day 1 - Arrive in Kathmandu

You will be welcomed by an amazing view of The Himalayas as you approach Kathmandu. At the airport, you greeted by a representative of Alpine Club of Himalaya.

In the evening, enjoy an excellent, authentic Nepalese dinner to get yourself acquainted with the local cuisine and culture. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

day 2 - Fly to Pokhara; trek to Ghandruk

In the morning, we take a flight to Pokhara, the Lake City. The right side of the plane will offer the best views of The Himalayas.

An Alpine Club of Himalaya representative will pick-you up at the airport and drive you to Nayapul (1 hour and 20 mins) drive to Nayapul on the main road near Birethanti. Your trek starts here.

Walk to Ghandruk for the night, a beautiful village mostly inhabited by the Gurung community. If time permits, you can visit the Gurung museum.

day 3 - Ghandruk to Chhomrong

We climb uphill for about an hour to Kimrungdanda,. On the way, enjoy great views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhre) and Ganggapurna. Then we make a steep descent to the Kimrong Khola.

After another steep ascent to Chere Danda, we descend to a gentle walk to Chhomrong. The village lies on the lap of the giant Annapurna. Overnight in Chhomrong.

day 4 - Chhomrong to Bamboo

We descend 2,500 stone steps and cross a bridge above Chhomrong Khola. From here it is an uphill climb to Sinuwa. Next, we pass through a beautiful forest to Kuldihar followed by an easy downhill walk to Bamboo.

day 5 - Bamboo to Deurali

We trek through a damp and cold bamboo forest before ascending steadily through several steep sections. Upon reaching Himalaya Hotel, the forest opens up to an astounding view of a glacial river below.

Rake a steep climb up through a much drier forest before reaching Hinku Cave where the trail drops closer to the river before climbing again to Deurali, the most scenic stretch of the day. The vegetation is sparser here but allows for magical views of the valley, the river below and the sheer rock-face cliffs above with bands of wispy waterfalls.

day 6 - Deurali to ABC via MBC

We climb gently through a river bed, over a steep mountain-side trail and then make a somewhat strenuous hike from Bagar to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From the base camp, we get excellent views of the majestic Machhapuchhre along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna.

The vegetation becomes sparser hereafter and the path widens as we enter the Annapurna Sanctuary. From here, we get sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above us. The sanctuary boasts a dynamic, almost-360-degree panorama of the Annapurnas without any impediment– the highlight of the trek.

From the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), we again get to savor mesmerizing views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South , Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other peaks. Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.

day 7 - ABC to Bamboo

From the ABC, we retrace our steps downhill to Bamboo. Overnight in Bamboo.

day 8 - Bamboo to Jhinu Danda

From Bamboo, it is an uphill trek to Kuldighar followed by a downhill walk to Chhomrong Khola. Then we climb the stone steps to Chhomrong. The trail then descends to Jhinu Danda, where we will be resting for the night.

You can also take a 15-20 minute walk downhill to enjoy the local hot springs. Overnight in Jhinu Danda.

day 9 - Trek to Naya Pul; drive to Pokhara

We trek from Jhinu Danda to Nayapul while enjoying the amazing hilly landscape of western Nepal. From Nayapul, we drive to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

*If the road construction connecting Jhinu Danda to Nayapul is complete, we can skip the trek and drive from Jhinu Danda to Pokhara.

day 10 - Fly back to Kathmandu

We fly back to Kathmandu in the afternoon. In Kathmandu, you may spend the remaining day exploring more of the city. You can shop for souvenirs, lovely pashmina apparels or intricate artwork.

In the evening, enjoy a delicious farewell dinner with the team as you reminisce about your stunning trip to the Himalayas. Overnight in Kathmandu.

day 11 - End of the tour

Your trek across the Himalayas comes to an end. After your breakfast, a Alpine Club of Himalaya representative will transfer you to the airport as you bid farewell to Nepal.
