day 1 - Barcelona
Welcome to Spain. On arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to our hotel in the city. The rest of today is at leisure.
Please Note: This is a bi-lingual, large group coach tour, where a majority of travellers may be Spanish speaking. If this is the case, then English may be the second language. For groups of 12 or more the tour is escorted by a bilingual (Spanish & English speaking) tour leader/escort. They will provide explanations about the itinerary, coordinate accommodation services, and ensure the smooth running of the tour, making your trip an enjoyable experience. When the group size is less than 12, this service may be provided by the driver. There will be experienced bi-lingual local guides for included city sightseeing.
day 2 - Barcelona Sightseeing
Experience the history of Barcelona on a half-day sightseeing tour combining a walking and panoramic journey through the city. We begin with a guided walk through the Gothic Quarter, exploring the Cathedral Square, the Cathedral, and the Old Jewish Quarter.
Next, we board our bus for a panoramic drive, heading to Montjuic, site of the 1992 Olympics. From the bus, we’ll view the Olympic Stadium and, weather permitting, enjoy stunning city views via the aerial tramway.
Returning to the city, we’ll pass through Plaça d’Espanya, admiring the Venetian towers, MNAC, and Las Arenas shopping centre - once a bullring. We continue along Passeig de Gracia, home to Gaudi’s masterpieces, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera, before concluding the tour at Estacio del Nord. The afternoon is free for you to explore Barcelona at your leisure. Consider taking a tour of La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's legacy and one of Europe's most impressive architectural feats.
Please note: Departures from April 2026 onwards will not include a guided tour of Barcelona. Instead, you will be provided with tickets for the city's hop-on, hop-off tourist bus service and can explore the city at your own pace.
day 3 - Zaragoza & Madrid
Barcelona - Zaragoza - Madrid. After breakfast, we depart southwest, travelling through an industrial and agricultural landscape to Zaragoza. Zaragoza is the capital of Aragon, located along the banks of the Ebro River, the largest river on the Iberian Peninsula.
Known as Cesar Augusta during the Roman era, Zaragoza has played a key role in Spanish history. Enjoy free time to admire the stunning Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, an iconic example of Baroque architecture and a revered pilgrimage site. After exploring Zaragoza, we continue to Madrid, where we are spending the night.
day 4 - Cordoba & Seville
Madrid - Cordoba - Seville. Leaving Madrid, we journey through La Mancha, the land of Don Quixote. We can enjoy glimpses of its iconic windmills near Puerto Lapice. Crossing the natural gateway of Despenaperros, we enter Andalusia, arriving in Cordoba for our first stop of the day.
In Cordoba, we enjoy an included tour of the Mosque-Cathedral, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture and a symbol of the city's glorious past. We also stroll through the charming Jewish Quarter, with its narrow, winding streets. In the afternoon, we continue to Seville, Andalusia's most popular city destination.
day 5 - Exploring Seville
This morning, we enjoy a panoramic tour of Seville, beginning with a visit to the Cathedral, the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. We explore the charming Santa Cruz quarter, famed as the setting of Carmen and the birthplace of the Don Juan legend. Continue through the beautiful Maria Luisa Park and the iconic Plaza de Espana, Seville's main square.
After our tour, the afternoon is free for you to relax in the hotel or continue exploring at your own pace.
day 6 - Granada & the Alhambra
Seville - Granada. After breakfast, we journey east along the Caliphate Road, passing ancient olive groves in the heart of Andalusia. Our destination is Granada, the final stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms until 1492.
Upon arrival, we visit the Alhambra, a world-famous complex of palaces and fortresses, along with the Generalife Gardens. These remarkable sites have inspired countless authors, including Washington Irving in his Tales of the Alhambra.
After the tour, we check in to our hotel. In the evening, you may choose to attend an optional Flamenco Zambra show.
day 7 - Granada at Leisure
You have a free day in Granada today. Whether you want to delve further into the city's Muslim heritage, tuck into some authentic Spanish cuisine or simply relax in the Andalusian sunshine, it's up to you how you spend the day.
day 8 - Toledo & Madrid
Granada - Toledo - Madrid. Today, we drive north to the Imperial city of Toledo, rising high above Castilla and surrounded by the Tagus River. This World Heritage City, where Christian, Moorish, and Jewish cultures once coexisted, offers a rich tapestry of Spanish art, history, and spirituality, with the entire town designated as a National Monument. We will take a short, guided tour through its narrow, historic streets before continuing our journey back to Madrid.
Please note: Following client feedback, this tour will not visit Toledo from April 2026 onwards. Departures will instead return to Madrid earlier in the day, with more free time for you to explore the Spanish capital.
day 9 - Madrid
Tuck into a final breakfast in the hotel before our tour comes to an end. There is an included transfer to the airport.
