Too many very long walks and extremely long talks in the very hot weather. Didn't need to go into so much detail about each temple. just kept on walking at times and did not consider some of the elderly people. Too much time spent at jewellery and carpet places which are very expensive, high pressure, sales. Not enough general shopping time for ourselves. Everyone commented that we should have name tags and at the end no properly organized group photo was taken; just a very rushed disorganized one at the Taj Mahal (don't know if everyone got in it). The hotels were all great and the train trip was a great experience. 5 Tigers was the absolute highlight for me. We were so, so very lucky. When we broke down on the freeway, they all handled the situation expertly. Already thinking where to go next year. Cheers
Trafalgar does an awesome job of visiting key sites, providing locals experiences and exposing you to the toughside of India. When you complete your journey you feel like you've been exposed to the "real" India. I don't know of any other tour company that does this & I'm not sure every traveler is up to this approach but I treasured the experience.
An awesome tour. Our guide, added an amazing level to the experience by telling stories about what we were about to see. His knowledge was astounding. Him and the team also managed all the logistics so well. Trip of a lifetime!
The itinerary was fantastic and exceeded all my expectations. Our travel director was so informative, had a great sense of humour and was a fabulous guide. His wealth knowledge without a pause or stutter was invaluable ... Ahbi made our trip. All locations were amazing, loved the Taj Mahal and the Tigers. Accommodation was a hit and miss, and could be greatly improved on. Overall a great tour and India and the people was and is beautiful. I just loved it .... thank you Trafalgar
Went in April. It was hot but few other tourists that made getting in and seeing attractions easier. Tour guide great. The Indian people very gracious and helpful. The Taj Mahal ethereal and spectacular. We were told only 30% of people see tigers and we saw 6! We had good Karma. The Ganges is to be experienced. Practical stuff; bottled water was provided, and I didn’t have to use 1 squat toilet. Bring TP and wipes. Do not leave airport lobby until ready to leave. They will not let you back in!
