day 1 - Rome Arrival

On your arrival at the airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

day 2 - Rome

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and later this morning an orientation tour of the Rome city centre. Reach the meeting point of the tour 15 minutes prior to the departure (pick-up from hotel not provided) Today you will enjoy the Eternal City with the Hop On Hop Off open bus tour. You can change your voucher at the office or at any stop along the bus route. Discover the city at your own pace. Optional afternoon/ night sightseeing tours are available.

Optional: Visit to the Colosseum and Roman Forum (3H)
Walk in the footsteps of Roman emperors and citizens on a tour of Ancient Rome, with VIP entrance to the Roman Forum first: The Colosseum will be the last part of your tour. Before you visit the Archeological area you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in ancient Roman times with this intense 25-minute multimedia video showing the before and after effects of all the best sites of Rome including the Colosseum and Underground, Pantheon, Circus Maximum and the Vatican area.

The video is ideal to view before taking your tours as one can appreciate the splendor of how the ruins were in the Ancient Roman Times. Skip the long line at the entrance and access to the Roman Forum: walk along the Via Sacra and immerse yourself in Roman history. The main path through the Roman Forum, the Via Sacra once sparkled with festivals and triumphal processions. Ends at the Temple, which houses the altar where Julius Caesar was cremated. Visitors from around the world still leave flowers and candles at the site to this day. Before reaching the Colosseum, you can have a general overview of Palatine Hill where legend has it Romulus founded the city of Rome. The hill looks down over the Roman Forum and the Circus Maximus chariot-racing circuit. Once inside the Colosseum, your expert guide will teach you about the amphitheater's bloody past, with tales of gladiators, mock sea battles, and executions.

Optional: Rome Catacombs
Get ready to have your assumptions about Rome turned upside down on this incredibly unique journey of discovery. The itinerary includes some of the most uncommon, mysterious, and outlandish sites the Eternal City has to offer. Embark on a fascinating underground tour of the Catacombs, taking you into the unusual history of Rome. Learn about how dating almost 2,000 years to the 2nd century AD, this extensive network of underground tunnels was once a burial ground and a place of worship for the first Christians in Rome.

day 3 - Rome

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Enjoy a full at leisure to explore the city of Rome at your own pace we recommend you to visit Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and other masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance more closely or you can take an optional tour.

Optional: Guided tour of the Vatican Museums & Sistine
Enjoy our guided tour of the Vatican Museums and visit the largest art collection in the world jumping the line. Your expert guide will lead you into the museum and its best galleries where you will admire frescoes, statues, tapestries and historical maps. Walk through the famous Hall of Maps and the Gallery of the Tapestries until you reach the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo’s Last Judgement.

day 4 - Rome - Florence

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and make your way (transfer not included) to the Rome rail station where you will board your high-speed train to Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, transfer on your own to the hotel (transfer not included). The rest of the day is at leisure or join an optional afternoon or sightseeing tours of the city.

Discover two thousand years of history of the cradle of the Renaissance through the eyes of an expert local guide, who will take you in an unforgettable journey to discover the most beautiful squares and monuments of Florence. The city of the Renaissance is literally dotted with Architectural Wonders and Works Of Art, joining our tour you can admire with your own eyes the sites and monuments that have made Florence one of the most visited destinations in the world. The first stage of this enlightening guided promenade will be Repubblica Square, one of the most elegant squares in Florence, where the most refined cafes of the city are located. Follow your guide through the most characteristic streets and alleys until you reach the Loggia Del Mercato Nuovo, where you will discover how to win good luck caressing the nose of the famous Porcellino (wild boar) Bronze Statue. At a stone's throw there is the suggestive Ponte Vecchio, a true icon of the city, famous for hosting the most exclusive jewelry stores of Florence and for its unique structure, and also for being the only bridge of the city spared from the bombings during the Second World War. Follow your guide to the Accademia Dei Georgofili and the Uffizi Square, and discover the beating heart of Florence, Signoria Square, a real open-air museum dominated by the imposing Palazzo Vecchio and the magnificent Loggia Dei Lanzi, which houses wonderful original statues including the Perseus by Cellini and the rat of the Sabine Women by Giambologna. The journey to discover the wonders of Florence will culminate in San Giovanni Square, home of the wonderful Duomo and Brunelleschi’s Dome as well as the Baptistery and Giotto’s Bell Tower.

Optional: Guided tour of the Accademia Gallery
Meet your guide and then enjoy a nice short walk-through Piazza del Duomo, seeing the Cathedral, Baptistery and Giotto Belltower, all the way through to the Accademia Gallery.

Optional: Uffizi group tour
The oldest art gallery in the world! This is a unique experience for those of you who want to immerse yourself in Florence’s artistic background and history. You will be guided through the huge rooms and bright hallways to stop in front of and admire such classics as Botticelli’s Birth of Venus, Leonardo’s The Annunciation and Michelangelo’s Tondo Doni… to name but a few. At the end of the guided tour you can remain in the Uffizi Gallery until closing time.

day 5 - Florence

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy an orientation tour of the Florence city centre. Reach the meeting point of the tour 15 minutes prior to the departure (pick-up from the hotel not provided). Today you will have the chance to discover the famous Chianti area and its rolling hills with a half-day tour. This your will allow you to get away from the noise and crowds of the city and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the world-famous Tuscan countryside. The tour includes two wine tasting experiences and the visit of Greve in Chianti medieval town (free visit). Here you will have time to explore the characteristic alleyways and the central square with its numerous Medieval buildings and its picturesque artisan shops. Return to Florence

day 6 - Florence - Monterosso (cinque Terre)

Today after breakfast, you will go to the train station in Florence on your own and get on board of a train toward Cinque Terre (with the change in Pisa or La Spezia). With your “Two Days Cinque Terre Card & Train”, you will have access to easy and fast connection between all the villages in Cinque Terre destination. Upon arrival in Monterosso, you will have to plan on your own to reach your hotel. The rest of the day will be at leisure.

day 7 - Mon Terosso (cinque Terre)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the entire day at leisure. Cinque Terre means “five lands” in Italian and consists of five fishing villages clustered on the Ligurian coast in northern Italy roughly between Genoa and Pisa. Pesto and Foccacia are a part of the local range of food. This is part of the Italian Riviera, so beaches and small towns abound. Dramatic cliffs plunging into the waves and colourful towns clinging to rocky shores make for an engaging landscape to explore.

Optional: Chianti Wine and Vinci half-day Small Group Tour from Montecatini Terme
Taste the fruits of the Chianti wine region on this inviting, half-day tour. Setting off in the afternoon from Montecatini Terme, you’ll travel via air-conditioned bus or minivan through the scenic countryside. Visit an esteemed area winery, and try the wine that the region is renowned for; you’ll also enjoy samples of olive oil, plus bruschetta, cheese, ham, and other traditional nibbles. Couple your winery tour with a stop in the village of Vinci: Leonardo da Vinci’s birthplace.

day 8 - Mon Terosso (cinque Terre) - Florence -

Today, after breakfast at the hotel, make your own way to your airport for your flight back.
