The islands were amazing! On my favourite day I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast on the island of Brac. I enjoyed the fabulous pool and had a delicious Greek salad there. I swam in the sea. I loved going paddle boarding. I walked to dinner and ate a fantastic seafood dinner under a canopy of grapes with my fellow travelers. In the dreamy moonlight I walked into the town and had some delicious gelato and strolled back along the lit walkway. The leader talked and laughed and made us feel so at home.
Weather was extremely hot and removed 2 of the hikes. Relief to Me but not all of the group. We got a sunset cruise instead which was brilliant. Put that on the itinerary anyway. It meant we had more downtime than expected but I enjoyed the break. Some felt cheated. I knew it would have been too hard for us but those fitter and keener still wanted to do more. It’s a bit of a balance but I loved all of it.
Terrific trip which got better and better. Tour leader was same but appeared a little uncommunicative at first when announcing necessary changes to the itinerary
Two nights in Split would have been a better option, Bol was ok but not much to see apart from the beach. Would have been better to have an extra night in Korcula with a guided walk in the old town. Dubrovnik was too crowded but that was expected. Our tour leader Dario was excellent!
The itinerary was wonderful. The islands were beautiful and most of the hotels had a swimming pool and were conveniently located near the Adriatic Sea. The Cora Hotel in Split was a half hour walk from the old town and not conveniently located. Brac and Korcula were particularly lovely. Lunch in the olive grove on Korcula was delicious and magical. It was nice to have the wine tasting and tour of the winery and cellar near Dubrovnik. I also enjoyed biking riding and swimming in the lakes on Mijet. I liked the variety of activities available in the discovery tour, however, there was more hiking than anticipated 5-7 miles, 5 out of the 7 days. There was a mix-up about my transfers but were ultimately resolved. I would have appreciated a phone call or text when I did not see the email about transfers.
Tour guide although willing and helpful was let down by his lack of information from his office On one occasion our hotel was changed without notice 2hours before arrival. Again not the tour guides fault. The information from him did not flow naturally and often had to research some basic information. For the premium we paid for an Explore holiday I don’t think we received the level of service we would expect and a cheaper self planned holiday would have been just as enjoyable
Goran was a good mix of informative and fun . The weather was very hot so stopped us doing some of the proposed activities.
Had a great time doing the island hop tour, the group really made it that extra special. Majority of the hotels were in great locations. The visit to the local farm was a huge highlight, the food was just delicious there. Definitely pack water shoes as all the beaches are rocky, like actual rocks that can be quite sharp, not just pebbly. And unfortunately all the walks are done in the middle of the day, so definitely bring a good sized water bottle
A great way to explore the Croatian coast. Had a great guide who helped make everything easy and fu. The itinerary was a good mix of walking, history, activities and free time.
Excellent way to experience this beautiful country. 10 days would be better to fully appreciate everything.
I believe the accommodation could be more central. The hotel in Split was expensive but dreadful location.
