I did the ABC Trek in December 2019. Was an amazing experience and the trek was stunningly beautiful. My guide Deepen had a great knowledge of the mountains and was very attentive to my needs. He had a good understanding of what different clients are capable of after watching them on day 1 and then made sure the trek was suitably challenging but not out of their comfort zone. I always felt that safety was a priority and when extreme bad weather came in when only a few hours from our ABC destination, I was comfortable with the decision not to risk it. No one went up the mountain that day. The trek was fun, heaps to see, lots of people to meet along the way and Deepen always discussed the plan for the following day the night before, so I felt engaged and knew what to expect. Overall a great trip, would highly recommend but make sure you take some very warm clothes if travelling in winter. I'm thinking myself of planning another trek.

At Machhapuchhre Base Camp and finally Annapurna Base Camp, you’ll be surrounded by a 360-degree panorama of towering Himalayan giants. The trip’s finale includes a detour to Poonhill for legendary sunrise views over Dhaulagiri and Annapurna.

day 1Drive to Pokhara.

Early morning after breakfast at Kathmandu, we will travel to Pokhara viaby bus through Prithvi Highway. The scenic bus ride will be around 6-7 hours long. We can see western Himalayas, on our way. Beautiful but tad tiring bus ride to the beautiful valley of Pokhara, it is our gateway to the mountains. We can explore around this beautiful lake city in the evening or go for boating in the grand Phewa Lake. We will spend the night at the hotel in Pokhara.

day 3Trek to Ghorepani (2,840m)

day 4Hike up to Poonhill for sunrise and trek to Tadapani.

day 5Trek to Sinuwa (2,340m).

day 6Trek to Himalaya hotel (2,900m).
