The Trek was excellent - the scenery was fantastic with the clear weather in mid-October. The trekking was sometimes challenging, but never too hard for fairly fit "almost-60-year-olds". The views of Everest and its surrounding peaks, especially from Tengboche Monastery, were fantastic. If you don't feel the need, or have the time, to go all the way to Everest Base Camp, this is the trek to take!
Everest Trekking to Tengboche with my boyfriend was good trekking. Very beautiful mountains. Very good guide and porter. The hotels in the mountain was very good too. Raju was amazing guide and very careful. All thanks to the local operator.
We are a expat couple living in the UAE. We recently had a quick visit to Nepal and booked a trip with the local tour operator. Basically, it was a city tour and a short trek to Tengboche. The tour was perfect and absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.

The trail from Lukla goes down gently and takes us through pleasant views. Once we reach Phakding and eat our lunch we will start moving to our final destination. The trail is flat until we cross Dudh Koshi River and then will start gentle climbing. It will take about two and half hour from Phakding to reach Monjo or Jorsalle. We sleep till late morning before starting our final day walk to Lukla. The length of the trail is pretty short and takes about 3 hours. We will be walking through small forests of rhododendron and pine trees and with potential encounters of monkeys on a lucky day.
Once we reach Lukla we can celebrate or enjoy a beer in the hotel or a bar. Lukla has some beautiful bars with most western liquors.
