day 1 - KATHMANDU TO LUKLA FLIGHT AND PHAKDING

After a short morning flight to Lukla which is nearly about 6 am to 10 am, you'll be introduced to your guide and porter.

Kick off your trek with an easy walk through Chaurikharka village and descend towards Dudhkoshi Ghat (2,530m/8,300ft). The trail follows the bank of the Dudhkoshi River until Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft), where we will be staying for the night to acclimatize.

Enjoy your free time in Phakding, a popular stopping point for Everest trekkers.

day 2 - PHAKDING TO NAMCHE BAZAAR

We'll have breakfast in Phakding before gearing up for the trek to Namche Bazaar, the biggest sherpa village in Nepal.

Our trail takes us first over the Dudhkoshi River via a long suspension bridge, and then through a beautiful pine forest to Monjo, about two hours away. Soon thereafter, we will approach the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park for a brief permit check and then descend to Dudh Kosi River (spotting Mani stones along the way!) en route to Jorsale.

Lunch will be served here, and then it's uphill to Namche. Our path along the riverbank is flanked by two crossings, one of which is the Hillary Suspension Bridge. It’s a tough climb up the hill to our resting place, but you'll be rewarded in Namche Bazaar with your first glimpse of Everest in all its majesty.

If you are interested, you may ask your guide to take you to the Khumjung Monastery which houses what is said to be a Yeti scalp.

Leaving the villages we circle back to Namche via the small airstrip at Shyangboche.

Nice trekking experience around Mount Everest area

The trek was very enjoyable and the guide Bikash was nice and helpful. Make sure you discuss the accommodation details first as its not clearly stated upfront (where you stay or what kind of room youll have etc.).

Great Trek

Great trek. Our guide, Bishnu, was very accommodating and responsible. Our porter was great too. Our only complaint was the flight detours away from Kathmandu to a smaller airport, which was a 5 hour bus ride from Kathmandu. Kathmandu airport is very busy during trekker season and it is rare to fly from Lukla to Kathmandu, and vise versa. Also, this trek is not a cakewalk. Prepare to tackle exhausting terrain at 3,500 meter altitude, and sleep in 2-4 degree celsius temperatures. Bring very warm sleeping bags and clothes.

Everest View Point Trek

Had a great trek to Namche Bazaar. We got up early (at the suggestion of our guide Binod) and got clear views of Everest! Very cool.

Thank you too much for your services

Dear Sir or Madam, If you decide to go for trekking, exploring the Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan National Park you should turn to Nepal Lion Treks and Tours company. They provide a lot of different services in Nepal so you may find what everything you need. First of all we booked the trekking to Everest Panorama View and we were really happy, because the service was in highest level. Guide Prakash, and CEO Shiva made a lot of efforts and were very attentive for the best quality. Also we booked the car with driver, Paragliding in Pokhara, exploring the Kathmandu, Pokhara and accommodation in Chtiwan National park, with different activities and we totally forgot about the problems, and enjoined the trip. For your best trip in Nepal we are strictly recommend you to take a connection with Nepal Lion Treks. Rgds Grigori and Olga

Smooth, Scenic, and Superbly Organized I joined a 6-Day Marangu Route hike with Kilisa Tours, and the whole experience was seamless. The accommodations in the mountain huts were cozy, and the support staff made sure we were always comfortable. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the mountain s history and wildlife. Everything ran perfectly on schedule, and the company s attention to detail was impressive. I ve done many treks before, but Kilisa Tours stands out for their genuine care and world-class service. Couldn t have asked for more!
