Jordan is a fantastic location. Strongly recommended for the variety of cultural and historical visits, the fabulous scenery and the range of interesting and unique activities. The Roman town of Jerash was the highlight, closely followed by Petra. Our local guide, Saleh, was so very knowledgeable and friendly. We felt completely safe. We covered so much in our week. Excellent value.

Patrick was wonderful and so knowledgeable! We enjoyed this tour immensely and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the Christmas Markets!! We just wished that we had 1 more night in Vienna, there is so much to see and do there.

Paolo was amazing especially when one of the girls had her passport taken from her safe in her room-he helped her get what she could get done and then she went to Florence with us -- walking tours were a little long but all was good

John Phillipe Rosse was probably the best part of the trip because he made it fun, informative and stressfree. He went above and beyond. Each of the city guides were equally helpful in learning things about where we were. Hotels were fantastic. Bus driver, Lukasz was superb. Dining was better than expected. Grandior Hotel had super tiny linens and beds was the only disappointment but the hotel was lovely. I am amazed how you can put together such a fabulous trip at such an affordable price. Would go again and will recommend Collette. One thing we did learn was that Collette is only as good as the person who is the original point of input. 2 others on our trip, along with us didn't have any of our frequent flyer Elite status input (but was provided more than once) and we were not told about British Airways seating policy which requires you to PURCHASE a seat, even if booked in first class or you might pay for first class and end up in economy or not even board the plane at all because they always oversell. It wasn't until a couple of days prior to departure that we realized there were no seats for us and British had no info on us. So seats that should have been free with our first class ticket purchase and Elite status, ended up costing almost $1000. But, we made it.

Peacocks elephants and street dogs

We went there in December, just after the country suffered severe cyclone and flooding. Very nice hotels, plenty of food (maybe too much), and well looked after by the team. Nice relaxing pace of cycling. Plenty of interesting places to see on the way. We made a Youtube video to share our experience: https://youtu.be/N06BHdyCL00?si=VRTgl8lFxGbMP4uA

Had advance info to help us prepare for trip. Also had a day to explore on our own, though on foot. Since it was just prior to Christmas, so much we saw was decorated brightly and merrily. Hotels were well located and offered varied foods for breakfast and sometimes dinner. People providing services were friendly. The itinerary was outstanding, though poor weather meant we had to skip a visit to a glacier. Of course, we must compliment our tour manager and bus driver. With exception of the sights, they were so important to helping this trip to be a memorable one for us. The weather was the one facet that, since it could not be controlled, that caused some challenges: Walking in the wind; ability to safely get over a pass, thus leaving Vic earlier than planned; and prompting the northern lights to be elusive. We can are glad we made this trip and have been wondering about returning in the future during late spring or summer.
