I am a passionate foodie and a devoted ocean-lover, and I have always been drawn to laid-back tropical coastlines. Wide ocean views, soft sand, warm and welcoming locals, ripe tropical fruit and seafood pulled from the water that morning — they never fail to win me over. Add affordable everyday prices and low travel costs, and these coastal places become the kind of paradise I never tire of exploring. There is endless charm hidden in unfamiliar countries. Every street, every local custom, every regional snack feels brand new. I love discovering things I haven't seen before and making friends with people from completely different backgrounds — that, more than anything, is why I travel. I have carried out extensive on-site inspections and field trips across Southeast Asia. Within China, my expertise lies in the west of the country. I take great pleasure in designing slow, immersive itineraries, and I spend a lot of my time hunting down family-run eateries and local food spots that don't appear in guidebooks, so that every traveller I work with eats properly.

Mo's Expertise

I have worked in tourism since 2017, across sales, tour operations and resource procurement — which means I understand the full travel-service workflow, not just one corner of it. I am a foodie, and I plan like one. Inspection trips have taken me through Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand, where I have sought out family-run diners, street-food corners and culinary spots well off the usual tourist routes. Within China, my expertise covers the west: Xi'an, the Silk Road towns, Xinjiang, Guizhou, Chongqing and the Yangtze Three Gorges.

Best Travel Experience

When I first travelled to Tibet in 2015, I passed through a tiny stopover — not a city, not a town, not quite a village. There was a single street, and you could see the far end of it at a glance. The power and water were cut every night, and there were no public toilets. The sun did not set until nine in the evening. For all its remoteness, that little street had the clearest sky I have ever stood under and the most devout people I have ever met.

Why is Mo the right travel expert?

Alongside strong hotel relationships, carefully vetted accommodation and genuinely off-the-beaten-path sightseeing, my real advantage is personalised, food-led trip planning. I build relaxed, slow-paced, fully immersive itineraries around each traveller's preferences. The goal is that you eat, wander, explore and unwind the way locals actually do. On every inspection trip I hand-pick the places worth going back to — family-run restaurants, street-snack stalls, the roadside spots nobody writes about. Every plan I put together is built around real local food culture, so travellers come away having genuinely tasted the place.
