Nepal Eco adventure helped me everything in this trip, Even if there isn't included in your program. My guide, Shiva and porter Prem served me everything i need and also included some kind thing i didn't ask for it.
Excellent communication and service. We will definitely be trekking again with Nepal Eco.
So professional and so well organized. I had to come down from my trek early and all the logistics were immediately taken care of, flights, hotels etc.
The only downsides were our guide and equipment. I borrowed poles, down jacket and down sleeping bag from Nepal Eco Adventures. The jacket and sleeping bag were amazing, but the poles were loose at all joints and therefore pretty useless. I had asked our guide to help set up my poles and rucksack on the first morning of the trek (assuming they were things he was familiar with), and both he did wrong, and were corrected by other trekkers.
He walked incredibly fast and was out of eyesight 90% of the time. I was the slowest walker in the group, and several times had to ask locals for directions as I had no idea which way he had gone. It also meant we couldn't ask questions about what we were seeing. Things like getting water/finding toilets/getting snacks just put us further behind him, as he had no idea we had even stopped. During a downhill rainforest section I fell several times trying to keep up, I was never injured, but he was always too far to know I had even fallen. On the plus side, on summit day he did offer to carry my toiletries and sleeping bag - taking a lot of my weight.
He also wasn't familiar with our itinerary. On the first two days we walked further than we needed to, as he didn't know we had a bus included in our tour for one section.
Chhatra (the company owner) was brilliant however. Both emailing before the trek, and in person in Kathmandu he was incredibly helpful,
I would definitely recommend the trek, but would be wary of trekking before meeting the guide again
We had a wonderful trek in December 2016 to Everest Base Camp & Kalapathar. The days were clear and the mountains brilliant. 12 Days in the Himalayas with our guide, Ram Karki, who could not have been more caring and informative. Nepal Eco Adventure made sure we stayed in the best teahouses along the route, with good food and our every need was catered for. Best of the best, highly recommended!
Nepal Eco Adventures ensured that everything was organised and we had zero stress or planning nightmares.
Our guide was phenomenal always ensuring that we were okay and well looked after.
His famous words "everything is possible"
We signed up with Nepal Eco Adventure trekking company for the Annapurna Circuit after reading positive reviews online. The managing director Chhatra was very prompt in email replies and was willing to entertain my endless waves of questions. Since we only had 10-12 days in Nepal, he managed to come up with a shortened AC itinerary for me without compromising safety in terms of acclimatization days and also made sure that i would still get the best trekking experience. We were very glad to have Narayan Rai to be our hiking guide as he have plenty of mountain experience and is properly equipped with the skills to deal with emergencies. We felt very safe and well taken care of despite the physically demanding itinerary. Along the way, he provided much entertainment with his jokes and he was very good with wild animals. We had Kumar as our porter and he was very friendly yet professional. He took over my girlfriend's backpack on top of the duffel bag. Total would have weighed at least 25kg but he had no complaints. Both Narayan and Kumar took great effort to ensure that our needs are taken care of . For example when we reached Thorung Phedi, i had no more strength in my legs and Narayan offered to carry my backpack for me when we were climbing up to High Camp. I really appreciated that.
Overall, we had a very good hiking experience and never regretted signing up with Nepal Eco Adventures. Highly Recommended!
Nepal Eco Adventure is a strong and very capable company built upon decades of experience and the great quality of their employees. When I go back, I'm calling Nepal Eco Adventure and asking for my last guide, Keshab
Nepal Eco Adventure is a very good company. Chaatra took care of me the moment I sent an inquiry in July of 2016 for my planned trip in Nov/Dec of 2016. He was very informative about the peak and the logistics as well as being very straight forward about additional opportunities about pricing if a larger group went.
After booking, he kept me and my friends in very good communication about our upcoming trek/climb. Upon arrival to Kathmandu, he appeared very organized by keeping files of our booking in separate folders which greatly impressed me. He informed me that we have a guide and everything was booked. Upon meeting our guide, Kul, I could tell that he was very honest and genuinely passionate about his profession which determined how well the company performed.
From beginning to end, despite some unscheduled changes like finishing 2 days early, the company was able to promptly make changes to domestic flights that allowed us to come back to Kathmandu early. We went during the off season which made it very diffficult to estimate the availability of some tea houses since they close during that time; however, our guide made sure to inform those people that we will need their hospitality during those specific dates a month prior. This showed very good organization for the guide as well as the company that employs him.
I already have plans on coming back to Nepal and going through Nepal Eco Adventure and Chaatra for future climbs/treks.
If your experience with them is even a portion of mine, then you will not regret using them for your next adventure in Nepal!
Nepal Eco adventure was very professional and had everything so organized. They handled everything so well and my trip went smoothly and as planned. I highly recommend them and will certainly use them on my next trip.
Excelent level of service
I am very happy with Nepal Eco Adventure. Chhatra (the manager) was very helpful from the first email contacts, when I was still trying to figure it how to organize everything. And during the trek, Narayan Rai (my guide) proved to be a great mountain guide, very strong, someone you can always rely on, who kept me safe, very knowledgeable about the mountains, valleys, etc., and a good friend. Hakim the porter was also very supportive, super strong, and always in a good mood. I'm very happy overall, would repeat with them again any time.
Having booked an 18 day trek I was told about a week before I was due to go that it had been reduced to 15 days - even though the company accepted another person on the trek two months before the start date. Because of this I was unable to go up Poom Hill which was a disappointment
I completed the Annapurna base camp trek with Nepal Eco adventure and had the best time of my life. I would do it all over again the exact same way. Chhatra was incredibly helpful from the first email till I went to the airport, everything was run so smoothly and my plans changed a bit when I got there but Chhatra organized everything so smoothly. The trek was an incredible adventure, our guide Arun Karki was amazing and his knowledge of the mountains, English and service levels were amazing. Every need was catered for and each day ran smoothly and was well organized in advance. Our oxygen levels and heart rate were tested each night and he was constantly keeping an eye on us to make sure we were ok. We had many laughs during the trip, at the end you will definitely feel like a little family!
The food was a lot better than I imagined and the variety and amount was great. The accommodation was also a lot better than I imagined with showers and wifi etc. we could tell Arun didn't take us to the common popular places but secret nice ones just a 5 minute extra walk usually and well worth it as the standard was great!
Nepal eco adventure supplied me with a great jacket and they also have walking poles and sleeping bags on offer and some t shirts and hats. My shoes broke quite early and the guide let me use his while he walked in his sneakers for it. We really were well looked after.
I cannot recommend Nepal Eco Adventure more, everything was perfect and they made my holiday outstanding and so relaxing. I will definitely be back to do more hiiing and I sure will be going with you! All the best in the future and thank you for making my nepal experience such a good one !
Chhatra has been helpful and generous. Even after the trek, he extended his assistance whenever we requested and without hesitation he always went the extra mile to ensure I had a pleasant experience. Thumbs up for his professionalism!
Chhatra and Co. are fantastic to work with. We had a lot of questions, and even ended up having to completely change the dates of our tour. Chhatra always responded quickly and clearly, and was flexible and easy-going with us. Their office is well located in Thamel and the equipment we rented was of (mostly) top quality and worked out easily on the trip. Excellent overall experience!
I had an amazing experience with Nepal Eco Adventure. Chhatra was very responsive and answered all my questions prior to the start of the trek. Nikhil, my guide, was highly knowledgeable, attentive, and patient to answer all my questions while we were on the trek. Kamal, my porter, had no issues hauling my stuff.
They had been an excellent host and even helped in to plan my trip to Chitwan for my spare days after trek. Excellent job guys..!!
Everything was perfectly organized and the tour was exactly what was promised, even some extra days in Pokhara since we were ahead of schedule. Very friendly and experienced staff/guides/porter. Only four stars because it was not written, that you have to pay extra for a jeep to the starting point if the bus is not running and the topic with the tips was pushed too much by the guide.
We recently completed the Manaslu trek. Beautiful scenery but lots of loose ground following the monsoon season. Our guide Rajendra Karki was superb throughout as was our porter Dunbar. A truly excellent guide and Porter!!
Great company, not a single complaint, would definitely recommend and i will be back!
Chhatra was excellent - we had some unusual travel arrangements and he was very accomodating allowing us to change dates at the last minute. Would definitely recommend using his company!
As part of a group trek, I did the Everest Base Camp & 3 Passes (Kongma La, Cho La, Renjo La) trek with Nepal Eco Adventure this Apr 2016, spanning around 3 weeks. This was a challenging and strenuous high altitude trek with all 3 passes above 18,000 ft, EBC at 17,500 ft and Kala Patthar at 18,500 ft. Chhatra Karki, who runs Nepal Eco, carried out the entire planning and logistics for this trek. Chhatra is extremely knowledgeable about the routes on this trek and was very responsive, detailed, helpful and flexible right from the first interaction we had till much after completing the trek. The trek guides and porters he provided were strong & competent, had a focus on safety, were polite and helpful and most of them had prior experience trekking these routes. Boarding, lodging and food was excellent throughout the trek relative to the tea house facilities available on these routes. Chhatra’s information and advice around weather conditions, altitude sickness, safety, health, water & food aspects were very useful. Later during the trek as we improvised on the itinerary to save time, Chhatra responded flexibly (and patiently), at short notice, in re-booking flights, boarding & lodging to accommodate our changes. The trek in itself, for the most part, comprised of long 5-8 hour walks over 15000 ft, through steep inclines, snowy & icy paths, huge glaciers, moraine, scree and pretty cold conditions. These challenges, however, were well rewarded with magnificent views of the highest Himalayan ranges, stunning landscapes, mesmerizing alpine lakes, unique flora & fauna, serene monasteries, beautiful countryside, great food and lovely local people. All in all a truly memorable trek!
As regards areas for improvement, some of the trek guides could develop deeper knowledge about the culture and history of the local places and people on these routes that would add to enriching the overall experience. Kumar Jirel, one of the trekking guides, while competent, could develop a bit more empathy for client trekkers not as experienced. As a disclaimer, I am not affiliated in any way or work for Nepal Eco nor do I write too many reviews. But, that said, I would have no hesitation in trekking again with Nepal Eco and would recommend them for those looking to trek in Nepal.
Hiking the Manaslu Circuit & Tsum Valley with Nepal Eco Adventures worked out so so well. Our guides provided plenty of valuable knowledge about the areas we were travelling through and would always happily play translator when we wanted to talk to local villagers. Our porters were such a happy crew and always hunting for the next laugh. I had never previously done a guided trip like this and coming from NZ I am used to carrying my own pack so the idea felt strange. The reality though was great! Our guides and porters added so much invaluable character and insight to our experience that I couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you Chhatra, Keshab & the rest of the team. Best of luck for the future.
Very good communication and flexibility before the trip. Experienced agent. Professional guide.
Nepal Eco Adventure is an excellent agency, we had a wonderful and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend them!
Nepal Eco Adventures is truly an amazing company. At first we were a bit hesitant about this experience, but Chhatra was always quick to answer our questions and very patient with us. He made us feel comfortable and confident of achieving our goal. We met many other tourists on our trek, and I can honestly say our arrangement was by far the best. Our guide and porter was always friendly and courteous, but I cannot say the same about other guides. There were nights where I heard other tourists and their guides arguing and fighting. It's definitely important to find the right company to arrange the trek.
Nepal Eco Adventure definitely made the trip! Everything is organised for you without making you feel like you are on an organised trip! Our guides Nir and Arun were really experienced and you always felt like you were in good hands. I had an upset stomach and Nir gave me medicine and great advice to help me get better as soon as possible. Nir and Arun led us at a good pace so we didn't burn out on the huge uphill climbs and could keep going the whole day. Nir and Arun were great company on the trip!
The only thing I would say was that Arun's English was sometimes difficult to understand and I didn't understand some of the evening briefings for the next day, however this was a very minor thing and didn't effect my enjoyment of the trip. Overall Nepal Eco Adventure were amazing!
We are very satisfied with the supplier of the trek. The guide and the porter,Ram and Pakas, were nice guys, very helpful en very professional. The manager of the office was also very helpful during the introduction before the trek. We can certainly recommend this organization.
chhatra and the guides are wonderful accommodating people. they gave us sleeping bags, jackets and poles to use for free..
I received great service for Nepal Eco Adventure. Before signing up with them I did research and read their reviews and they delivered exactly what they promised. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My emails with several question before departure were answered within few minutes. Once in Nepal we were introduced to our guide who explaining how the trip will go and what to expect. Throughout the trip the guide provided interesting information about places we were seeing, he was also attentive to our physical condition and state.
I have recommended Nepal Eco Adventure to all my friends and I would recommend to anyone who is considering visiting Nepal and trekking!!!
Also I would like to say thank you to all staff from Nepal Eco Adventure!!!!
I did the Annapurna Circuit in Ferbuary this year. Chhatra was really really helpful and he could really well advise me on the different trek he could offer. The company is really well organised, professional and each question I asked was answered under 10 hours, that's awesome ! I felt until, the end of the trek, really confident. My guide, Kumar, had a lot of knowledge about this region. He was really easygoing and kind. A big plus about the company is that they check your oxygen each morning and evening, which greatly improved my confidence about crossing Thorung-La pass.
Nepal is a wonderful country but both Kumar and Chhatra made this trip really incredible !
I couldn't recommand more the company and my guide if you plan to trek in Nepal. For sure when I come back I'll book with them !
Nepal Eco Adventure took very care of me, from the moment I landed in Nepal to the the time I Left it. A full care, before, during and after the trekking. During the Three passes trek, the guides were very sensitive, professional, helpful and fun. they put all their effort to made me accomplished the trekking
This was a really organized and professional company. Chattra answered all my questions and e-mails immediately and everything ran smoothly and easily. I would not hesitate to use this company again and to recommend it to anyone!!
Highly recommend Nepal Eco Adventure - and highly recommend arranging for a porter as well as a guide. Chhatra karki was very helpful from our first and subsequent e-mail inquiries. He answered all of our questions in a very timely fashion. We came home very happy with our trekking experience in Nepal.
Chhatra's Nepal Eco Adventure was the perfect company to book this trek through. Everything is included and sorted out by Chhatra and your guide so you can just enjoy the trek - flights, permits, accommodation, transfers, equipment, food, guide, etc. I was warmly greeted at the airport and everything ran like clockwork throughout my time in Nepal. Chhatra is a passionate and kind man that aims please his clients at every opportunity. Chhatra paired me with another Trekker who I got on great with and this greatly enhanced the experience. With the vast numbers companies offering a similar itinerary, I would definitely recommend booking with Nepal Eco Adventures as they offer a high quality and personalised experience at a competitive price.
Nepal Eco Adventure were great support to take me through the trip of a lifetime in the Himalayas. At the office from the first contact well before I arrived in country they took care of all the details such as Trekking Passes so that I literally didn't have to worry about anything. Both on email and in person Chhatra was attentive and promptly answered all my questions so that I set off on my trip without any details to worry about, confident that everything would be covered and free to focus on enjoying the trip. On the trip my guide, Thakur, was great. With about 25 years experience guiding people throughout Nepal there was little he didn't know. He paced the trek ideally for my fitness level and was more than patient with my slow pace. He always knew the perfect spot for photos. The stops he picked for meals were well timed and the food was great. The accommodation every night was above what I would have expected for the area and he seemed to pick the best room for me in each location. Well respected by his many friends and colleagues, I would trek again with Thakur any time. In summary, Nepal Eco Adventure is the perfect way to get acquainted with Nepal and it's many wonders.
From the first e-mail to the drop off at the airport everything went nice and smooth. Chhatra from Nepal Eco Adventure answered my mails quickly and all the questions and changes I wanted to make were answered and attended to without any problems. The trek itself was an amazing experience. Had the pleasure of trekking with the guides Ram, Arun and Sudip and 5 other trekkers. Ram is extremely experienced and a really cool guy, Arun is young, helpful and awesome, while Sudip stayed more in the back and made sure everyone was keeping up. Will highly recommend all the guides and Nepal Eco Adventure. Will definitely be back for more treks in the future!
From my first E-mail exchange with Chhatra I knew that I was in good hands. He was very quick in replying to my many questions and was very flexible with my starting date. I soon found myself picking up my sleeping bag and trekking poles (which Nepal Eco Adventure were happy to let me borrow) from Chhatra's office, ready to start my trek to Everest Base Camp. My guide; Ram, was great! I would not have survived without him. He was quite knowledgeable about the trail and never became annoyed at my many questions, in particular 'which mountain is that?' and 'which one's Everest?' Ram always made sure I was feeling well before we began our trek each day and checked my oxygen saturation and pulse almost every night. During our trek Ram would let me walk in front so I could set the pace, I never felt like I was too slow or that I couldn't keep up. My overall experience with Nepal Eco Adventure was very positive. They were attentive in ensuring that both Ram and I were prepared for the trek. Highly Recommend!
Nepal Eco Adventure provided us a wonderful trek around Manaslu! The price was very reasonable and the service very good. We always felt save with our guide Narayan. It becomes clear that he has a lot of trekking experience. All the places were we ate and slept were carefully selected. I can highly recommend trekking with Nepal Eco Adventure!
They did a fantastic job. Happy with booking through bookmundi and happy with having chosen Nepal Eco Adventure as my trekking agency. Thanks.
From the first moment I made an inquiry on the trek I was impressed with the comprehensive emails from Chhatra (managing director), he made sure that all my questions were addressed and managed to send all the responses within a day (considering 6 hr time difference). Upon my arrival to Kathmandu Chhatra arranged airport pickup and personally met me even though it was 9 pm, he made sure that I safely checked in in the hotel. Both of the guides Chhatra provided me with have shown great level of professionalism and were really nice people themselves. Raju, who has shown me around Kathmandu, was not only very knowledgeable in terms of history but also had an awesome sense of humor which made the short tour quite a pleasant experience. Kumar, my guide for the trek, had a good level of English, and made sure that I had the best experience on the trek. He is a really caring guide and throughout 3 weeks treated me like his little sister. He shown a great level of flexibility as well. When I had an idea to opt out for Tilicho lake we worked on the alternative route to sqiz it in without affecting safety (we still had to accent slowly due to risk of AMS). As well we did all the possible side treks to avoid the road which made an experience even better. The lodges included in the package were quite good and offered wide variety of food. The views on trek were breathtaking and I really hope to come back soon to discover Everest region. Overall I highly recommend Nepal Eco Adventure as a company of great professionals and people.
We really enjoyed the Langtang trek and had an amazing time. We were a bit precarious first time booking a trek online before leaving for Nepal but the booking went so easy and the service was excellent. Despite having high expectations we could not have hoped for a better trip. Even when my friend hurt his knee the guide acted prudent and dealt with the situation as a true professional.
I really enjoyed the trek I did with Nepal Eco Adventure. Our group head to the beautiful Langtang Valley were we had an amazing time. During the journey up, our guide Babu, teach us how to play Dhumbal (Nepali card game). Everywhere we stopped, we were playing with the people of the village, porters and guides. It was really fun. Also, during the ascent to what was our highest altitude, I started to feel altitude sickness. Both our guide as other people in Kanyanjing Gompa were always checking if I was feeling OK. I totally recommend an Eco Adventure with this guys.
