day 1 - Kathmandu arrival

Upon landing in Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received by our representative and driven to your hotel. You are free for the rest of the day. There will be a welcome dinner hosted by Alpine Club of Himalaya in the evening. Enjoy delicious, authentic Nepalese dishes. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

day 2 - Kathmandu city tour

Leave your hotel after breakfast for a full-day, guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the epicentre of religious and cultural life in the city and an area filled with old temples of historical significance.

Afterwards, visit Swayambhunath, the famous stupa perched on top of a hill in the west of the city that is said to be one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world. Proceed to the Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This massive temple complex sits on the banks of the Bagmati River. Only Hindus are allowed to enter into the temple premises, whereas tourists can see the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River.

Your last destination today is Boudhanath, a Buddhist stupa said to be one of the largest in the world. This massive structure stands tall with four pairs of eyes each facing the four cardinal directions. Enjoy your welcome dinner in the evening.

day 3 - Kathmandu - Lukla (flight) & trek to Phakding
