day 1 - Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla & trek to Phakding

Enjoy a short but breathtaking flight from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu to Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla this morning. In case the day is clear, you will get the chance to enjoy amazing views of terraced hills and the distant Himalayas during your flight.

Have lunch after landing in Lukla and start your trek. It takes around three hours to reach Phakding (2,610m), the final destination of the day.

day 2 - Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Continue your journey from Phakding. Hike for around five hours along the banks of the Dudh Kosi river, through groves of pine and oak trees, and cross this majestic river via suspension bridges festooned with prayer flags.

See breathtaking views of Namche Bazaar (3,440m), the gateway to the Everest region and the unofficial Sherpa capital, en route to your final destination. Namche is a colorful village with modern amenities, shops and cafes. In addition to all this, it also offers stunning views of the Himalayas.
