Oristano: Stop in Oristano, a central-west Sardinian city known for Sartiglia, its historic equestrian carnival. Around Piazza Eleonora, you’ll see local shops, arcades and civic landmarks before viewing the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, one of the city’s key sights.

Bosa: Recognised by I Borghi più Belli d’Italia as one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, Bosa brings together the Temo River, narrow old town lanes and the Castle of Serravalle. You’ll also see traditional lace-making and embroidery practised by local makers, with traditional Sardinian craft worked by hand.

Alghero: See Alghero with your Travel Director, from its waterfront bastions to its Catalan-influenced old town. You’ll pass narrow streets, small piazzas and sea views that show why this north-west corner of Sardinia is known as the Coral Riviera.
