The Himalayan Range of Manaslu

The Tibetan enclave of Nupri
North of Manaslu at the head of the Buri Gandaki.
Mount Manaslu, Nepal’s eighth-highest peak, sets the stage for the Manaslu Circuit Trek—a journey revered for its solitude, cultural encounters, and dazzling scenery. This trek winds along the Great Himalayan Trail, crossing the Budhi Gandaki, traversing the famed Larkya La, and passing through the remote villages of Sama and beyond.
With limited permits issued each year, trekkers enjoy a rare sense of exclusivity, encountering Buddhist communities heavily influenced by Tibetan culture. The trail’s remote beauty is matched by the diversity of landscapes: from lush pine forests and alpine meadows to turquoise lakes and dramatic valleys. The descent brings you gradually from alpine heights to tropical greenery before ending in Besisahar.
This tour package appeals to those seeking a less crowded, deeply authentic trekking experience with the unique selling point being its combination of splendid isolation, cultural richness, and sweeping views of Manaslu. For anyone looking to escape the crowds and immerse themselves in the wild heart of the Himalayas, the Manaslu Circuit stands apart.
This is a fabulous trek for those looking for a less traveled path. We really enjoyed passing through all the villages and meeting the locals (and donkeys, yaks goats etc) along the way. Very friendly people, we took a large bag of chocolates to hand out to kids which we would recommend. Beautiful scenery, fascinating villages and challenging hiking at times made for an excellent experience that will stay with us. We went in early March, weather was great but some groups were turned back at the pass due to snow. Helps to have some extra days in case weather is bad. Not for beginners or those not in reasonable shape. Enjoyed the quietness of the route (early season). Tsum Valley a definite highlight, would absolutely recommend adding this to Manaslu Circuit or on its own.
From the start all my questions were answered quickly. On arrival in Kathmandu I was met at the airport and taken to my hotel. All the paperwork for permits etc was done for me. There was a bit of misunderstanding before we set off as I was trekking with some people who were with a different trekking agency but that was soon resolved and the actual trek itself was fantastic right from the moment we left the bus behind and set out on the trail. Our guide, Suman, was the best. He made all arrangements and was always looking out to make sure that everything was ok for us. He was also able to answer most of our questions about the places we went through, the culture, wildlife etc. Altogether this was a special trip for me and it passed all expectations.
Excelent management in the organization. A good guide, totally adviseble. I will do my next trips with them again.
