Ever dreamed of trekking to Everest Base Camp, but want to do it in greater comfort and with peace of mind? The "Everest Base Camp Trek in Comfort" tour package offers a 17-day journey from Kathmandu that redefines the classic Himalayan adventure for those who value both challenge and comfort. This small-group trekking experience is carefully designed for experienced travelers and seniors seeking a more thoughtful approach to high-altitude hiking.
Following in the footsteps of legendary mountaineers, you’ll traverse the iconic Khumbu region, weaving through Sherpa villages, vibrant Namche Bazaar, and up to the awe-inspiring viewpoints of Kala Pattar and Everest Base Camp itself. Unlike traditional treks that rely on basic lodges, this tour features unique Eco-Comfort Camps: purpose-built, low-impact accommodations with off-the-ground beds, heated dining tents, and clean toilet facilities. These extras make for a warmer, more restful stay—especially appreciated in the cooler mountain nights.
A major highlight is the focus on responsible travel. All meals—freshly prepared by a dedicated kitchen team—are included, sparing you the need to carry extra cash or settle for repetitive lodge menus. Drinking water is provided daily, eliminating single-use plastics. Plus, the welfare of porters is a priority, with ethical load limits and fair wages ensuring your trek is as sustainable as it is enjoyable.
The itinerary is deliberately paced for safe acclimatisation, reducing the risk of altitude sickness and maximizing your chances of reaching Base Camp in good health. Along the route, expert local guides share the rich Sherpa culture and Buddhist traditions that define this region, enhancing every step of the trek. Experience the serenity of Thyangboche Monastery and the camaraderie of your small group, all while surrounded by some of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes.
The unique selling point of this tour is its blend of comfort, sustainability, and expert guidance—ideal for travelers seeking a bucket-list adventure without sacrificing wellbeing. Every detail, from accommodation to porter care, is carefully considered, so you can focus on the journey and the majestic views that await at the foot of Mount Everest.
This was a great adventure to enjoy the mountains, landscape, people, culture and lifestyle. Our guides, sherpas and porters made for a stress free trek and there friendship added to the enjoyment.
Incredible Experience. All guides, support staff so friendly and helpful. Well planned and mapped out itinerary. A genuine desire from all the personnel to ensure each member of our group reached the objective. Just a fantastic experience and now a lifetime of wonderful memories. 10 out of 10.
Our guide Rishikesh and his team did an exceptional job in ensuring i had a great trek. Sharing their insight into the people and countryside, ensuring we were extremely well looked after and making me feel welcome right from the start of the trip.
Awesome trip
Happy to get to EBC. Food got boring and disgusting at times. Our guide Rishi was annoying and by the end of the trip I was happy to do my own thing.
The trip was very well organised with the Nepal-based staff welcoming and professional.
Wow! The hike to Everest Base hike was fabulous. Rishi, Sontos, Luk, Nabin and the crew worked extremely hard every day to make sure that everything was perfect and everyone was happy. The food and accommodation were excellent and I highly commended World Expeditions on their extremely professional organisation. I will definitely return to beautiful Nepal and will certainly travel with World Expeditions in the future. Thank you so much!
WE exceeded my expectations in every aspect of my trek. A warm welcome at The Radisson from Lukpa who arranged my room & helped me with my itinerary for a free day in Kathmandu before our trek started. Our guide Subal was first class in every way making decisive decisions when the weather impacted our flight into Lukla. Acting swiftly, he called in 4x4’s to drive us to Sukla where our trek began. Subal’s years of experience was seamless his ability to communicate & manage so many nationalities was incredible. He succeeded in calmly judging the weather, and making difficult decisions so as not to put our health in danger. His knowledge of the mountains & terrain was impressive, advising us on medical issues, and even managed to limit our inevitable sickness’s. Whilst managing the whole team of Sherpas who carried our bags from campsite to tea house. This incredible team of Sherpas not only carried bags of 15kg they also cooked us delicious 3 course meals every night with hot drinks & filtered water. Yam our lead Sherpa set a pace that everyone managed his expertise demonstrated with patience & kindness daily. Amar who juggled trekking & cooking was simply everywhere. Subal and his team were tireless in their efforts in supporting my journey to Everest base camp as safely & as comfortable as humanly possible. I would highly recommend World Expeditions not only for their expertise but also for their ethical stance on employing Sherpas giving them a fair wage, food, insuring them during the trip & giving them appropriate clothing. My list is exhaustive .. Thank you Team ??
Had an amazing time on this trip, all the logistics were taken care of so that we could relax and enjoy the experience. The tents were very comfortable and the sleeping bags very warm and high quality. Food was excellent, much better than I expected, and a credit to the team of kitchen staff and porters! Highly recommended!
Very well organised and took such amazing care to see me reach my goal and to experience the Himalayas.
Our Everest Base Camp in Comfort adventure was everything we had hoped and so much more. Our guide Bhim was the person who made all the difference. His attention to every detail was spot-on. We learned so much about the Everest Region, Sherpa culture and life in Nepal. Absolute magic!!!!
5 stars for everything. As 2 Ladies in their 60s, we were obviously a bit apprehensive if we would make it. But our team was so encouraging and helpful. Always a smile. Tshering our guide with the help of Raj, Beezy and Gopul made it an experience of a life time. Nepalese are amazing people. Recommend trip to anyone with a certain amount of fitness.
What an amazing adventure! I will never forget the feeling of accomplishment arriving at base camp and the spectacular views every minute of this adventure. It was obvious that World Expeditions does a better job taking care of their travelers than any of the other companies I observed. Can't say enough good things about our guide, Bir Singh, and the rest of our porter/kitchen team.
My adult daughter and I had a memorable trip to EBC in December with World Expeditions and highly recommend the whole experience. Our group of four, were very well supported by an experienced group of Nepali guides, cook, kitchen boys and porters. Our leader – Bir Singh – was exceptional. He ensured everything went smoothly, from recommending “fleecy buffs”, dispensing medication, answering endless questions, to estimating the severity of earthquakes. He offered endless reassurance, always with a smile.
Our team was amazing! They really looked after us, made sure that we stayed hydrated, warm, safe, healthy and happy. No complaints! Everything was beautiful. It was a very hard and rough trek but we all made it to Everest Base Camp. Could not have done it without the support from our team
