Trekking in Langtang valley is often called “the valley of glacial masses trekking “. Langtang is a beautiful place - one where you get to see mesmerising snow-topped mountains covered on stunning sheets of ice. Dominated by Mount Langtang Lirung (7246 m) and located at a distance of just 19 miles to the north of Kathmandu, this valley offers pine woodland forests, serene mountain streams, lush green slopes and an overall enjoyable experience.

The Manaslu Valley Trek is a remote and spectacular trek with steep tracks and beautiful views throughout the trek.
It is culturally fascinating with strong links to Tibet in the upper Buri Gandaki (called Nupri ‘the western mountains’) and the Tsum Valley, and even includes the Larkya La (5106 m) as a challenge. The views of Mt Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain in the world, are marvelous and spellbinding.
The trek around Manaslu can be done more conveniently these days because there are several lodges available all along the route. There are even phone and mobile access in some parts of the trekking trail. Nearly every village now has a proper lodge. You can certainly find porridge, tsampa, noodles, omelette and roti at most places. While simple, they are clean for the most part. There are also small shops in most villages along the way with limited stocks of soap, toilet paper, batteries, bottled water, biscuits, noodles, beer, whisky etc.

Best trek yet! If you’re after creature comforts this isn’t for you; if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and explore the beautiful Annapurna range, meet locals, see some awesome-inspiring scenery, stay in rustic, basic accommodation but have some of the heartiest, tastiest meals and best hospitality ever, whilst taking on a challenging yet deeply rewarding trek, this is for you. Su, our tour leader, was exceptional, nothing was too much bother and he became the 11th member of our group. The crew and guides were fantastic, setting an achievable pace that meant we could chat as we walked or just enjoy the quiet as we took on a section of steeper steps, it all meant we were well-acclimatised for altitude and hardly had any effects whatsoever. Every day was different so there was never a dull moment and always something new to see - we even saw monkeys! The days spent in Kathmandu and Pokhara to top and tail the trip were the perfect intros and downtime to show two very different sides of Nepalese life. The food was fantastic - light, flavourful and satisfying. Have the momos and Dal Baht - you won’t regret it! Going during Nepalese Diwali (Tihar), made the experience even more magical to be honest. Fully recommend going then to get that added cultural experience as well! Just couldn’t have had a better two weeks away in the mountains (with a bit of culture thrown in) if I tried!

My wife and I completed the Annapurna Circuit plus Tilicho Lake guided by Ramesh and portered by Ramo and the experience was perfect. Ramesh is truly the best guide in the world. Not only is he an encyclopedia and loved sharing information with us while trekking, he was smart, strategic, and patient all throughout the trip. He actively used his experience to guide us on the trek, making changes that would better our chances of crossing the pass and visiting Tilicho lake in the best way possible, which I appreciated. Ramesh is also very friendly and warm, which truly helped, as our experience literally felt like a perfect intertwine between a guided tour and a trek, which we greatly appreciated. To be able to do this at altitude with a variety of personalities, all while being patient must be respected. And I cannot and will not forget our porter Ramo: thank you so much for moving so quickly and efficiently (with our items on your back), better enabling us to lock in certain rooms at various tea houses to help ensure my wife and I rested comfortably throughout the trek. This was a truly amazing adventure, Bhutan is a magical place with wondrous scenery and architecture. The people are warm and welcoming and the sights and sounds of the festivals was incredible with the bright costumes, colours and music. The whole trip was well organised and our tour leader was fantastic and so knowledgeable. I knew Bhutan was going to be good but this trip exceeded my expectations, I can’t wait to return.

It was a very full on itinerary, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately due to the heavy traffic we spent a lot of time on the bus. Our tour guide reminded us that this is India, became known as TII. My highlight was definitely the Taj Mahal, however every city we visited had a highlight. Our tour guide was very helpful, professional and diplomatic. A smile on his face at all times. Can thoroughly recommend.
