About Naresh

Write a review
Born in England, my global upbringing has fostered a profound love for exploration and a keen eye for the world’s beauty. Rather than following a conventional path back to the UK, I chose to dedicate myself to the promotion of Nepal's rich tapestry of tours and treks. My intimate knowledge of the country extends far beyond the well-trodden paths, having conquered over 15 trekking routes, from the iconic Everest Base Camp to the elusive Kanchenjunga Base Camp and many uncharted trails in between. This intimate familiarity with the diverse landscapes and cultures of Nepal sets me apart in the industry. My expertise is not confined solely to the trails. As a volunteer teacher in numerous government schools across Nepal, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education in shaping young minds. This on-ground experience has led me to explore all 52 districts of Nepal, immersing myself in the local nuances and understanding the pulse of the nation like few others. For me, travel isn't a superficial engagement; it's a conduit to dive into the heart of a place, understanding its people, its culture and its essence.

Naresh's Best Travel Experience

September 2, 2023, will forever be etched in my memory. Landing in Lukla, I was prepared for disappointment, fully convinced that the weather would thwart our plans. But then, a call from Ramkrishna, my tour operator, changed everything. In a whirlwind of activity, I found myself boarding a flight to Lukla, my Everest Base Camp Trek unexpectedly commencing. The tales of Lukla's perilous runway were put to rest; it was an adventure in itself, yet surprisingly safe. Trekking with Nic and Michelle, a wonderful couple from Singapore, brought unexpected camaraderie. Our paces differed, but it only deepened our bonds. The banter, the moments of tiredness, and the laughs defined our journey from Lukla to Phakding. The following day, en route to Namche Bazaar, I resisted the urge to forge ahead and instead savored the slower pace. Our conversations flowed, transforming the trek into an enriching experience. In Namche, the Irish Pub became a backdrop for laughter and shared tales. Nic's love for food and Michelle's gentle ribbing formed the soundtrack of our days. Their companionship enriched the trek beyond measure. The mountains, however, remained elusive. September, with its lingering monsoon, veiled the peaks in mist. A fleeting glimpse of Mount Everest on the way to Kyangjuma was my only glimpse of its grandeur. My usual solo endeavors took a back seat on this journey. Bonds forged with fellow trekkers, particularly a group from Choose a Challenge, sparked lively conversations about the UK, Nepal and our global adventures. Notorious moments peppered the trek. Pranking Michelle with a Barhasinghe Beer in place of Guinness drew laughs. A mischievous flirtation with a girl in Lobuche was swiftly rebuffed, wisdom prevailing over impulse. This Everest Base Camp Trek defied my expectations. It was more than a trek; it was an immersion into the heart of the Himalayas, a blend of shared laughter, breathtaking landscapes, and unexpected connections. As I pen this, I know there are countless more stories waiting to be told. Until then, the mountains hold their secrets, waiting for the next adventure.
