Ghorepani Poon Hill Sunrise Trekking

Excellent support by the local tour operator. We had a wonderful trek in the Poon hill Region. Our guide Bikram & his team were fantastic. I see poon hill when sun is rise wow, i can't forget this is far good. The climb is really hard but the views and scenery is awesome.

All arrangements made for was was A class. Right from we landed till we left off to KL. Experienced guide and a great porter followed us on our journey. I really enjoyed the trek and services.

Me and my new wife decided to go on an adventure for our honeymoon and my friend recommended this trip. I can honestly say, hands down, it was the best trip of my life. That's not only because I got to spend it with my new wife but we got to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity together. V happy.

We are so happy we choose to trek with the local tour operator. From the moment we landed in Kathmandu we were cared for. We were greeted by Ganga at the airport with a warm welcome. Ganga is a lovely genuine guy and wants you to feel comfortable. We were taken to our hotel and ran through the intinerary. The hotel was perfect and in a fab location, just at the top of the Thamel and everything from restaurants, shops, bars, German bakeries, cafes etc right on your doorstep. Our hotel jn Pohkara is was an excellent location aswell! The trek was the perfect amount of time for us! Our guide, Paban, looked after us from start to finish. He was very patient with us, a lovely guy and he had a real passion for trekking which was lovely to see. Couldn't have asked for a nicer guide! Our porter Lalman was also lovely and helped us along the way aswell! We felt very comfortable with them and we had an awesome time! We stayed in lovely guest/tea houses along the way which are standard but authentic and added to the whole trekking experience. All the guest houses are the same standard, some better than others. So if you're looking for luxury accommodation then maybe trekking isn't for you. This operator chooses the best ones and ones they have been using time and time again. We took the Poonhill Trek in August. I would recommend it to everyone!

I was not the one that did the research to pick this particular hiking team - but I sure am happy that my dad did! While it's fairly easy to buy The Lonely Planet and travel around Kathmandu with a book - it's not as easy to trek the mountains alone or reserve your visa for Bhutan. We hired this local tour agency to do both with us and organize our trip to Bhutan. All of this would have been too time consuming if not impossible to plan on our own. There were certainly times when I felt like the team was showing us things that we would not have seen if it wasn't for their wisdom on the places itself. One thing that I can say for certain is that I have found memories, thanks to the organization and kind hearts of the men that were assigned to spend their time with us and it was a trip I will never forget!
