Fantastic trip in Vietnam!

This was a really incredible trip! From North to South you get to see the ins-and-outs of this beautiful country, the beautiful sights, the friendly people and the tasty food! I feel that it was the perfect duration for the locations visited - I didn't feel rushed on any days but also don't feel that we were roaming around aimlessly at any point! Just an action packed trip from start to finish and one that I would definitely recommend to anyone who is thinking about going for it... you won't regret it!

If the Everest Base Camp is on your bucket list, or you're just looking for the next adventure, I cant recommend World Expeditions and their amazing Team high enough. Everyone in our tour made it to the EBC without any issues. Our Main Guide, Roy, made sure we were OK, informed us each evening what was coming up the next day and could bust a guitar out of nowhere and entertain us. Look, Anil and Myla also kept the pace steady for 14 days of trekking as well as dishing up great meals and bring us black tea and washing water each morning. The amazing Team of Porters got our kit to the days final destination and always with a smile. If you have one shot at the EBC and you want to go with a company that genuinely looks after their people, the locals and the environment, good news, you found them!

Perhaps more testing than we were led to expect but a wonderful experience that we wouldn’t have missed. Full marks to Pepijn who was leader, mentor, guide and encouraging for us all. And for his tips and knowledge that allowed us to sample so much of Japan’s unbelievable food. But top marks also for the way he gave us context for all of the different elements of topography, history and culture. Walking parts of the Nakasendo Trail and later, the forests aroundDorogawa were especially memorable. We were also very well served during our visits t the major cities - Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. We really appreciated being with a wonderful group of people- fellow adventurers all who made our tour so memorable. Thank you World Expeditions.

Our Annapurna Chitwan experience was fantastic. Our guide Yangjin was really amazing, so kind and thoughtful and she was very organised and accommodating to our needs. Tula, Kamal, their support team and the porters were wonderful. The food was varied and plentiful and pretty tasty. Kamala was a great cook. Don’t be fooled that this hike is ‘easy’, it is quite challenging in parts but the trekking crew is very supportive and observant to your needs. Lots of water breaks and tea/ lunch breaks well timed.

I would HIGHLY recommend World Expeditions. I have done a few treks now with other companies. WE was, by far, the best. They were professional, organized, and so on top of everything. Our guide Kinzang was absolutely wonderful and truly seemed to enjoy showing us his country, customs, and the mountains we trekked. Moreover, one of our trekkers fell ill (mountain sickness and stomach issues), and Kinzang was incredibly professional. He immediately noticed the trekker's symtpoms and was very thoughtful in handling the situation. High praise for our guide, the porters and chef, and WE. What a fantastic company! I will use them again.

Fortnight of fun

The Pekoe Trail offers wonderful walking through these historic tea plantations and because it is relatively newly opened up we often had the whole trail to ourselves. As a solo traveller, I was so lucky to be part of a large, energetic and hugely fun group of people. We enjoyed a mix of authentic rural life and a taste of some of the old colonial buildings from the past. Accommodation ranged from simple homestays to historic hotels.
