spending the night in the hospital while on holiday. He even picked up my medical records for me later in the week since I had moved on to Pokhara. Highly recommended trek!

3 PASSES TREK - TOP EXPERIENCE

The trek is amazing: you get to see all the best spots in the region.. and you've got also the time to enjoy it with the people who live, work or just trek there. The views from Cho La, Renjo La and Gokyo Ri are amongst the ones you'll never forget. Raj (owner of Green Valey) has just organized for me the best trip and my guide Tshering was very professional and friendly. I definitely recommend organising your trip with them.

Just WOW

My tour company hooked me up with a great guide, with whom I had the pleasure to do the Three Passes trek for 17 days. We ended up doing it a little bit faster, this is the benefit if you can decide upon the itinerary day to day. The guide was knowledgable, warm, funny, proficient in English and just allround helpful and supportive. As for the trek, well I can let the pictures you can find on internet speak for itself. If you are fit enough I cannot recommend this highly enough over 'just' Basecamp; the passes really stand on their own in terms of experience.
