Rincon De La Vieja, Short Break (on Request)

After landing at Juan Santamaria Airport, a representative will meet and greet you before guiding you to the transport to your hotel. Arrive in Rincon de la Vieja (check-in around 3:00 pm) and enjoy the pristine surrounds of the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, located in Costa Rica’s sunny Guanacaste province and immersed into the dry tropical forest. Enjoy free time at the hotel facilities.

Indulge in a tasty breakfast at the hotel. Today, be ready to explore the natural wonders of Rincon de la Vieja. Visit the Las Pailas sector; this section spectacularly showcases the power of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. You will admire fumaroles, geysers and bubbling mud pots. An expert guide will take you to a walk of 3.5km circular path through the tropical, dry forest to enjoy the best views of the volcano, volcanic activity, incredible nature, and wildlife sightings. When you finish the hike, get ready for a refreshing dip in the La Oropendola Waterfall. From the entrance of the national park is a small walk along a path of varied terrain that leads to the river. You also walk a small distance inside the river until you reach the waterfall. La Oropendola waterfall, with its impressive 25 meters, falls into a bubbling turquoise pool in the exuberant canyon of the Blanco River, creating an incredible tropical oasis.
