We saw many communities that we would never have seen. Excellent tour.!
You should include the optional tours in the original package price. Easier to budget for.
Beautifully arranged but not enough shopping time especially in Lecce, As we passed shops that looked very interesting I wish we could have stayed a bit longer so we could hav explored.
Overall, the itinerary is great and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Excellent tour director and driver! It would be good for people to know how long the optional experiences are so you can fit in some free time to either relax or do some shopping. By opting in for all of the optional experiences, you don't have much time on your own. It is a very fast paced itinerary. It was my first tour so it now I know to not opt in for all optional experiences if I want to have some down time and/or personal time.
Excellent trip into Southern Italy with spectacular countryside and great towns and cities. Very impressed by the history and beauty of the Puglia and Basilicata regions. Alberbello and Matera of course were iconic but Lecce was a pleasant surprise for me. Our guide did a masterful job of providing history and texture to the experience and our driver was truly talented on rural roads. I would highly recommend this trip.
