Once it got going, the tour of Ronda, Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Nerja and Marbella was OK. The hotels were comfortable, and the guide (a Dutch expat fairly fluent in Spanish) was very personable, but little in-depth information was provided on most of the sites, and for a group almost exclusively English, a native English (and preferably fellow British) speaker is really needed. It would have helped the cohesion of the group if at least a get-to-know-you meeting had been arranged on the first evening. The biggest gripe, though, is the presentation of this trip as eight days, when in fact it is five: the first "day" is the one that one arrives (independently) at the first hotel; the last "day" is the morning when we all disperse, and the penultimate day is really just a day of self-entertainment in Marbella (the guide parted with us the evening before).
Excellent itinerary, included lunches were wonderfully authentic. We swam in the Mediterranean but it can be quite cold. The guided tours were excellent, too. Tip: verify ahead of time, the open hours of the non included sites such as the Seville Alcazar and the Cordoba Alcazaba. You can book a tour sperately to Ronda or Morocco on the last, free day.
The team was really good with all the questions. Guide and Hotels good Value for money. Great local experiences.
The tour was really interesting, an easy way to discover Andalusia. Granada is awesome and Cordoba is small but full of charm. Will definitely come back !!! Thanks to Daniel, he was a wonderful guide; helpful, skilled and knowledgeable! Would love to come back soon
The tour was fantastic! It was more then we expected! Here is the itinerary day by day: Day 1 - Pick-up from airport, check-in at Sol Principe before 12pm (which is absolutely appreciated), one buffet meal (we took dinner), free time to enjoy in pool or on the beach (amazing beach and shoreline). Day 2 - Start the tour, visit a farm, test few uncommon fruits and enjoy with Juanito (buy their stuff, wine, fig bread, etc. as is the cheapest place to find them), visit some monastery, accommodation in Seville. Go and visit Plaza de Espana in that evening... amazing place. Day 3 - Guided tour in Seville and Alcazar. Book in advance a Flamenco show for that night, but no later then 7-7:30pm, as you will miss the dinner at hotel which is open until 10:00pm. Day 4 - Visit Cordoba and the Mosque-Cathedral (totally amazing), accommodation in Granada. Day 5 - Tour in Granada, visit Alhambra, lunch and free time. Book in advance tickets to Nasrid Palace which is not included in the tour (only Alhambra), but only after 4:30pm, as can be a problem with arriving from lunch. Day 6 - Visit an olive factory (buy olive oil here as is really cheap and authentic), take lunch in a village (thank you for this amazing experience) and get back to hotel in Torremolinos. Day 7 - Free time in Torremolinos. Schedule a trip in advance (do not wait to do it during the tour) to Ronda or Gibraltar or Caminito del Rey. If nothing reserved in advance, then visit Malaga or spend the time in the pool or on the beach. Day 8 - Check-out at 12pm Additional Pros: - transportation from and to airport is included and arranged by the agency - 7 full buffet breakfast, 7 full buffet dinners, 3 lunches - everything was planned proper and places were amazing. - Michel, the guide, is an amazing person - "Be good Michel" Cons: - Only for dinners, no water included/available even if tap water (unless you have your bottle with you). You have to pay for any water or coffee. -No optional trips or activities provided by agency for the free time, 1/2 day in Seville (we had a flamenco show.. Michel was able to book in a different place for some people), 1/2 day in Granada (we had entry to palace booked 3 months in advance), 1 day in Torremolinos (we checked for a day trip during the tour but nothing available; we visited Malaga ) -In the first day, instead of the monastery I will consider a visit in Ronda. A big thanks to all people in our group (15 people from Canada, Australia, England, Scotland, Ireland) and to Michel!!! The tour it was amazing!
Excellent , we recomend to everybody .
Guide was great and most of the city guides were passionate and entertaining! Learned a lot about the great cities in Andalucia!
My wife and I enjoyed the tour tremendously. It was our first time in Spain and Andalusia and the tour was the best way to start our one month of travelling in Spain. Michel and the driver were very professional, friendly and informed. The only hotel that we felt wasnt our style was the Torremolinos Sol Pricipe. The hotel was too big, too busy, and noisy for people our age. Otherwise we enjoyed the tour locations, time line and cities.
Everything was very well organized. The seperate expert guides at three of the most important site were extremely knowledgeable. Nice small group of 12. Everyone got along great. Sufficient free time. Great hotels. I'd recommend it.
