Asia Countryside village visits Trips

Exotic Java and Bali trip was an excellent trip, a nice mix of busy cities and quiet villages as well as traditional culture, wildlife and downtime. Hadi is an excellent guide with deep understanding and care for your travelling experiences and desire to avoid the crowds. He has built strong relationships with hotel, restaurant staff and local guides which makes the experience of travelling even better.

A lovely holiday with a good variety of activities. We were able to explore the different cultures of Java and Bali - the crafts, the history, the wildlife, the countryside and the food. The hotel accomodation was good, and the food was plentiful and good value. (Cheaper than I expected) I particularly enjoyed the visit to Mount Bromo volcano, the tour of Kalibaru spice plantation and the Balinese dancing at Ubud. Our tour leader, Ihsan, was excellent. He was efficient, helpful, enthusiastic and also friendly and chatty.

This was a wonderful tour of Japan, saw many places, the highlights for me were Mt. Fuji on a clear crisp day and the awe inspiring city of Hiroshima. The dinners and food were good, except for one the hotels were excellent, the ones in Tokyo & Osaka were outstanding. The bullet trains were amazing. We had a great varied group and as a single traveler I was able to join two great couples from California, one from Maryland, one from Nevada and the great contingent from New Jersey. My main criticism of the trip is that after about 10 days I was all shrined and templed out and would have instead like to have seen something cultural to Japan like sumo wrestling or a Geisha show even as an optional. Our tour guide was nice and helpful but her English was not too good and older people like myself with hearing loss many times had trouble understanding her. Also a daily itinerary with times, locations for us to photograph with our phones would have been helpful. All in all a great trip.

I am still in the afterglow of my trip to Japan. It was busy but enough free time to not be overwhelmed. Scenically it was great. A bit of cultural music and dance in the itinerary would have been nice even if it was as optional experience.

I had the time of my life on my recent contiki trip to Japan. The group made the trip so much enjoyable. My trip manager was very knowledgeable and was such a vibe we enjoyed him very much. The places we went to was so pretty. The special stays were a once in a lifetime. With the Buddhist temple stay and the traditional home stay. However the last 2 days felt wasted due to us traveling from Kyoto to Osaka to Koyasan back to Osaka. Other than that the trip was amazing The itinerary was good the partying was fun and all the activities and FTAddons were great too. Thanks Contiki for such an amazing trip

Japan, just WOW!!! What an amazing country, the dense populated cities of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka you get a real sense of the hustle and bustle. Japans beauty cannot be matched by Mount Fuji, beautiful UNESCO world heritage sites such as Miyajima - Hiroshima. Beautiful architecture and cherry blossoms really set the part in the history and beauty of Japan. Contiki Japan Unrivalled really gives you this exposure to the very best of Japan! A full on packed trip you will explore a lot of Japan. Only downside was limited time in Mount Fuji, Kyoto and Osaka. This is my 5th trip with Contiki and every trip is just perfect!! Highly recommend
