We recently completed the Manaslu trek. Beautiful scenery but lots of loose ground following the monsoon season. Our guide Rajendra Karki was superb throughout as was our porter Dunbar. A truly excellent guide and Porter!!
This trek was absolutely beautiful, winding up through Langtang valley you pass through small villages stopping at tea houses on the way up. At the top, you have a stunning panorama with snow-capped peaks rising all around - it really is breath-taking!
Our guide, Kul, was the best I have ever experienced and that's after having travelled fairly extensively. He was superbly attentive, extremely knowledgable (he'd summited Everest twice!) and just such a lovely, friendly guy - couldn't have asked for more!
Everything was organised seamlessly and we were generally very happy with food and accomodation.
Let me start off by saying that dealing with Nepal Eco Adventure was a breeze. Chhatra was professional, courteous, prompt, and very responsive! I was visiting Nepal for only six days and for such a short period of time, Chhatra was able to arrange domestic flights, a customized Everest View Hike, and full accommodations. He was also kind enough to set me up on a full tour of Kathmandu with an excellent guide!
I planning on going back for an EBC Base Camp trek and will definitely be calling Chhatra again.
As part of a group trek, I did the Everest Base Camp & 3 Passes (Kongma La, Cho La, Renjo La) trek with Nepal Eco Adventure this Apr 2016, spanning around 3 weeks. This was a challenging and strenuous high altitude trek with all 3 passes above 18,000 ft, EBC at 17,500 ft and Kala Patthar at 18,500 ft. Chhatra Karki, who runs Nepal Eco, carried out the entire planning and logistics for this trek. Chhatra is extremely knowledgeable about the routes on this trek and was very responsive, detailed, helpful and flexible right from the first interaction we had till much after completing the trek. The trek guides and porters he provided were strong & competent, had a focus on safety, were polite and helpful and most of them had prior experience trekking these routes. Boarding, lodging and food was excellent throughout the trek relative to the tea house facilities available on these routes. Chhatra’s information and advice around weather conditions, altitude sickness, safety, health, water & food aspects were very useful. Later during the trek as we improvised on the itinerary to save time, Chhatra responded flexibly (and patiently), at short notice, in re-booking flights, boarding & lodging to accommodate our changes. The trek in itself, for the most part, comprised of long 5-8 hour walks over 15000 ft, through steep inclines, snowy & icy paths, huge glaciers, moraine, scree and pretty cold conditions. These challenges, however, were well rewarded with magnificent views of the highest Himalayan ranges, stunning landscapes, mesmerizing alpine lakes, unique flora & fauna, serene monasteries, beautiful countryside, great food and lovely local people. All in all a truly memorable trek!
As regards areas for improvement, some of the trek guides could develop deeper knowledge about the culture and history of the local places and people on these routes that would add to enriching the overall experience. Kumar Jirel, one of the trekking guides, while competent, could develop a bit more empathy for client trekkers not as experienced. As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated in any way or work for Nepal Eco nor do I write too many reviews. But, that said, I would have no hesitation in trekking again with Nepal Eco and would recommend them for those looking to trek in Nepal.
Hiking the Manaslu Circuit & Tsum Valley with Nepal Eco Adventures worked out so so well. Our guides provided plenty of valuable knowledge about the areas we were travelling through and would always happily play translator when we wanted to talk to local villagers. Our porters were such a happy crew and always hunting for the next laugh. I had never previously done a guided trip like this and coming from NZ I am used to carrying my own pack so the idea felt strange. The reality though was great! Our guides and porters added so much invaluable character and insight to our experience that I couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you Chhatra, Keshab & the rest of the team. Best of luck for the future.
A lot of steps and climbing the first 2 days, 3rd day is the best and than again 2 days of descent. First day is not that interesting and can be skipped with jeep transport, as well as the last day. Go when rododendrons are blooming! Very beautifull! I did the trek with my 8 year old daughter and she was even more energetic as myself.
Last spring I did a 18 days trek in Sagarmatha National Park with my husband (30 years old) and my parents (58 and 65) - my best trekking experience ever! I highly recommend Nepal Eco Adventure and this trek, a beautiful and challenging one called the Three High Passes Trek. This was my second time in Nepal. The first time I was with another trekking company and Nepal Eco Adventure was definitely much better although the trek costed exactly the same price. Before the trek, Chhatra was very helpful and responsive, he gave us great advice to help us choose the trek and the equipment. Then he took care of everything very efficiently for us, including the trek permit and the hotel reservation in Kathmandu where he made sure we had the best rooms. The trek was wonderful, beautiful landscapes and people and excellent accomodation. Many of the owners of the lodges were good friends of our guide so there was also a nice and fun atmosphere. Our guide Rajesh was very friendly but also serious and responsible and he knew everything about the area. He spoke excellent English and some French too :) He told us a lot of interesting stories and we learned a lot about the Sherpa culture and Nepal in general thanks to him. Our porters, Man and Chhitra, were incredibly nice, friendly and helpful, they understood English well and we had an excellent time with them. Rajesh was very flexible and clever. When we arrived at EBC, my parents were very tired, they found the trek too challenging, had altitude sickness and didn't feel like crossing the remaining high passes. Instead of having the four of us go down together, Rajesh proposed an alternative that suited everyone: my parents went down with one of the porters while my husband and I continued and did the whole trek. The four of us were extremely pleased with our experience and if we come back to Nepal for a trek we will definitely choose Nepal Eco Adventure again.
My wife and I did the 13 day Everest Base Camp Trek in May 2016. It was definitely an incredible experience. Tall mountains, high passes, Sherpa culture, beautiful scenery....the list goes on.
The Everest base camp trek was a once in a lifetime experience! The trek itself is challenging but not as difficult as I was expecting. The views you have of the himalayas are breathtaking and make the stomach issues, altitude headaches and sleepless nights all worth it! Base camp itself is quite underwhelming but the feeling you get when you reach your destination is the best! I would highly recommend this trek!!
The trek of ten days was a little bit too strenuous for us, maybe due to our age (55 and 60 y). It would have been better to plan a resting day after 4 or 5 days trekking. The last two days to the ABC were risky because we had to descent for 1000 meters both days and that is in fact too much because of the risk of altitude disease. And indeed, one of us got ill in ABC and we had to go down immediately. And that was a pity.
The trek itself was beautiful and we enjoyed it very much. Maybe a little bit too much rain, but that's 'force majeure'.
amazing trip.. scenery, guides and porters all wonderful people.
you are in safe hands.
please note you will be expected to pay 150 USD in tips.. this is something mentioned in the meeting when you start your trip and then re-enforced by the guides on the trip.
my only suggestion is there should be one more day overnight at the top of the mountain as the day of the basecamp walk was incredibly long, followed by a 4am start to see kala patter - everyone in my group was totally wiped on these days..
I completed Everest Base Camp and Chola pass in April 2016. The whole trip was 19 days after 2 days in Kathmandu our group of 4 flew to Lukla and started to trek to EBC. There were no delays in airport and in about 2 hours from arrival to airport we were in Lukla.
The trek was a bit challenging as there were steep climbs. The trek was very scenic, but the path was tough. We stayed overnight at Phakding and then proceeded to Namche Bazaar, which is close to 3400 mts, we stayed there for 2 days for acclimatization then proceed further to Tengbouche, Dingbouche and stayed there for an acclimatization day, then we went to Lobuche and finally to Gorakshop ( closest tea house to EBC). Once we reached Gorakshop we had small snack and proceeded to EBC, it took us about 2 hrs once at EBC we took many pictures, spoke to some people, wondered around and started our walk back. Next morning we climbed Kalapattar that offers amazing view of surrounding mountains!!!! After our breakfast we started our way back to Lobuche and to Chole pass that took us several days. After Chola Pass we continued to reach Gokyo Ri and desended back to Namche (this took several days) and back to Lukla.
Annapurna Circuit is really wonderful. I really appreciate this region because of the diversity. I couldn't recommand more this region for first timer. Booking was easy!
The Three passes Trek is the choice to make if you want to live a full, deep, strong experience in the Everest Area.
You will cross passes and valleys where you can meet more yaks than tourists and still visit the most popular places like EBC.
We had a fantastic trek! Our guide Nir was amazing. He was a source of information, had a great sense of humour and did everything he could to make our trip the best possible experience. Our porter Suraj was also wonderful! Thankyou!
My cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day trek - a perfect sampling of the trekking experience.
An amazing trek through some of the world's most breathtaking scenery. We did the trek just before the crowds of high season, so it was a bit cold at night but nice and quiet on the trail during the day. Be prepared for some hard days walking and high-altitude breathlessness, but all is compensated by the epic scenery.
Nepal Eco Adventure were great support to take me through the trip of a lifetime in the Himalayas. At the office from the first contact well before I arrived in country they took care of all the details such as Trekking Passes so that I literally didn't have to worry about anything. Both on email and in person Chhatra was attentive and promptly answered all my questions so that I set off on my trip without any details to worry about, confident that everything would be covered and free to focus on enjoying the trip. On the trip my guide, Thakur, was great. With about 25 years experience guiding people throughout Nepal there was little he didn't know. He paced the trek ideally for my fitness level and was more than patient with my slow pace. He always knew the perfect spot for photos. The stops he picked for meals were well timed and the food was great. The accommodation every night was above what I would have expected for the area and he seemed to pick the best room for me in each location. Well respected by his many friends and colleagues, I would trek again with Thakur any time. In summary, Nepal Eco Adventure is the perfect way to get acquainted with Nepal and it's many wonders.
From the first e-mail to the drop off at the airport everything went nice and smooth. Chhatra from Nepal Eco Adventure answered my mails quickly and all the questions and changes I wanted to make were answered and attended to without any problems. The trek itself was an amazing experience. Had the pleasure of trekking with the guides Ram, Arun and Sudip and 5 other trekkers. Ram is extremely experienced and a really cool guy, Arun is young, helpful and awesome, while Sudip stayed more in the back and made sure everyone was keeping up. Will highly recommend all the guides and Nepal Eco Adventure. Will definitely be back for more treks in the future!
From my first E-mail exchange with Chhatra I knew that I was in good hands. He was very quick in replying to my many questions and was very flexible with my starting date. I soon found myself picking up my sleeping bag and trekking poles (which Nepal Eco Adventure were happy to let me borrow) from Chhatra's office, ready to start my trek to Everest Base Camp. My guide; Ram, was great! I would not have survived without him. He was quite knowledgeable about the trail and never became annoyed at my many questions, in particular 'which mountain is that?' and 'which one's Everest?' Ram always made sure I was feeling well before we began our trek each day and checked my oxygen saturation and pulse almost every night. During our trek Ram would let me walk in front so I could set the pace, I never felt like I was too slow or that I couldn't keep up. My overall experience with Nepal Eco Adventure was very positive. They were attentive in ensuring that both Ram and I were prepared for the trek. Highly Recommend!
Nepal Eco Adventure provided us a wonderful trek around Manaslu! The price was very reasonable and the service very good. We always felt save with our guide Narayan. It becomes clear that he has a lot of trekking experience. All the places were we ate and slept were carefully selected. I can highly recommend trekking with Nepal Eco Adventure!
They did a fantastic job. Happy with booking through bookmundi and happy with having chosen Nepal Eco Adventure as my trekking agency. Thanks.
From the first moment I made an inquiry on the trek I was impressed with the comprehensive emails from Chhatra (managing director), he made sure that all my questions were addressed and managed to send all the responses within a day (considering 6 hr time difference). Upon my arrival to Kathmandu Chhatra arranged airport pickup and personally met me even though it was 9 pm, he made sure that I safely checked in in the hotel. Both of the guides Chhatra provided me with have shown great level of professionalism and were really nice people themselves. Raju, who has shown me around Kathmandu, was not only very knowledgeable in terms of history but also had an awesome sense of humor which made the short tour quite a pleasant experience. Kumar, my guide for the trek, had a good level of English, and made sure that I had the best experience on the trek. He is a really caring guide and throughout 3 weeks treated me like his little sister. He shown a great level of flexibility as well. When I had an idea to opt out for Tilicho lake we worked on the alternative route to sqiz it in without affecting safety (we still had to accent slowly due to risk of AMS). As well we did all the possible side treks to avoid the road which made an experience even better. The lodges included in the package were quite good and offered wide variety of food. The views on trek were breathtaking and I really hope to come back soon to discover Everest region. Overall I highly recommend Nepal Eco Adventure as a company of great professionals and people.
We really enjoyed the Langtang trek and had an amazing time. We were a bit precarious first time booking a trek online before leaving for Nepal but the booking went so easy and the service was excellent. Despite having high expectations we could not have hoped for a better trip. Even when my friend hurt his knee the guide acted prudent and dealt with the situation as a true professional.
I really enjoyed the trek I did with Nepal Eco Adventure. Our group head to the beautiful Langtang Valley were we had an amazing time. During the journey up, our guide Babu, teach us how to play Dhumbal (Nepali card game). Everywhere we stopped, we were playing with the people of the village, porters and guides. It was really fun. Also, during the ascent to what was our highest altitude, I started to feel altitude sickness. Both our guide as other people in Kanyanjing Gompa were always checking if I was feeling OK. I totally recommend an Eco Adventure with this guys.
Simply the best experience of my life :) Amazing people and the best professionals ;)
I had a great experience with Nepal Eco Adventure. I came over to Nepal by myself, planning to do a trek to Everest Base Camp. I exchanged emails with a few highly-rated companies. Chhatra was very responsive and helpful. I met him in person in Kathmandu and knew I'd picked the right company. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go by myself with a guide or join a group. Chhatra explained all the options he could set up for me, and I ended up joining one of his groups that was leaving a few days later. It was quite the adventure and was a successful trip. Chhatra is also an expert on all things Nepal so he was able to give me a lot of advice about other things to do in Nepal.
My friend and I had time constraints and Nepal Eco Adventure were able to accommodate the dates whilst ensuring safety was not going to be an issue. We completed the trek very satisfactorily, even sooner than we had anticipated and had no altitude sickness issue whatsoever. We were very happy for the customized service and the professionalism and flexibility Nepal Eco Adventure staff showed. We used Nepal Eco Adventure recommended by friends and I would also recommend them. Regards.
Before going to Nepal we had no idea how to organize our trekking tour and I talked to several friends that had already been there. One of my friends highly recommended Nepal Eco Adventure and so we decided to choose this company. We contacted Chhatra the owner of Nepal Eco Adventure about two weeks before we started the trip. He was very helpful and immediately answered our emails. There are so many trekking companies in Kathmandu and it’s really good if you have one you can trust and that cares for you. We were able to borrow down jackets, sleeping bags and hiking poles so we didn’t need to buy them. Our guide and our porters were absolutely wonderful and kind! Ramesh our guide was extremely experienced and absolutely trustworthy. He always made sure we were fine and we had a great time with him. Ramesh spoke really good English and both the porters and Ramesh had good hiking shoes and equipment- we were pretty shocked to see that there are some porters from other companies only wearing flip-flops. We highly recommend Nepal Eco Adventure to everyone who is planning to go trekking in Nepal.
We had a fantastic experience trekking from jiri to Mt Everest (Kalapatar). We were a bit nervous about the situation after the Earthquake in april 2015 but we have felt very safe during all of the trek. This is also thanks to our guide from Nepal eco adventures which did an excellent job and were very well-know with the conditions in the mountains. He did his best at all time to make it a great experience and help us reach our goals. Nepal eco adventures have provided a very good service from the day we arrived in Kathmandu till after the end of our trek. Nepal eco adventures can highly be recommended as a choice of trekking Company.
Chhatra at Nepal Eco Adventures did an amazing job organizing a spectacular 24-day trek from Jiri to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo. Ram and Santosh, our trek guides, were fantastic and went out of their way to ensure we were safe and happy at all times. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately I was helicoptered off the base camp trek due to acute mountain sickness after 7 days but the attention given to me was a quick, efficient response to my needs at that time, it was brilliant. They contacted the helicopter very promptly. I was very glad of this.
Before that, the meet up on arrival at the airport was excellent and flower garlands placed around our necks was very welcoming. The whole group were thrilled by this and at the prospect of what to come next. I can, without a shadow of doubt, highly recommend this company and all who work for them.
From my first correspondence with Chhatra to my last goodbye at the airport all of the details that Nepal Eco Adventure took care of personally or arranged for me met or exceeded my expectations. The hotels, transportation, and guide services were all comfortable, dependable, and friendly. Chhatras timely ability to answer my questions and give recommendations to me, helped me immensely in planning my trip. I ended up doing the complete Annapurna Circuit with just myself and a guide, Pemba Sherpa. Pemba was always looking after my well being and his knowledge of the route allowed us to take alternate trails that meant we actually did little walking on the roads that some people feel are ruining the trekking experience. In my opinion the roads were not an issue. Besides his knowledge and guiding ability, Pemba is simply put, a great guy. He was my trekking companion and friend. We shared laughs and his ability to relate the history or significance of a region, people, shrine, custom, etc. enhanced my trip greatly. He could interpret for me if necessary and acted as my cultural liaison. The best reason I can think of for recommending Nepal Eco Adventure is that they made it easy for me to visit Nepal by taking care of the details and making sure everything went smoothly. Also, I should mention that I think the Annapurna Circuit is still a great trek. The diversity of terrain and cultural groups is stimulating and I must absolutely mention the mountains which fully live up to the true meaning of the often overused word, awesome.
This was my first trip to Nepal, alone, and I was thankful that it was with Nepal Eco Adventures. Firstly I would like to say that Chhatra (The Managing Director) is a very patient and understanding person who tirelessly attended to my numerous inquiry emails and the subsequent changes I had to make to the itinerary when my travelling companion pulled out. Arriving to Nepal alone and doubtful, I was thankful that he faithfully waited nearly 3 hours for me outside the airport, due to baggage delays, and was still very cheerful about it and pleased to meet me. I did a 27 day trip (ABC + EBC treks) and Chhatra customized the itinerary for me to minimize any unnecessary costs and allowed me to transit hassle-free and seamlessly between treks all the way to my return flight back to Singapore. When the earthquake slightly damaged the original hotel included in my package, he upgraded me to a better hotel without additional charge!
Trek-wise, my guide, Narayan Rai, had a very good command of English and was very friendly and caring, treating me like his little brother. He would go out of his way to explain to me facts about the mountains and villages along the way. He also plucked berries and various fruits from trees for me to eat and always tried to ensure that I got the best room in the guesthouse. In addition, he was totally flexible in changing the itinerary based on my needs and wants on any particular day and made my trip unique and memorable. Though I was alone for this whole period, but my needs and safety were always taken care of and I never felt lost or abandoned in any way.
So now that I am back safely and happily in Singapore, I would like to thank Nepal Eco Adventures for orchestrating such a pleasant experience for me I recommend that you try and speak with Chhatra should you ever think of coming to Nepal on vacation, you will not regret it.
Visited May 2015
I had a fantastic experience at Annapurna Circuit. It was an amazing feeling. Porter very good, but not the guide. Company is very good except the guide.
Great trekking outfit for going to EBC. We were there during the earthquake in April and they went above and beyond to make sure we got home safely.
Trekking with Nepal Eco Adventure was an amazing experience. From the very first meeting at the airport till the very end of our trip I felt safe and well looked after. Everything was arranged for our group and incredibly well planned. The guides were always very helpful and thanks to their friendly approach I didn't feel like just another customer. I would definitely recommend Nepal Eco Adventure to anyone who would like to discover Nepal in very welcoming yet exceptionally professional atmosphere.
It was the most amazing trek ever! I am satisfied with the services and the attentiveness of the staffs! Without them, we wouldn't survived the Earthquake! A million thanks again! I would recommend Nepal Eco Adventure to anyone who wish to go trekking in Nepal, and I guaranteed You won't be disappointed!
My daughter and I worked by email with Chhatra for several months to organize a back to back trek and safari. We were most impressed with his speedy, informative and helpful emails. We wondered if he ever slept as it seemed no matter what time we emailed him we had a prompt reply.
We were met the moment we exited airport customs and were very well taken care of every moment of the way by Chhatra and his team during our time. Our first nights were in a nice hotel within a short walking distance to Chhatra's office and we met Chhatra and our guide, Kumar, several times as we fine tuned our prep and plans for our Annapurna Panorama trek.
Kumar picked us up on the morning we set off for Pokhara and was by our side for our entire travels and trek, taking care of all arrangements for bus and taxi travel, hotel in Pokhara and for our trek including all meals and guesthouses. We found the hotel in Pokhara to be first rate and each of the guesthouses along the trek were very suitable to our needs. The menus at the guesthouses were pretty standard and offered a reasonable variety of hearty, home made and most often delicious food served in large portions. Personal favorites included Dal Bhat, mo-mo, the soups and awesome wood fired pizza.
Kumar was an excellent guide and his English served us well. He had a quiet disposition, a great sense of humor and was very knowledgeable, informative and professional. He kept a close eye on us and set a varied pace to match our speed that was never hurried, allowed for many photos and other stops and yet always got us to the next guesthouse in good time. It was very evident that our safety was always Kumar's first priority and his diligence and caution served us well when the first earthquake tremor and the many follow-ups occurred. Always under Kumar's watchful eye, we safely completed the last three days of the trek back to Pokhara.
The trek route itself was very enjoyable and not too taxing to a moderate level. The sunrise at Poon Hill on day three was so incredible as to make it all very worthwhile.
Because of the earthquake we were unable to complete the safari. When we arrived back in Kathmandu after completing the trek Chhatra was there to meet us and take us to a room he had secured at one of the few operating hotels in the Thamel District. He was constantly in touch by phone and in person with us over the next several days as we worked to secure new flights home. Whether it was 8 in the morning or 930 at night he was there for us and other of his clients who were at the same hotel. Despite the pressures that the earthquake must have brought him and his family, Chhatra provided my daughter and me with an incredible level of service and support during those challenging days for everyone.
From first contact to our goodbye, our experience with Chhatra and his team were first rate. Everything was as we expected and we found Chhatra to be very professional and trustworthy. We were left with no concerns or complaints whatsoever.
As Nepal and Chhatra and his team all recover from the earthquake tragedy, we would very much encourage people who are interested in any of his treks, safaris etc to contact Chhatra to plan future visits. I am confident that Chhatra will give an honest assessment of each region's recovery and guide you to a most enjoyable and memorable experience in beautiful Nepal. We will definitely return as soon as we can.
Been a first time traveller, I was a little worried by the magnitude of the adventure ahead. All thanks to this outstanding company and their employees from Chhatra the owner to all the guides and porters, Transportation staff and all of the Hotel, Lodge and service staffs which made my trip fantastic.
As soon as the planed landed I was met at the airport in Kathmandu by Chhatra with a huge smile a gift and transport to the evenings hotel were we went through all the itinerary ( which is extremely flexible throughout the trip and flexible on any given day).
The Trek, From the arrangements for the flight to start the trek to the meals, lodges and acclimatization days and on the day itinerary which was flexible and we had a meeting every evening to discuss the plans for the next day also to talk about the days events plus the health check.
Throughout the trek twice daily our oxygen stats where measured by experienced professional guides who are highly trained in the affects of Altitude Sickness and prevention of who all carry the measuring device what simply is applied to the finger it.
The company takes great care of your health and the acclimatization and professional staff are Fantastic. I know I and we built relations with the guides and porters in away that they where family/friends like. The overall trek was managed to perfection it was an experience of a life time and cant say in words the beauty of the Himalayas and Nepal I have already booked a trip back in October this year all I can say to anyone is GO its a must for all.
I can't say enough about Chhatra and his company. Just amazing from start to finish. The level of care and attention to detail was superb, we changed our itinerary and these guys just fixed everything with out any hassle.
I will be trekking again soon and Can't wait to see the team again. If you have a want to trek then give Chhatra a call... They treat you like family. I was part of a group of 13 and everyone feels the same. We did Everest , sight seeing in and around Kathmandu and then decided to go to Chitwan. Every day was well organised from accommodation, food and the planned route.
Thanks again, look forward to seeing you , Kumar, Santosh and Dukpa again soon
My dad and I (Canadian) were very happy with our selection of Nepal Eco Adventure Pvt. Ltd. for our Annapurna Panorama Trek! Chattra and his guides are professional, personable, and he genuinely goes out of his way to make sure you are safe and happy during your trip. Highly recommend this company.
We greatly enjoyed our trek, as well as our tour of Kathmandu. Our guide was very gregarious and knowledgeable, and both our guide and porter adapted well and without any complaints to our desire to visit both Gokyo Lakes and Kala Patthar, despite the closure of Cho La due to snow. We ended up hiking two extra days' worth of distance without increasing the total duration of our trek.
We all around loved our trek in the Everest region. Chaatra was there to greet us in Kathmandu and Ram and Thukpa were our guides for 12 days. Even though winter had not quite left the Himalayas when we were there (March 2015), everything went smoothly. We acclimatized slowly so we did not get altitude sickness and were healthy throughout the trek. Our guide Ram knew the region, trails, and teahouses well. He spoke English well and explained which peaks were which and answered all our questions. Thukpa, our porter, was strong and patient. He didn't even complain when we had to change routes (Cho-La pass was closed due to snow, but we still wanted to see both Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes. We appreciated the flexibility in our schedule, which allowed us to go faster when it made sense to. Overall, I would give Nepal Eco-Adventures and unreserved recommendation.
Everyone at Nepal Eco Adventure was amazing! I would highly recommend using them to anyone planning a trip to Nepal. This was my first trip and first trekking experience so I had a lot of questions and wasn't really sure how it all worked. Chhatra was so friendly, professional and helpful explaining everything before booking and even when we were in Nepal. Our guide Tshering was so kind and funny. He kept us safe and even helped us take some amazing photos/ videos along the way. We had an excellent time and the scenery was breathtaking. We couldn't go right up to base camp because of the storm that had came through but both Chhatra and Tshering helped us plan a detour up to Marti Himal High camp which was a really beautiful trek as well. We are actually already planning a return trip next year!
From the moment we arrived in Nepal we were made to feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble to arrange and all efficiently done with a taxi waiting exactly on time. Chhatra seems to work 24 hours a day to ensure things run smoothly. The weather was a little unseasonable this spring but the route was altered to keep us safe. Without a doubt when I visit Nepal again I will go through Nepal Eco Adventure.
Fantastic trip and excellent service. The company owner Chhatra was always available, quick to respond to queries and gave sound advice, has a genuine service attitude and is very friendly. I felt in very good hands.
My guide Shiva was extremely nice, helpful, and very knowledgable. I had a number of fellow Trekkers telling me that I seemed to have a lot of luck with my guide. One person said: I rather listen to your guide than mine. Another fellow trekker without a guide said: if I ever do another trek in Nepal I'll make sure I get Shiva as my guide.
The trek was fantastic and very well organised. The communication leading up to the trek and upon arrival in Kathmandu was extremely good. I highly recommend Nepal Eco Adventures to anyone wanting to experience trekking in Nepal.
Booking was super easy and Nepal Eco is a super professional company. I can fully recommend this setup.
Especially our guide shiva was very friendly. He knows nearly everything about the trek and Nepal. I will definitely come back and book again.
