Begin with a dramatic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, then trek through legendary Sherpa villages, cross alpine rivers, and marvel at the sheer scale of Everest and Lhotse. day 1 - Kathmandu to Lukla (flight), trek to Phakding

Our trek starts today! We pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and head to the domestic airport for our flight to Lukla, which takes us about 35 minutes. On arrival, you will be thrilled with the views of the mountains and warmly greeted by Sherpa people.

The trek starts from Lukla with a 2-hour acclimatization and tea/snack stop, followed by a downhill stroll to the Dudh Koshi River, passing through the Sherpa villages of Chhupulung, and Ghat, until we reach Phakding. The trail offers some majestic and alluring views of mountains and beautiful landscapes where you will see Tibetan words carved in rocks and multi-color Buddhist flags are hanging around the mani walls.

day 2 - Phakding to Namche Bazzar

After breakfast, we trek through the lush pine forest crossing the Dudkosi River. Here, we’ll get an amazing first view of Mount Everest, Kusum kangaroo, Thamserku, Kangtega, etc, and start a slow and steep climb to Namche Bazar.

Namche Bazaar is the capital of the Khumbu region and is also well known as a trading center. it’s a town with a set in an arena with seeing beautiful mountains surrounding the town. In the afternoon go to the market area to explore.

day 3 - Namche Bazar: acclimatization day

Before moving further towards Tengboche, we’ll spend a day at Namche Bazar exploring around and acclimatizing. Go on a short excursion to Syangboche Airstrip or Everest View Hotel from where you can see stunning views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Thamserku, etc. Likewise, you also visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery.

day 4 - Namche Bazzar to Tengboche Monastery

Today we trek along the highway of Everest, a section of the trek that includes the famous descent to the Dudh-Koshi River and the equally famous ascent along with the rhododendron forests through the Phunki Thanga, across the Imja Khola river, and up to Tengboche monastery.

Upon reaching Tengboche, we’ll visit the monastery; this is one of the most vital and spititual Buddhist monasteries in the Khumbu region. We can also see views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks, etc, overnight in Tengboche.

day 5 - Tengboche to Dingboche

Today’s trail ascends and crosses many suspension bridges as we trek through small settlement areas like Pangboche and Orsho, and move towards Dingboche. On the way, you come across many stupas, chortens, and mani walls. Dingboche welcomes you with tempting views of Everest and surrounding peaks.

day 6 - Dingboche: acclimatization

Today, you will take a day's break and adjust your body to the elevation. Hike to Nagarjun Hill, from where you can see wonderful views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Thamserku, Pumori, etc. Later, descend back to the village and spend time interacting with the locals.

day 7 - Dingboche to Lobuche

Leaving Dingboche behind, gradually ascend through small villages. As you move further, the terrain changes from lush forests to sparsely dotted shrubs. The trail takes you to Lobuche villages situated at the foot of Mt. Lobuche. You can see a stunning view of Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Pumori, and Mt. Khumbutse from this village.

day 8 - Lobuche, Gorak Shep, Everest Base Camp, Gorak Shep

Today, you wake up early in the morning and begin trekking towards Everest Base Camp. The trail passes through Gorka Shep, which is the last human settlement area on the trail. This place was the initial base camp of Mt. Everest. From Gorak Shep onwards, the trail moves along Khumbu glacier moraine and leads you to EBC. Upon reaching the base camp, you will find yourself surrounded by snow-capped Himalayan mountains. After spending some time at the Everest Base Camp, you descend to Gorak Shep for a night's stay.

day 9 - Kala Patthar to Loboche

To add more adventure to the journey, hike up to the Kala Patthar today. It is a very famous viewpoint from where you can see 360-degree views of Everest. Located just above the EBC, the trail to Kala Patthar is steep and rugged. See a glorious sunrise from the top of the Kala Patthar. After soaking up the mesmerizing views, gradually descend following the same path and reach Pheriche.

day 10 - Lobuche to Namche Bazzar

After having breakfast, trek through dense forests and small villages. Following the Imja River, you reach Tengboche and descend to Phungki Thanka. The trail then drops down to Namche through lush forests. On the way, you get to see amazing views of the Himalayan mountains.

day 11 - Namche Bazzar to Lukla

Retrace your path and head towards Lukla. From Namche Bazar, the trail descends through dense forests, crossing numerous streams. On the way, you pass by many small villages. You reach Phakding and ascend to Lukla.

day 12 - Lukla to Kathmandu by flight

This is the last day of the trek! We'll have another thrilling flight back to Kathmandu, and upon reaching the airport, head back to your hotel. In the evening, if you wish, say goodbye to everyone over a farewell dinner.
