USA Tours in September 2027

An amazing tour that hits all the high points of Yellowstone's stunning natural beauty, as well as some hidden gems. Our guide, Scott Smiley, was warm, friendly, funny and well-informed. There are full days, and walking, but nothing over a mile, and trails and boardwalks are easy to manage. Park food is not the best (not Insight's fault), but there are many good meals scheduled outside the park. A wonderful vacation/tour for a family of six adults. We decompressed for an extra night in Jackson Hole at the end and were glad we did.

We saw the main attractions of the park such as Old Faithful and the Grand Prismatic, as well as many other thermals. Our guide, Scott Smiley, also located more than 200 bison and other wildlife. Also saw lots of beautiful landscapes. I felt like we got the whole picture of the park.

This was our 3rd Insight Vacation tour and it did not disappoint. On all three, what made the difference was our tour directors. For Yellowstone Discovery , Scott Smiley was excellent. Very knowledgeable of Yellowstone history and able to communicate it in a concise, interesting and engaging format. Our rides between destinations were never boring but also allowed for adequate quiet/rest time. I liked the fact that we were in the Park the whole time and that we had 2 nights at each destination. Accommodations at the Lodges were clean, comfortable and basic. Don’t expect a TV or AC You don’t need it-just open your windows and enjoy nature. The additional expert speakers were great. Another plus is the comfort of the coaches-great leg room and very competent driver. From visiting hot springs, geysers to waterfalls and surprise animal sightings along the road, this was a wonderful way for us to see a beautiful part of America. Thank you and will use Insight again!

Compromise between restrictions on where a bus can go but the bus did go to all the scenic spots. Also got to know what we were looking at plus we covered a lot of places and miles. Well worth it.

Sites and people were outstanding Fair breakfasts and good dinners limited menus. Excellent guide and bus. Well rounded schedule and certainly inclusive of all I wanted to see..most of the hotels were excellent.

so much history and wonder of our beautiful American parks, it has the right name. We stayed in Yellowstone at a lodge, it was such a great experience, would not have been the same if we did not stay in yellowstone. Crazy horse was amazing can't wait to see it finished.
