We did the EBC trek with this local tour operator, I couldn't recommend them more to anyone wishing to partake in any of their trips. The trip was absolutely phenomenal, everything was planned and carried out brilliantly to ensure the whole expedition ran smoothly. Gokul was very supportive, helpful and informative throughout, as well as welcoming us on our arrival into Kathmandu. Our Guide Ram was excellent making sure that we were well throughout and was very knowledgeable of the surroundings which he pointed out to us along the way. We had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Thank you Gokul, Ram and the whole team!!
More than a simple trip, our fifteen days in Nepal and Tibet were an unforgettable experience and a wonderful discovery. A very big thank you goes to this local tour operator and its Managing Director, Mr. Kaum Bahadur Subedi, who provided us with expert drivers (absolutely essential on the roads of Nepal) and guides with great expertise and experience. I want to especially mention Rem Raj Gurung who introduced us to the wonderful temples of Kathmandu, now all restored after the 2015 earthquake. A very useful exercise for me also who had visited those temples in the past. Even more exciting was traveling across the Tibetan plateau. We entered from the border with Nepal - which in itself is an adventure - and we traveled the long way that leads to Lasha, crossing a powerful and unforgettable landscape. Along the plateau we had the Himalayas on the right with its snowy peaks (we also went to admire the north face of Everest with a half-day detour) and on the left another long chain of mountains that outlined a landscape that is hard to find the words to describe. And then the unforgettable discovery for me, thanks to the guide that Mr Kaum made available to us for Tibet, a profound expert on the religiosity of the Tibetans. The discovery of a people who still live in a deep connection with their past and traditions: in religion, in clothing, in language. But I also found a genuine willingness towards foreigners. And we were among the few Westerners to visit the country. We also have a beautiful memory of Lasha, a modern city that lives with a past whose strength still seems very alive.
Exceeded expectations. For the price point of this trip, I was shocked at what it delivered. But again, it was the guides that REALLY made it. For example, I was watching a parade from the hilltop monastery. Narayan saw me and suggested we go down to the street to be closer. I was delighted and agreed. Once I got down there, the people in the parade asked me to join!!! So I joined in the parade and had a wonderful time that was a trip highlight for me. But that would not have happened without Narayan's encouragement. He gently encouraged so many incredible experiences on the trip. I just can't praise him highly enough!
Nepal is a gorgeous country with the nicest people. The trip was a combination of culture and nature at a great "vacation" pace. You would be missing out if you skipped this trip.
I did the EBC & Kala Pathar trek with Nepal Climbing team in Oct-23, I wanted to write in a review about my experience with this travel and expedition company. I had been planning to go to EBC for a few years now and finally it all came together in 2023, i was going through a lot of blogs, websites and youtube videos before deciding on the operator for this trip. Thats when this company was referred by a friend who did the EBC trek in the past. Right from the first communication with Krishna Subedi, the team was very professional, patient in answering myriad of questions i had about the trip. Krishna gave a call and walked me through the itinerary, cost and the preparation that i need to do to be able to experience a nice trek. Even though i had spoken with Krishna a few times, I was still skeptical prior to the trip worried about arrangements and the over all planning around the trip. But as soon as i landed in Kathmandu, I was escorted from the airport and was absolutely taken care of throughout the entire duration of the trip. The hotel arrangements in Thamel was very good, the crew also guided and helped me around the Thamel markets to get some of the hiking gears. Krishna introduced me to the guide, who spoke good English and Hindi. And then the trip started, the arrangements were perfect, we were fortunate on the weather part, no delays in getting to Lukla and then onwards we were able to follow the itinerary - all the villages and tea houses we stayed. The hotel and arrangements were top class. Clean and hygienic tea houses were provided. The guide Neema Sherpa was very knowledgeable, courteous and very friendly. He answered all the questions i had, spent a lot of time clicking pictures and videos and he was a very good friend through out the journey. And after the return to Kathmandu, again the stay provided by the company was really good and a hospitable place with nice food. My entire experience due to these professional arrangements was very smooth. Over all i had a fantastic trekking experience through the help of the guide Neema and the team led by Krishna, i would highly recommend any one to engage Krishna and team for a terrific trekking experience.
Challenging but an incredible journey. Highly recommend poles especially for the way down but there are so many ups and downs so might as well use throughout. Incredible scenery and changes daily. Bring earplugs as walls in all lodges are paper thin. Beanie great for the cold. Take it slowly and soak up the nature, village life and surroundings. An unforgettable experience. Go half way to Kalla Patter to still get incredible views
