About Krishna Bdr

Write a review
I was born in Khatri Gaun, Nepal, and spent my early years in my village until I moved to Kathmandu in 1998 to pursue further education. There, I completed a Bachelor's degree in Humanities, specializing in Culture and Tourism. My career in the tourism industry, especially trekking, began in 2001 as a trekking porter and office assistant. I gained valuable experience working as a porter for 3+ years, leading to a role as an assistant guide. I then spent 13 years as a lead guide, traversing the breathtaking Himalayas of Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan. In 2017, I took a significant step and established my own company, which I own and operate today, providing excellent service to tourists visiting both easily accessible areas and remote wilderness. This venture allows me to share my passion for the alluring Himalayas and my extensive knowledge of the region with adventurers from around the world. I've had the opportunity to visit several countries, including Tibet, China, India, Hong Kong, Japan, and various countries in Europe. These experiences have broadened my horizon and perspective, enhancing my ability to connect with groups of travelers from different geographical and cultural backgrounds.

Krishna Bdr's Expertise

I specialize in trekking and exploring mountain regions, but I also offer many different kinds of trip packages in Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan. These include easy cultural tours and city visits to tough mountain climbs. My background, combined with my hands-on experience in the Himalayas, has equipped me with a deep understanding of the region's culture, geography, and the intricacies of mountain tourism and adventure tourism. At my company, we create unique, personalized trips for every traveler. Whether you're new to hiking or an experienced climber, we design adventures that match your goals while keeping you safe and connected to nature and local culture.

Best Travel Experience

In the winter of 2006, I had the incredible responsibility of guiding a family with three children, aged 3, 7, and 9, on the Annapurna Circuit, specifically crossing the Thorong La Pass. This trek is known for its difficulty, but winter conditions made it exceptionally challenging. The heavy snowfall and an unexpected snowstorm added to the complexity of the journey. Typically, the trek from High Camp to Muktinath takes about 7-8 hours, but due to the severe weather conditions, it took us about 16 hours to complete! The conditions were harsh, the water completely frozen, and visibility reduced by the storm. My primary concern was ensuring the safety of the family, particularly the young children, as we navigated the treacherous path. Despite the extreme difficulties, I managed to cross the pass safely, and everyone arrived at Muktinath without any incidents. Reflecting on this trek, I consider it one of the most exciting and unforgettable experiences of my guiding career. The combination of the severe weather, the challenging terrain, and the responsibility of guiding a family through such conditions made it a truly remarkable and memorable adventure.

Why is Krishna Bdr the right travel expert?

I grew up in a remote village of Dhading district, so I really understand the local way of life and the land of rural Nepal. Now I run an adventure company in Kathmandu. My journey from a small remote village to owning an adventure company in Kathmandu has taught me a lot about tourism in Nepal. I studied Culture and Tourism in college, which adds to what I've learned from actually doing the job. I've worked as a porter, guide, and now company owner, so I know how to plan and run treks from start to finish. I've also traveled to many places like Tibet, China, India, Hong Kong, Japan, and parts of Europe. This helps me understand people from different countries and make sure their trips are just what they're looking for. I really enjoy showing people how beautiful the Himalayas are. I know a lot about this area, and I've traveled to many places. This helps me create trips that are more exciting than usual tours. If you want to trek to the foot of the Himalayas, explore ancient monasteries, climb mountain peaks, or anything in between, I'm here to turn your dreams into amazing, real-life adventures.
